The Replacement He Never Wanted

Chapter 264 Addison Give the Order to Kidnap Virginia

"Excuse me?" Georgina didn't catch what she said, so she narrowed her eyes and repeated the question. Addison gave her a smirk, a hint of mockery in her expression. She gently shook her head. "I didn't say anything." She was still hoping Georgina would take her to change clothes and knew now was not the time to provoke her. Addison quickly shifted the conversation. "Ms. Hamilton, weren't you supposed to show me to the changing room? Should we go now?" Georgina eyed her with suspicion. The expression on this woman's face. Why does it make me feel like she's secretly insulting me? Addison didn't bother to analyze her expression further. Instead, she glanced at her phone, it was already getting late. Divine Healer was scheduled to appear at the Medical Symposium in less than an hour. If she didn't change clothes soon, she would miss the time. "Ms. Hamilton, are we leaving or not?" Addison pressed again. Georgina raised an eyebrow at her, her smile appearing friendly, though her thoughts were elsewhere. Addison better not give her any leverage. She snapped her fingers and took a long, assessing look at Addison from top to bottom. Addison stood tall, letting her inspection happen. After a tense silence for two minutes, Georgina seemed to have finished her evaluation. "Let's go," she finally said. She lifted her skirt and walked ahead in front of Addison. Addison followed silently, her face showing no emotion. After a few steps, Georgina seemed to recall something and spoke again. "Ms. Daves, the wool blanket you're wearing is really warm, and it looks like it's made of high quality."Addison gave her a quick glance but stayed quiet. She couldn't figure out why Georgina brought up the blanket out of the blue. But Georgina wouldn't compliment it without a reason. There had to be something more she was trying to convey. As Georgina spoke, she reached out to touch the white blanket. The blanket was entirely wool, soft to the touch, and cozy, creating a soothing sensation. She ran her fingers over it, making a sound as she said, "The quality is really impressive." It was clear she had more to add. Addison raised an eyebrow. "Ms. Hamilton, why are you asking about this? Are you feeling cold? "If you'd like it, just say so. I wouldn't mind giving it to you," Addison replied, extending her hand to take the blanket off and offer it to Georgina. Halfway through, Georgina grinned and halted her movement, saying, "There's no need for that, Ms. Daves. You don't have to be so formal." Addison stopped what she was doing. Georgina was blunt and didn't hold back her words. She had been keeping her feelings inside for a long time, and now, she could no longer hold them in. With a sharp tone, she remarked, "You didn't spend your own money on this blanket, so it's easy for you to just give it away." Addison immediately responded, "What do you mean by that?" She wasn't one to beat around the bush, so she went straight to the point with her question. When two straightforward people came together, they naturally spoke plainly, and even the efficiency increased significantly. "I'm guessing this blanket isn't yours, right?" Georgina's words were sharp, with a hint of insinuation. Addison smiled. "Of course, it's not mine." It had been given to her by the man earlier, and she hadn't had the chance to properly thank him yet.But she felt a bit curious and asked, her tone questioning, "How did you know?" Georgina glanced at her with a cold look. The look of disbelief was over the top. Georgina felt that Addison's expression and words were clearly a way of showing off. She was bragging about how she didn't even know the son of the Whites, yet Ben was rushing to give her a blanket. It was repulsive. As if sticking to Lance wasn't enough, she now had to flirt with other men. Georgina fought to suppress her disgust and sneered coldly, "The Whites' name is stitched right onto this blanket." The Whites' logo was clearly visible on the blanket, gleaming brightly. In Kreshill, it was clear to everyone that this blanket belonged to the Whites. "Don't act all clueless; it's ugly," Georgina said bluntly. She couldn't stand people who acted naïve or pretended to be innocent. Addison was taken aback by her sudden insult, her face filled with confusion. "I ... ugly?" When she was younger, she often spent ten days to half a month at a time with her grandfather in Herbs Valley, rarely returning home. When it was time for university, her parents sent her abroad to study, conduct research, and carry out various experiments. Not long after returning from her studies, she married the Johnstons and has lived in Halton ever since. Because of this, she wasn't very familiar with matters in Kreshill, so she didn't know anything about the so-called Whites' logo. "What's your relationship with Ben White?" Georgina glared at Addison with a cold expression, her gaze fixed on her. It was as if Addison dared to lie, she wouldn't let her get away with it. Ben White?Addison had never heard of that name before. She sighed and started to say, "I don't ... " Before she could finish, her gaze lifted, and she noticed they had already reached the dressing room door. She immediately fell silent. Since they were already there, she didn't feel like continuing the conversation. If it hadn't been for Georgina knowing the place so well, Addison wouldn't have bothered to explain anything. In fact, she probably wouldn't have said anything to her at all. With that, Addison stopped talking, opened the door to the dressing room, and entered. "Hey, you still haven't finished your sentence!" Georgina noticed Addison walking in without replying, blinked in surprise, feeling a bit irritated, and followed her inside. The dressing room was enormous and elegant. The first thing that stood out was the grand hall, featuring column details and beautiful statues, which gave it a somewhat vintage and refined style. The space was so grand that it hardly seemed like a place for changing clothes. As Addison placed the dress she was holding down, she turned and saw Georgina step through the door as well. She assumed that Georgina was only coming in to have a quick look, but to her surprise, Georgina sat down on the nearby couch and showed no signs of leaving. "Ms. Hamilton, I need to change. Are you sure you want to stay here?" Addison's words were direct. She needed to change, and Georgina shouldn't remain in the room. However, Georgina appeared to miss the hint entirely, looking completely innocent. "It's fine, go ahead and change. I won't bother you." Not bother me?How could I change with her still here? "Ms. Hamilton, this might not be appropriate." Georgina smirked and said nonchalantly, "We're both girls, what's wrong with that? "If you're embarrassed, I won't look." As she said this, she playfully raised her hand to cover her eyes. Addison was about to lose her patience with Georgina's behavior. She took a deep breath. "Ms. Hamilton, are you really not leaving?" Georgina nodded firmly. "I'm not leaving. "I brought you here, so I need to make sure you're safe. If something happens to you, I'd feel guilty." Her words sounded so self-assured. Addison couldn't help but grimace at her self-righteousness. It was all unnecessary. If she simply refrained from causing trouble, that would be enough. The idea of her "protecting" me was truly absurd. But there was no time to argue, and Addison couldn't waste another second on it. She reluctantly searched for a corner that would offer some privacy. She removed the wool blanket draped over her and gently placed it aside. Then, she glanced down and took off the talisman she had been wearing, carefully setting it on a nearby shelf. Georgina turned his gaze and spotted the talisman that Addison had removed from her body. As Addison moved to the corner, she stood up and focused intently on the talisman resting on the shelf. The talisman was simple yet classic, with the clear inscription of the name "Angel." Suddenly, Samuel's words echoed in Georgina's mind. Samuel had been kneeling in a deserted factory at the time, speaking each word carefully. "I couldn't see the person's face clearly, but I could tell it was a woman with a talisman on her. The talisman clearly had the name 'Angel' on it."Did Addison give the order to have Virginia kidnapped?
