Alpha Raelyn: The Alpha They Never Saw Coming
The werewolf kept coming toward me. By then, I had backed up all the way to the doorway. With the light spilling in from behind him, I finally got a good look at his face. Fragments of memory surfaced rapidly in my mind until one particular image clicked—and my eyes went wide. Wasn’t this the same guy who was always around Aiden? He had been there the first time I met Aiden at the bar. And again, when I got drunk and teased Aiden… this guy had been present. They were clearly close. “You look kinda familiar… Oh! Aren’t you Raelyn? What, drinking alone tonight? Didn’t Aiden come with you?” Apparently, he recognized me too. As he spoke, his hand slid onto my waist. I was wearing a crop top today. The moment his clammy hand touched the bare skin there, a shiver shot down my spine. I slapped his hand away. “What the hell are you doing?” He grinned as he rubbed his handsome face. “Raelyn, let me formally introduce myself. I’m Jensen Sue. You’ve heard of Sue Corp, right? That’s my family’s company. If you’re willing to be with me, I promise you’ll live the good life—wine, wealth, and whatever you want.” Jensen...He was the heir of Moon Pack. So he was one of those spoiled rich brats who got handsy when drunk. I stared at his face—and suddenly flashed him a bright smile. Jensen looked stunned, completely thrown off. Before he could react, I stomped down hard on the top of his foot. “Ahhh!” He let out a sharp scream and raised a hand to hit me, but I grabbed him by the ear and gave it a hard twist. Another pained howl burst out of him.Still gripping his ear, I scolded him through gritted teeth. “Who the hell do you think you are, trying to grope me? You think I’m weak or something?” I was already in a bad mood and had a few drinks in me. Jensen had picked the wrong night to mess with me. He really was a pathetic little rich kid—he immediately started begging for mercy. “I’m sorry! I really am! I won’t try anything again, please let me go!” “Raelyn? What’s going on?” A familiar voice rang out behind me. I turned—and saw Tammy standing just outside the door, looking shocked. “You?” I blinked at her, a little surprised by her heavy makeup. At a place like this, heavy makeup could help a celebrity avoid getting recognized. Still, what was someone like her doing here? Tammy’s eyes shifted to where my hand was still clamped around Jensen’s ear. His face was twisted in pain from how hard I was pulling. Tammy looked stunned. “Raelyn, what are you—” “He’s a creep. Tried to cop a feel, so I gave him a little lesson.” As I spoke, I gave his ear another firm twist. Jensen let out a fresh cry. “I didn’t grope you! I just accidentally touched you! And anyway, I wouldn’t even want a woman Aiden threw away!” My expression turned cold, and I twisted harder. “Ow! Ow! Ow! I’m sorry! I’ll never lay a finger on you again, just please let go!” Tammy stepped forward and gave him a sharp glare. “Jensen, out here hitting on women again? I’m calling Dad right now. Let’s see how he likes hearing you’re back to your old tricks. I bet he locks you up again!” I froze for a moment as realization hit. Jensen Sue, Tammy Sue. They had the same surname. Of course—they were family. Tammy raised her phone to call, and Jensen panicked. “My dear sister—wait, no, my big sister! You win! Please don’t tell Dad, he’ll actually kill me!” “Oh no, he won’t. At most, he’ll lock you up for a few days. Give you time to reflect. He wouldn’t actually hurt you.” Jensen looked horrified. “Fine! I’ll apologize, okay? Just don’t tell Dad!” He turned and awkwardly bowed to me. “I’m really sorry. It was all my fault. Please forgive me.” I was still trying to process how hilariously absurd their sibling dynamic was, so I didn’t respond. Tammy frowned. “Raelyn didn’t say she forgives you. Apologize again. If not, I’m still calling Dad.” Jensen looked like he was in physical pain. “Seriously? I already apologized!” “Doesn’t count. Do it again!” “Tammy, come on, don’t push it. I’ve got dirt on you too! You like that one guy—mmph!” Before he could finish the sentence, Tammy clamped a hand over his mouth. Watching the two of them bicker, my anger had already melted away. Now I just found the whole thing funny.
