The Despised Luna's Comeback

Chapter 195 Should You Reveal Your Identity?

I nodded slightly and coldly instructed the driver, "Follow the car ahead quickly." "Yes, Miss," the driver replied respectfully, keeping a safe distance behind Jasper's car. We followed Jasper's car all the way to Elderwood. I watched as Jasper took the luggage from the trunk and walked with Rosaline into his apartment in Elderwood. Seeing them walk side by side and enter the apartment, Lilian couldn't hide her anger and jealousy. With a bitter tone, she spat, "That shameless Rosaline, how dare she move into Jasper's place!" I glanced at Lilian and said, "Jasper is keeping a woman, and it turns out to be Rosaline. Do you think the media would go crazy if we leaked this information?" "But wouldn't that affect Jasper?" Lilian asked with concern. "What are you afraid of?" I shot her a sharp look. "Do you want to watch Rosaline cling to Jasper?" "Of course not," Lilian responded with frustration. I smiled faintly. "Exactly. Rosaline is shameless. She just got dumped by Caden, and now she's immediately going after Jasper. The media will definitely add fuel to the fire. They might even dig up dirt about her and other men. Everyone will turn against Rosaline. She'll be the public enemy. When that happens, will Jasper still want her?" My words stirred Lilian's thoughts. She nodded thoughtfully. "Wendy, you're right. If we can just get her away from Jasper, I'll get my chance." ... Rosaline's POV: I followed Jasper into his apartment. "Rosaline, do you like it here?" Jasper asked softly as he brought my luggage into the bedroom. "Mm, it's fine, thank you." I looked around the apartment. It was a one-bedroom unit. Although the space was small, it was well laid out, beautifully decorated, and matched my taste perfectly. "If there's anything you need, just let me know. I'll have it delivered right away," Jasper offered kindly. "I'm good for now. I'm a little tired, so I'd like to rest," I replied with a gentle smile.Since I wanted him to leave, Jasper was speechless, and then he nodded. "Alright, I won't disturb you. Get some rest, and call me if you need anything." "Thank you." I showed no sign of emotion at his concern. As Jasper turned to leave, he stopped at the door and turned around. "Rosaline, do you have any plans for the future? Will you return to Starplay Entertainment and reveal your identity?" I frowned slightly and shook my head. "No need." "Why not? Aren't you concerned about the rumors online?" Jasper asked, puzzled. It was true—there were all kinds of nasty things being said about me online. If I revealed my identity, the rumors would be easily dispelled. But honestly, it didn't matter to me. I tilted my head slightly, smiling with calm confidence. "You just said they're just rumors. Why should I care?" After a pause, I added, "Besides, my focus is on how to cure Mr. Richard's illness. Everything else doesn't interest me." Jasper nodded thoughtfully and said in a low voice, "I see. Well, rest well." He gave me one last look before turning to leave. After Jasper left, I pulled out my laptop from my suitcase and quickly opened it. With practice eased, I typed in a few lines of code, successfully hacking into the hospital's security system. Minutes later, I had all the information about Mr. Richard's condition. According to the records, his surgery had been quite successful, but for some unknown reason, he hadn't woken up. I rubbed my forehead, staring at the screen as I pondered. If modern medicine wasn't helping, maybe I could try something else—something like combining witchcraft and werewolf medicine. Perhaps ... a shaman approach? Although I had some knowledge of it, I wasn't fully skilled, and I didn't have much confidence. If I could get Hughie to help, I was sure I could cure Mr. Richard. But I didn't even know where Hughie, the expert in shamanism, was right now.My mind was in turmoil. Still, I knew I needed to see Mr. Richard in person to confirm whether his condition could benefit from a shaman approach. Since Caden was preventing me from seeing him, perhaps I could ask Yale for help.
