Alpha Raelyn: The Alpha They Never Saw Coming

Chapter 131 Madam Regina Wakes Up

He crawled out from under the bed—right beside the three unconscious high-ranking werewolves. Aiden and I rushed over, shocked. "What happened here?" I asked. Tempest stood up unsteadily, panic written all over his face. "I don’t know either! These men even tried to rough up an old man like me. Good thing I’m quick on my feet and dove under the bed. Otherwise, I would’ve been in serious trouble." He looked genuinely rattled, holding his chest as he caught his breath. "You’re okay, but what about them?" I looked at the werewolves on the floor, frowning. Tempest was always drinking and playing chess. How did he manage to knock out all these guys? Tempest chuckled slyly. "That was easy. When they started attacking the guards at the door, I sprinkled my special powder all around the bed. Anyone who got close would inhale it. This powder is one of my secret formulas. Once inhaled, even the strongest will be knocked out for hours." Now I understood. I couldn’t help but admire how cunning this so-called miracle doctor really was. "It’s fine now. I’ve already used the antidote. You two won’t be affected—don’t worry." Aiden checked on Madam Regina. Seeing that she was still peacefully asleep, he finally relaxed. "Thank you, sir. If it weren’t for you, my mom might’ve been taken," he said sincerely. Tempest scratched his head with a sheepish smile. "Oh, don’t mention it. I live to help others—especially if they’re friends of Raelyn. Her friends are my friends." "How is my mom doing?" Aiden looked at her with concern. Tempest waved a hand. "She’s fine. She just hasn’t woken up yet, but I guarantee she’ll be awake within twelve hours." "Thank you." Aiden pulled out his phone and called in more werewolf guards. All the attackers were tied up and sent to the police. Clearly, these guys had been sent to abduct Madam Regina. The mastermind was still unknown, but both Aiden and I had a pretty good idea.Besides Taylor, who else could it be? "Now that she’s stable, you can leave," I said with a smile, looking at Tempest. "I booked your flight. You can leave tonight." Tempest’s smile froze in place. "What do you mean?" "I mean, you can fly back tonight. He downstairs probably misses you. You’ve been away from him for a whole eight hours." "You’re so heartless. Using me and then tossing me aside," Tempest huffed as he grabbed his little suitcase, pouting. "Oh, wait." I stopped him, trying to hold back a laugh at the way this old man was sulking like a child. Tempest spun around immediately. "What is it, my dear Raelyn? I knew it—you couldn’t bear to let me go. You must’ve had a change of heart…" I smiled sweetly. "My witch stones have gotten a little old. Master, could you give me a few of your larger ones?" Tempest’s jaw dropped. "You… you’re really something, using your master like this. Do you even have a conscience?" He wiped at his eyes dramatically, pretending to cry right there at the hospital room door. Aiden stared, completely dumbfounded. "Here." After a few minutes of theatrical sobbing, Tempest threw a cloth pouch at me. I opened it to find several glowing witch stones. My face lit up. "Thanks!" "Hmph. I’m out of here," Tempest grumbled and stormed off, not looking back. I tucked the stones away and gave Aiden an apologetic smile. "Sorry about that. He’s always like this—hope you don’t mind." "It’s fine. Your miracle doctor… he’s kind of adorable," Aiden said with a laugh. "Alright, we’ll both stay here tonight and keep watch until Madam Regina wakes up. It’s the last stretch—we can’t afford another accident."Aiden nodded. "Alright." … "Water." I was nodding off when a weak voice broke through my sleep. I opened my eyes to find Aiden already wide awake, standing by the bed with an expression of joy. "Mom, you’re awake?" he grabbed Madam Regina’s hand. I realized she was thirsty, so I quickly poured some water and helped her drink. "Are you feeling okay now?" I asked as she drank eagerly. Madam Regina grabbed my hand tightly. "Raelyn, thank goodness for you. If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t be here..." She remembered what had happened before she blacked out. I nodded. "I’m just glad you’re alright." Tears rolled down Madam Regina’s cheeks. "Good girl… I was wrong about you..."
