The Despised Luna's Comeback

Chapter 424 Wounds That Won't Heal

Hearing this shocking news, I immediately sprang up from the sofa, grabbed my bag, and bolted out the door. As I hurried along, I tried to comfort Yura over the phone. "Don't panic. I'm on my way. Just wait for me!" "Rosaline, what happened?" Jasper, noticing my sudden change in expression, quickly hung up his own call and asked with concern. "I have something urgent to handle. I'll leave the casting decisions to you for now. Call me if anything comes up!" Without further explanation, I dashed out of his office. When I arrived at the hospital room, Yura was the only one left inside. She sat with her hands covering her face, her shoulders trembling uncontrollably as she sobbed. "What's going on?" I rushed over and held her by the shoulders. Yura shook her head repeatedly, her voice trembling as she choked out, "He's gone. I can't find him. I searched the entire hospital, inside and out. He's nowhere to be found. Where could he have gone? Did something happen to him?" Frowning, I glanced around the room. Sure enough, Timothy was missing. I gently patted Yura's back in an attempt to soothe her. "Don't worry. Let's go out and look for him again. A park nearby—if he left the hospital, someone must have seen him. Plus, it wouldn't be easy for him to walk far with his injured leg. He would definitely stand out. Someone must have noticed him." Yura managed to suppress her sobs, lifted her head, and nodded at me. We left the hospital and asked any werewolf we encountered if they had seen Timothy. But no one had. Yura and I eventually made our way to the small park nearby. By then, Yura was utterly exhausted. She leaned against the metal bars of a workout station, her eyes filled with helplessness as she scanned the area. "Timothy, where did you go?" The park was bustling with people, but Timothy was nowhere to be found. At that moment, a young werewolf boy approached and tapped Yura's wrist. He handed her a neatly folded piece of paper and said, "Hi, a boy told me to give this letter to you. He said you shouldn't look for him."Yura instantly became alert, whipping her head around to search for Timothy's figure. But there was no sign of him. The young boy had already run off, leaving Yura with mixed emotions and staring at the letter in her hands. She slowly unfolded it, and I leaned in to read it with her. "Yura, I am deeply grateful to you and Rosaline for rescuing me from the disaster zone, but I truly don't love you anymore. Clinging to the past won't do either of us any good, so let's break up. I will have already left the hospital by the time you read this letter. Please don't look for me. Take care of yourself. —Timothy." Just a few short sentences, yet they tore Yura's heart apart. Tears dripped onto the paper one after another. Yura slowly crouched down, sobbing uncontrollably. "Timothy ... Why did you leave? What about your leg?!" I felt terrible for Yura. Her uncle was arriving tomorrow, yet Timothy had chosen to leave at this critical moment. It was clear—he had truly decided to walk away from her. Yura trembled all over. The departure of her fated mate forced her to endure the agony of both physical and emotional separation. I had no way to ease her pain, so I could only hold her tightly in my arms. Wendy's POV: At the Wild Pack's villa. Michael placed a cup of warm water on my bedside table. "Wendy, even though you've been discharged, you need to rest. The doctor said you're still very weak." Lying on the bed, I nodded weakly. "I know. I will." I had just returned home from the hospital today. The wound on my wrist had mostly healed, but it had left behind an ugly scar—one that was impossible to ignore. A thought suddenly struck me, and I asked Michael, "Michael, where's Caden? He hasn't visited me these past few days." Michael hesitated briefly before slowly replying, "Caden went to the disaster relief efforts. He won't be back for a while. Also ... " "Also, what?" I pressed him. Michael let out a long sigh. "Rosaline is back.""Rosaline is back?!" I abruptly sat up, my voice rising sharply. "How did she manage to come back?" A disaster as massive as the earthquake in Yerkshire couldn't kill her? Rosaline was incredibly lucky! I lowered my gaze, my right hand unconsciously clenching the bedsheet so tightly that my fingers trembled from the force. Staring at the hideous scar on my wrist, the hatred within me surged once more. If it weren't for that wretched Rosaline shamelessly seducing Caden, would I have attempted suicide? Would I be left with such an ugly scar?! And now, that disgusting Omega dared to return! She came back completely unscathed! Rosaline! I will never let you off the hook!
