The Despised Luna's Comeback
Ryan's POV: I couldn't even remember how I left the hospital. Each step felt as if I were walking through thick mud, my mind stuck in a loop of Yura's words about wanting to end the pregnancy. Feeling numb, I opened the car door and sat down, preparing to head back to the set. But my mind was elsewhere during the entire drive, and before I knew it, tears were streaming down my face. I was so distracted that I barely avoided other cars, swerving instinctively when needed. Yura's face kept flashing in my mind, her eyes filled with rejection when she turned me away earlier. The ache in my chest clouded my thoughts, and in my daze, I lost my grip on the steering wheel. The car swerved sharply toward the stone bridge railing. Bang! A deafening crash erupted as the car slammed into the barrier, sending a cloud of dust and smoke into the air. The impact threw me violently back into my seat, and I tasted blood in my mouth as everything around me blurred into a deep red. My eyelids felt heavy, and I struggled to keep them open. My fingers trembled as I reached for my phone in my pocket. With shaking hands, I dialed Yura's number and held the phone to my ear, my mind barely able to focus on anything except repeating her name. "Hello." Her voice came through the line, calm yet tinged with exhaustion. "Do you need something?" "Y-Yura ... " I forced a weak smile, my voice barely a whisper. Blood dripped from my forehead, staining my phone. I gasped, feeling a sharp pain in my chest, as if it might tear me apart. "What's going on? Where are you? Are you—" Before she could finish, I interrupted her, my voice cracking. "Yura, listen ... I ... I don't know how much longer I have ... Maybe ... I don't have long left ... I'm ... sorry for everything ... " Every word felt like a dagger to my chest, and my consciousness started slipping away. I fought to stay awake, but it was getting harder. "I ... don't know how much longer I can hold on, but ... I just wanted to say ... I ... love you ... "I forced a smile, spitting out blood as I spoke, "I love you so much. "If I ... If I really die, you should ... go ahead and have the abortion. I think ... I should respect your decision. Yura, I'm sorry ... " I lost all strength, my vision darkening until everything went black. Yura's POV: "Hello? Ryan, where are you? Say something, Ryan!" I called his name over and over, but the phone remained silent, even though the call was still connected. Something felt terribly wrong. After hanging up, I acted on instinct, grabbing my coat and rushing out the door, speeding to find Ryan. It wasn't until I reached the bridge where the accident had happened that I saw his car. But now, it was wrecked beyond recognition. My heart clenched with fear as I quickly pulled over and rushed toward the car. When I reached the front, I found Ryan unconscious, blood covering his head. The phone was still connected to the call. I froze in shock, then forced myself to calm down, my hands trembling as I reached for Ryan's face. I could see the blood staining his jacket. "Ryan, Ryan, wake up, please!" There was no response. I carefully checked for any sign of breath, and thankfully, I could feel it. Without wasting any time, I dialed for help. "We've had a car accident. Someone is badly hurt ... on the bridge near ... " I gave the location in a panic, my voice trembling. After hanging up, a sharp pain twisted in my chest. If I hadn't just said I was going to terminate the pregnancy, maybe Ryan wouldn't have been in this accident. How did this happen? It was all my fault ... I gripped Ryan's bloodied hand tightly, my heart breaking as I saw blood foam from his mouth. My tears fell freely, splashing onto his hand. "Ryan ... I'm so sorry, I didn't mean for this to happen. Please wake up, okay? The ambulance is on the way. You need to hang on ... " I gently caressed his face, pleading for him to come back to me.Slowly, Ryan's eyes fluttered open, his gaze weak but focused on me. "Y-Yura, what are you doing here?" "Ryan, Ryan!" My vision blurred with tears, but hearing his voice filled me with relief. I grabbed both his hands tightly. "Hang in there. I’ve already called the hospital. The ambulance is coming. Please, just hold on." Ryan gave a faint smile, his lips curling weakly. He opened his mouth with great effort and whispered, "I ... I want you to know ... I love you ... Don't ... do anything rash ... Don't get rid of the baby ... I ... " "I won't. I won't get rid of the baby. Don't worry. I won't do it ... " My voice cracked, and the tears fell uncontrollably.
