Alpha Raelyn: The Alpha They Never Saw Coming
Imperial Pack wasn’t located in Varken Prison. It was based in the largest capital on the continent—Capital City. Imperial Pack was one of the top elite clans in Capital City, a powerful and ancient family whose influence stretched across the continent and dated back thousands of years. How could a child from a family like that suddenly end up in Varken Prison and nearly drown? While I was still puzzling over it, a black Rolls-Royce suddenly pulled up in front of me. Out stepped a pair of elegant and noble-looking werewolf parents. The man looked to be in his thirties, tall and imposing—he could easily have passed for someone in his twenties. The she-wolf beside him was decked out in jewelry, but her demeanor was composed and graceful. As soon as they got out and saw the little girl on the ground, their expressions changed instantly. The she-wolf rushed over, cupping the girl’s face. “What happened to you! If something really happened to you, how would your daddy and I go on living!” Watching her get so emotional, I couldn’t help but speak up to calm her. “It’s alright. She’s safe for now. Just needs a few days of rest in the hospital and she’ll be fine.” The woman wiped her tears and looked up. “And you are...?” “She fell into the water earlier. I pulled her out.” The woman immediately looked at me gratefully. “Thank you. You saved our whole family. Once Luoluo wakes up, we must thank you properly!” “It’s nothing. Just did what anyone would,” I said casually. Then the man, who hadn’t spoken this whole time, suddenly stepped forward and stared at my face. “What’s your name?” His tone sounded surprised. “I’m Raelyn Beck,” I replied. “Raelyn… Beck...” Suddenly, both of them widened their eyes in shock. The man tilted his head and whispered to the woman, “Didn’t Third Sister marry someone with the last name Beck?”“Yeah, and she looks so much like Third Sister. The resemblance is uncanny—I’d think she was her daughter.” Of course I heard everything they were saying. But my mind was still focused on meeting Jackson, so I didn’t give it much thought. There were plenty of people in the world with the same name or features. I stood up and said my goodbyes. “Your daughter’s fine now. Just make sure you’re there for her so she doesn’t suffer any psychological trauma. If there’s nothing else, I’ll be going. Bye.” They both looked like they wanted to say something, but I walked off quickly, and they had no choice but to wave and watch me leave from afar. I grabbed my coat and drove to Bluewater Corporation’s headquarters. After diving into the river, my whole body was soaked. I went to my office first, changed into dry clothes, blow-dried my hair, and only then headed to the CEO’s office. As soon as I opened the door, I saw Jackson and Aiden sitting together, chatting in low voices. The moment Jackson saw me, his expression changed. He quickly stood up. “Raelyn, you—” “I just need to talk to you. If you’re busy, I can come back later,” I said coolly. Jackson gave an awkward laugh. “No, no, it’s fine. Mr. Aiden just stopped by to discuss next quarter’s cooperation. Won’t take long, we’re almost done.” Aiden said nothing, but his eyes never left me. “Alright. I’ll wait over here,” I said, sitting on the couch without looking at either of them. At first, I sat quietly. But the more I listened, the more I realized something was off. Everything Aiden said was nonsense. He was clearly stalling. Was he doing this on purpose, trying to stop me from talking to Jackson? Alright then. You wanna play that game? I opened up a mobile game on my phone. Soon I was fully immersed—and furiously yelling at my teammates. “What, your mom doesn’t feed you? You leech off my resources and still suck like this?” “Look at the garbage you’re playing. I’ve seen food delivery guys with better instincts.”“Oh, you’ve got the nerve to flame me? You sat in that bush so long buying gear, people might think you laid an egg in there!” “How much is the other team paying you to throw this hard? Four against six—disgusting.” “If you’re that bad, go donate your hands and play Candy Crush. You could play that with your feet.” Eventually, I flamed so hard that all my teammates rage quit. Naturally, we lost the match. Still fuming, I exited the game—only to find Jackson and Aiden staring at me like I was a ghost. “Alright, fine, I’ll stop. I’m leaving,” Aiden muttered, face twitching as he stood up. I smirked. “Leaving already? Mr. Aiden, weren’t you right in the middle of a passionate speech?” “Raelyn, you know what I mean.” I rolled my eyes. “What you mean has nothing to do with me.” Aiden sighed, looking exasperated. “Why did you come to see Jackson today?” “What does that have to do with you? Do you tell me every time you go meet someone?” I shot back. “I can, if you want me to,” he said, calm as ever. “No thanks. I don’t care what Mr. Aiden is up to.” His expression darkened. Just as he was about to snap, Jackson suddenly cut in. “Okay, okay, enough. Couples fight, but you always make up in the end—” I whipped my head around. “Jackson, what the hell did you just say?” “Wait, aren’t you two already together?” Jackson scratched his head, looking totally lost. “We were never together. And we never will be,” I said coldly.
