The Despised Luna's Comeback
"Really?" I smiled faintly. "Definitely!" Heidi glared at me, her eyes full of spite. When her gaze landed on Caden, it softened in an instant. "Have someone check Rosaline's computer. The truth will be clear!" "Why check my computer?" I pretended to stop her, "I haven't done anything, there's nothing to find." "What's wrong, Rosaline? Are you scared?" Heidi sneered. Seeing how eager Heidi was, I lifted my chin slightly. Perfect. The bait had been taken. "I haven't done anything, so why would I be scared?" I pressed my lips together. Heidi's envious stare drilled into me, like a sharp knife, filled with so much hatred it felt like she wanted to tear me apart. She pressed harder, "Rosaline, if you haven't done anything, why not let someone check?" I was about to speak when I heard Caden's cold voice: "Beta, have someone take Rosaline's computer and ask an IT expert to come over." "Yes, sir!" Yale said respectfully and turned to leave. Heidi looked pleasantly surprised. I narrowed my eyes and said lightly, "Caden, do you also believe that I leaked the bid price of Eclipse Pack?" Caden's cold gaze fell on me, and he slowly raised his lips. "I will thoroughly investigate the truth." He paused, his gaze growing a bit more intense. "To clear your name." Caden's POV: I didn't believe for a second that Rosaline would leak the bid details. If it were for money, she could've just come back to me, become the future Luna of the Eclipse Pack, and have as much money as she wanted. Why would she go through the trouble of getting involved with BPL? However, Heidi completely shattered her usual soft and meek image by aggressively accusing Rosaline, which honestly took me by surprise. I needed to know the truth. Public opinion had already turned against Rosaline, with a barrage of negative reports and comments jeopardizing her reputation. Only by uncovering the truth could I clear her name. "Thank you," Rosaline said, looking at me with a grateful expression. Soon, Beta Yale arrived with an IT expert, and they brought Rosaline's computer over. The IT expert opened the computer and began typing rapidly. Ten minutes later, he stood up and said respectfully, "Mr. Holbrook, the bid was indeed sent from this computer." As soon as he finished talking, Heidi snapped, "Rosaline, what do you have to say now?!" Rosaline stayed calm and unbothered. "Heidi, just because the bid data came from my computer doesn't prove anything." "That doesn't prove anything?" Heidi gritted her teeth and snapped, "The bid was leaked from your computer. Who else could it be?!" "Why couldn't it be someone else?" Rosaline replied calmly. "Someone tampered with my computer and deliberately framed me! "Can you find out exactly when the bid was sent?" Heidi turned to the IT expert. The IT expert nodded. "Please give me a moment." After a few minutes of working, he sat back down and said, "I found it. It was sent at 10:30 AM yesterday." "Caden, all we need to do is check the surveillance footage to see who was using the computer at 10:30 AM yesterday, and the truth will be clear," Heidi said excitedly. "No need for that," I said, pressing my lips together. "I was at my desk at that time." "So you're admitting to leaking the bid?" Heidi asked in a cold tone. "I'm only saying I was at my desk at 10:30 AM yesterday," I replied with a smirk. "You really know how to twist things."Heidi glared at Rosaline before walking over to stand beside me. "Caden, the evidence is clear. It was definitely Rosaline. Should we call the police?" I was about to speak when Rosaline gave a faint smile, her piercing gaze fixed on Heidi. "Heidi, are you sure you want to call the police? You know who leaked the bid." "What are you implying?" Heidi stiffened under Rosaline's icy gaze. Rosaline stepped forward, her voice sharp and firm as she enunciated each word. "What I mean is, the person who truly leaked the bid price is you, Heidi Tessford!"
