The Despised Luna's Comeback

Chapter 198 Tessa is a B*tch

Rosaline's POV: Tessa? My heart thumped ferociously. I shoved Caden away, my chest heaving with anger. "Caden, enough!" What the hell is this b*stard thinking? What did he take me? He already had Tessa, and yet he was doing this to me—was this some form of humiliation? Heidi's eyes scanned my face, and her expression changed slightly. But she quickly hid her emotions, biting her lip as she weakly spoke, "Caden, I'm so sorry. I forgot to knock. Did I interrupt something?" Caden released me and calmly adjusted the shirt that had been disheveled during our kiss. He spoke flatly, "No. How did you get here?" Heidi's eyes briefly flicked to me before she put on a sweet smile for Caden. "Caden, I just came to thank you." "Mm?" Caden's lips quirked into a half-smile. Heidi stepped closer, playfully linking her arm with his. "Thank you for transferring my grandma to the best hospital, and getting her the best doctor. She's feeling much better now, and she asked me to tell you—when you have time, she wants to thank you personally when she's well." Caden's lips curved slightly, his expression cool. "It was nothing." This Tessa ... her tone and expression screamed b*tch in every way. I took a deep breath, trying to steady myself, before a cold smile crept onto my face. I turned to leave. "Rosaline!" Caden pushed Heidi aside, trying to catch up. I ignored him, but I heard Heidi's sugary voice calling after me, "Caden, is Ms. Sinclair upset? I'm sorry, I didn't know she was here. Should I go apologize and explain things to her?" As I took the elevator down to the first floor, I was about to exit when a cold voice called from behind me, "Rosaline!" That voice ... Of course, she's following me.I froze and turned around. Standing there was Heidi—the same girl who had just been in Caden's office, fawning over him like a damsel in distress. "What do you want?" I asked coldly. Heidi clicked her heels as she walked up to me, no longer looking vulnerable. Instead, she eyed me with a cold, appraising gaze. "You're very beautiful," she said coldly. "Graceful, refined, and elegant. No wonder you could catch Caden's eye." I crossed my arms and looked at her, waiting to see what kind of show she would put on. Heidi snorted. Her lips curled into a victorious smile. "Rosaline, you must know what Caden and I mean to each other, right?" I let out a cold laughed. "What is your relationship with him? How does that have anything to do with me?" My indifference caught Heidi off guard. Her eyes flickered for a moment before she spoke again, "You think I don't know you were trying to seduce Caden earlier. Let me warn you, stay away from him! I'm the one he likes! "You should know, Caden's been searching for me for years. I'm the one he's always loved. Otherwise, he wouldn't have been with me on the day you two got engaged, and he wouldn't have gone out of his way to bring in the best doctors to treat my grandmother. "I'm the one he's in love with. He's even told me that he plans to marry me!" Heidi's face practically beamed with pride as she said this, her victory barely hidden. "Is that so?" I replied flatly. On the outside, I seemed unaffected, but inside, a sharp pain twisted in my chest. Tessa's smug attitude in front of me—was this something Caden had allowed? Is he trying to crush me under his foot? Heidi smirked and leaned in closer, her voice lowering to a whisper meant for only the two of us, "Let me tell you one more thing: Caden said you were the one who seduced him and shamelessly pursued him, that you made him feel sick." A chill ran through me.Whether or not Caden actually said that, I didn't know. But hearing Heidi say it made me feel disgusted. "Stay away from me!" I snapped, pushing back when Heidi leaned in too close. "Ah!" Heidi let out a dramatic scream before suddenly collapsing to the ground, her face contorted in pain. "Ms. Sinclair, why did you push me?" I stood frozen, shocked. What the hell? I hadn't even touched her! But then I realized what was happening. Caden was descending the elevator and had coincidentally witnessed the whole thing. "Tessa, are you alright?" he asked, rushing to her side and offering his hand to help her up. Heidi, now playing the victim, collapsed into Caden's arms, tears in her eyes. "Caden, I'm so sorry. No matter how much I apologize to Ms. Sinclair, she won't forgive me. It's my fault. I'm so useless." I folded my arms and looked on with cold indifference, seeing right through her performance. Honestly, I was a little surprised—and a little sorry for Caden. The woman he had always loved turned out to be nothing more than a b*tch.
