Alpha Raelyn: The Alpha They Never Saw Coming
As soon as Aiden finished speaking, Adam popped up out of nowhere. “Why didn’t you ask me to be in the commercial? And you even made me go find an actress? That’s seriously shady.” “Shady?” Aiden shut him down flat. “You can’t be in this one. You’re not a good fit.” But Adam wouldn’t give up. He leaned in and asked, “Why not? You said Raelynn’s gonna be in it too. If she can do it, why can’t I? Are you afraid something will happen between me and Raelynn while we’re filming? I heard you confessed to her right in front of Mom and Taylor.” Aiden frowned. “Afraid of what? What do I have to be afraid of?” “Then why won’t you let me do it? And why are you making me find a girl?” I stared at both of them, caught off guard—and couldn’t help but burst out laughing. “What are you laughing at?” Adam’s pretty eyes were full of confusion. Aiden explained for him, “Did you even read the contract?” Adam froze, then shook his head. “It’s a friendship bracelet ad. You’re a guy. What are you gonna do in it?” Embarrassment flashed across Adam’s face. “Ahem, well… I mean, if I’m shooting with Raelynn, maybe I could dress up as a girl… just for the part.” I stared at the boy, completely speechless. “Alright, cut it out. Did you find the actress I told you to?” Aiden asked. Adam gave me a quick look, then reluctantly nodded. “I found one of the more popular actresses right now. But I gotta say, it’s really hard to find someone with that kind of sexy vibe you were talking about.” He pointed at me. “Your concept is ‘angel and demon,’ so obviously you need two different types. Raelynn’s got that sweet, pure vibe. She’s perfect for the angel. But for the demon role, you need someone sultry and bold.” “You couldn’t find anyone? If that’s the case, you don’t need to be a celebrity anymore. I’ll tell your agency to shelf you. You can come back and work at the office.” Adam immediately panicked. “Come on, don’t be like that! I’m telling you, this role’s impossible to cast. There are barely any girls like that in showbiz. They’re either trashy sexy or cutesy innocent—nobody has that cold, seductive energy you’re looking for!” “Just because it’s rare doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. I’m giving you one day. If you still can’t find anyone, you can forget about your career and go corporate.” I listened to them go back and forth, then turned to Adam with a smile to calm him down. I pointed to a pop-up on the computer screen and said coolly, “I think she could work.” The news article featured a sweet-faced, innocent-looking girl—none other than the current breakout star, Tammy. “How is she seductive?” Adam looked at the screen, confused. “She’s just like you—pure and cute.” I gave a light smile. “She’ll play the angel. I’ll play the demon.” “You? A demon?” Adam mumbled under his breath. I looked at him and flashed a grin. “That’s because you don’t know the real me.” Aiden studied me closely, then nodded. “Adam, go contact Tammy. She’s our angel.” Adam didn’t dare argue. He left, grumbling, to get in touch with her. Things went smoothly—Tammy agreed right away. The shoot was scheduled for Sunday at 3 p.m. When Adam called to let me know, I was curious. This girl who had taken the city by storm—what was she really like? Sunday came, and I arrived at the shoot early. Tammy showed up shortly after. She didn’t quite match her image on TV. Standing in front of me, she looked haughty and full of attitude—like a spoiled little princess. She gave me a head-to-toe once-over before finally speaking. “So, you’re Raelynn?” I nodded. “That’s right. I’m Raelynn.” “I heard you’re engaged to all five of the Eclipse Pack sons. Is that true?” Tammy was only about sixteen or seventeen—your typical teen idol—but with her innocent, doll-like looks, she’d risen to B-list status in under a year. She clearly had some talent. I nodded. “It’s true. Everyone in Varken knows.”Tammy curled her lip in disdain, then asked, “So which of the five Eclipse princes do you like the most?” I’d been wondering why she had such a strange attitude toward me, but after that question, I immediately understood. Looks like this new-gen idol’s got a crush on one of the Eclipse Pack princes too.
