Alpha Raelyn: The Alpha They Never Saw Coming
Aiden's POV I sat in the audience, stunned by Raelyn's performance. Isn't she the Omega who lost both parents at a young age? How did she learn to play the piano? And not just play; it was brilliant. Brilliant enough that even Adam took it seriously. They hadn't rehearsed together, yet their performance was flawless and explosive, as if perfectly in sync. Taylor, sitting beside me, chuckled and said, "I didn't expect Raelyn to be this good at the piano. She's probably at least Grade 8. One plays, one sings–they actually look like a great pair!" Hearing that, my eyes drifted back to Raelyn on stage. Her wavy hair fell freely behind her neck. Under the stage lights, she looked mysterious and breathtaking, the kind of presence that made you want to understand her more. But for some reason, seeing her and Adam working so well together made me uncomfortable. Are they really a good match? Not even close. Raelyn's POV As the piece ended, the room erupted in applause and cheers. I stood and calmly bowed, ignoring the surprised expressions from Adam and the others. After a quick trip to the restroom to freshen up, I stepped out and saw a woman waiting by the door. She wore a brown dress and a mask that hid her face. But her poise and elegance made it clear–she was likely one of the wealthy women from a prominent pack. "You're Raelyn, right? I loved your performance. This is for you." She handed me a beautifully wrapped bouquet of tulips. I blinked, surprised, and accepted it. "Do we know each other?" "No. I just enjoyed your performance. That's all. Goodbye." She turned to leave, but I caught a glimpse of the sadness in her eyes–something she couldn't fully hide. I stood there, staring at the bouquet, feeling a strange emotion stir inside me.Two hours later, the concert ended. Taylor and I returned to the Eclipse Pack villa with the Salvatore family. Robin and Regina had prepared a lavish dinner to celebrate Adam's birthday. After the well wishes and candles, all four brothers presented their gifts. I calmly brought out mine as well. Adam thanked everyone and began unwrapping his presents, property deeds, designer watches, a yacht… everything expensive and extravagant. Then came my gift. It was a modest-sized box, and everyone's expression turned indifferent, even dismissive. They all assumed I hadn't had time to buy anything decent and probably threw something random together for Adam. Adam, too, looked unimpressed, until he opened the box. His expression changed instantly. "What?" He stared at me in disbelief. I smiled, silently signaling for him to accept it. Inside was a LARE microphone; the only one of its kind in the world. This microphone had once appeared at a major auction and was purchased by a mysterious buyer for ten million.Adrian squinted and questioned, "This isn't fake, is it? I missed the auction and tried everything to track it down later–couldn't even find the buyer." I replied, "With your eye for detail, you really can't tell if it's real or not?" Adam interrupted, excited, "Of course it's real! Holy crap, Raelyn, is this really for me?" I nodded. It's just a microphone—no need to overreact like he'd never seen anything valuable before. "Where did you get it?" Adam asked, still stunned. "I play piano well. The person who bought it knew me and gave it to me, hoping I'd pursue a music career. But I don't sing, so I figured you could use it." I casually made up the story and added, "Happy birthday. I'm a bit tired, so I'll head upstairs to rest." As I walked away, I left the entire Eclipse Pack stunned in place. That satisfying feeling of proving them wrong… Nothing quite like it.
