The Despised Luna's Comeback

Chapter 509 Negotiating

"Please step outside." At that moment, the werewolf doctor and nurse rushed into the room, immediately asking us to leave as they began to pull back Ryan's blanket to begin their examination. I stood anxiously by the door, trying to peer through the glass to catch a glimpse of what was happening inside. But the nurse quickly walked over and drew the curtain shut, blocking my view. Now, I was left outside, feeling helpless and frustrated. "Ryan seemed fine just a moment ago. How did it suddenly get like this?" Sebastian spoke slowly, his eyes focused on me. "Maybe it's because you mentioned Yura. He might have subconsciously heard it." "What?" I was completely baffled. "Wasn't he unconscious? How could he hear anything? I didn't say anything about her! What are you talking about?" "Didn't Ryan just call out for Yura? Didn't you hear it?" Sebastian frowned, looking at me intently. I fell silent, realizing that I had indeed heard Ryan muttering Yura's name. "But ... " I didn't know what to say. Sebastian fixed his gaze on me solemnly. "Yura's important to Ryan. Now that he has regained some consciousness, you should stop making things difficult for Yura so that she can come and keep him company. It might help him recover." "I ... " I was hesitant. Sebastian's expression darkened, and his Alpha presence suddenly flared, his voice cold as he added, "If you don't agree to this, I won't allow you to see Ryan while he's in the hospital." In that instant, I felt all the strength drain from my body, and I collapsed to my knees, reaching out to grab Sebastian's sleeve. He pulled it away coldly. "For Ryan's sake, go. Bring Yura here. Otherwise, don't bother coming back." Panicked, I nodded quickly, all my previous resentment evaporating under the overwhelming power of Sebastian's Alpha presence. He was right. If it was for Ryan's well-being, then as the Luna of the Storm Pack, I could endure a little discomfort for my son's sake. "I'll go find Yura now," I said, turning to leave. I went to the ultrasound room first, asking around, but no one had any information."Mrs. Lindsay, we only do exams here with scheduled appointments, and we have many patients every day. It's difficult to find someone based on just a description. You could try the outpatient department. Maybe you'll find the doctor you're looking for there," the werewolf nurse explained. I rushed to the outpatient department, looking through two rooms without success. Finally, I found the female werewolf doctor in a room at the end of the hall. I immediately gestured and described what I was looking for, and she helped me figure out which room Yura was in. I hurried there without wasting any more time. Rosaline's POV: I had brought breakfast for Yura, but she was too upset to eat. After some gentle coaxing, she managed to eat just a little. However, after taking just a few bites, she spotted Zera standing at the door. Yura quickly set the plate down and, looking nervous, spoke up. "Mrs. Lindsay, I'm fine. I'm just getting some nutrition drips." "How's the baby?" Zera walked in, her gaze fixed on Yura as she asked. Yura nodded. "Good. Then come with me. Ryan needs you." Yura froze, exchanging a glance with me. I was just as confused. What was going on? Wasn't Zera just annoyed with Yura and trying to push her away earlier? Now she was asking her to come along. Was there something else going on? I stood up and spoke, "Mrs. Lindsay, Rosaline is currently getting an IV drip. She can't leave right now. Is there something urgent you need to discuss?" Zera glanced at me, then at Yura, letting out a heavy sigh. "Ryan needs you. The doctor is performing emergency treatment. You know how he feels about you. You could be a help to his recovery." "What's wrong with Ryan? Why is he in emergency treatment? I'm going over there right now!" Upon hearing that Ryan was in trouble, Yura immediately began removing her IV needle, eager to rush to him. But I quickly grabbed her arm. I was growing frustrated. "What are you doing? Didn't you hear the doctor? When will you start caring about yourself?" "But Ryan ... " Yura spoke. "Are you a doctor? Do you think just showing up will fix him?" My words made Yura pause, and I continued to calm her down. "I know you're worried, but right now, what can you do besides worry? It would be better to focus on taking care of yourself first. Do you think Ryan would want to see you in such a state?" I squeezed her hand gently, urging her to listen to me. Yura understood, giving a slight nod. She looked up at the IV bag and said, "Mrs. Lindsay, Rosaline is right. If I go now, I'd only make things worse. I can't help, and I know Ryan wants me to be okay. "The IV will be done soon. I'll go right after." Zera let out a cold huff, clearly holding back her frustration. Just as I had suspected, she was trying to get Yura to come along. But I couldn't stand her attitude. Why was she still acting so arrogant, like she was giving orders? It was disrespectful. Zera paused for a few seconds before speaking again. "My son is lying in a hospital bed because of you. Don't you feel any guilt? It wouldn't kill you to remove that needle! My son is in danger right now!" At the mention of Ryan, Yura couldn't hold herself back and almost stood up to rush out. But I grabbed her arm tightly, holding her back. I glared at her, and she finally calmed down, frowning as she addressed Zera. "Mrs. Lindsay, I do feel guilty. But it was you who pushed me out earlier. Besides, the doctor told me to take care of myself."
