The Despised Luna's Comeback
I never imagined that a hasty choice of mine would lead to such catastrophic results. As I watched Ryan's eyes flicker, as though he might slip away for good, I desperately cried out, "Ryan! Don't close your eyes, stay with me ... stay with me!" From afar, I could hear the distant sound of an ambulance siren, its headlights flashing toward us. I quickly turned and waved my arms, yelling as loud as I could, "Over here! We're over here!" The ambulance arrived swiftly, and several werewolf doctors and nurses jumped out, immediately loading Ryan onto a stretcher. I didn't care that my hands were drenched in blood; I followed closely behind them as they rushed him into the ambulance. Inside, I held onto Ryan's hand tightly, refusing to let go. Only when the medical staff started performing basic first aid did I reluctantly release my grip. Still, I stayed by his side the whole time, tears streaming endlessly down my face. My thoughts were a whirlwind of panic. I couldn't even begin to imagine what I would do if Ryan didn't pull through. I hadn't even had the chance to call Rosaline. At last, we reached the hospital. I ran alongside the gurney but was stopped at the doors to the operating room. I couldn't stay still, pacing back and forth in a state of panic, overwhelmed with guilt and regret. When a werewolf doctor emerged, I rushed to him, breathless with worry. "Doctor, how is Ryan? Is he in critical condition?" The doctor met my gaze with a serious expression. "His condition is very serious. He has multiple severe injuries, and he's in a deep coma. We've already contacted the Alpha of the Storm Pack. Given the circumstances, we need his permission before we can proceed with surgery." "Please, save him. I'm begging you, please save him!" I had no idea what else to do. In my panic, I grabbed the doctor's hand, pleading with him until he promised he would do everything possible. Slowly, I released my grip and helplessly turned my gaze back toward the operating room doors. Rosaline's POV: I had called Yura three times, but there was no answer. A crease formed on my brow, and a sense of unease settled over me. I dialed again, not expecting much, but this time, Yura's voice came through the phone—filled with panic and fear. "Rosaline ... " there was a slight quiver in her voice, like she was holding back tears. "Yura, didn't you pick up earlier?" I had meant to check in, to ask about her and Ryan, but hearing the distress in her voice, my tone shifted to one of concern. "Where are you? What's going on?" At the sound of my words, Yura completely broke down, sobbing uncontrollably. Between sobs, she gasped out, "Rosaline, Ryan ... Ryan had an accident. He's in the hospital, and ... I don't know what to do ... " "What?" I was stunned, moving quickly toward the door. I wanted to ask more, but hearing her cry so heart-wrenchingly, I couldn't press her further. I tried my best to calm her down. "Tell me which hospital. I'm on my way!" Yura's POV: After giving Rosaline the hospital address, I hung up and collapsed into a chair in the hallway, my hands covering my face as the tears fell. Ryan ... I hope he would be okay ... Suddenly, a growl echoed through the hallway, its volume growing louder as it approached. I looked up and saw two massive wolves charging down the corridor. The other people in the hall scrambled out of their way, panic rising in the air. The first wolf reached me quickly, and I instantly recognized the commanding presence—the Alpha of the Storm Pack, Ryan's father, Sebastian Lynch. The Alpha lifted his head, eyes scanning the operating room door. In an instant, he shifted into his human form. The other wolf, a female, followed quickly, transforming into a woman with striking beauty, her features strongly resembling Ryan's. She must be his mother, Zera Lynch. "Doctor, doctor! How is my son? Is he going to be okay?" Zera rushed forward, her face filled with panic, tears on the edge of falling. The doctor, seeing the Alpha and Luna, dropped to his knees in respect. He pulled out a surgical consent form and handed it to them, bowing his head as he spoke, "Alpha, your son's condition is critical. He needs surgery immediately. Please, sign this. If we wait any longer, it may be too late." "Of course, we'll sign it right away." Sebastian grabbed the pen and quickly signed the form. He handed it back to the doctor and looked him squarely in the eyes, his voice tense. "Please, do whatever it takes to save my son. Storm Pack cannot lose its heir!" The doctor nodded anxiously, and the door to the operating room closed again, the "No Entry" sign turning red. Sebastian and Zera stood by the door, their anxiety palpable. Zera clung to her husband, sobbing as she asked what to do. Sebastian wrapped his arm around her shoulders, trying to remain calm, though his eyes were filled with worry. Then their gazes turned toward me, sitting nearby. Their expressions shifted immediately. Zera's face twisted with rage as she stormed toward me and slapped me hard across the face. "It's your fault! I know who you are—you're the woman my son's in love with! If it weren't for you, none of this would have happened! What are you still doing here? Get out! Leave!"
