Alpha Raelyn: The Alpha They Never Saw Coming
Robin's POV After Raelyn and Aiden left, I looked at my Luna with displeasure. "Regina, Raelyn has only just joined the Salvatore family. Why are you targeting her like this? She's just a kid!" Regina sneered coldly. "Isn't it because of you? Alpha, why did you bring this country bumpkin Omega into Eclipse Pack?" "I've told you before, this is an arrangement made 20 years ago between me and Raelyn's father, the Alpha of Shadow Pack," I explained. "Arrangement? Bullshit, it's all an excuse! I bet you can't forget that Vanessa Goldberg, right?" Regina said disdainfully. Her words hit me like a shockwave, and my expression froze on my face. Raelyn's father and I had grown up together as childhood friends. As the heirs of two packs, we were once both very capable, but the Moon Goddess seemed to play a cruel joke on us. When we were fourteen, we both fell for the beautiful Vanessa, Raelyn's mother. At the time, neither of our wolves had awakened, but we both fell madly in love with her. We decided to compete fairly, but the Moon Goddess favored Raelyn's father, and I lost in this game of love. Vanessa chose him. Years passed, and Vanessa has since passed away. I never expected Regina would know about what happened back then. "You've been holding onto this for all these years, haven't you? That's why you brought her into our house and treat her so well!" I sighed and took her hand. "No, that's all in the past. Vanessa's gone, and you're my fated mate. You're the only one in my heart." "Then why have you been so nice to Raelyn?" Regina asked, pressing further. "Back when Shadow Pack was attacked by an enemy pack at a tribe gathering, I was there. It was Raelyn's father who saved me by taking a wolf's bite for me. His left leg was severed, and he was left crippled. After that, Shadow Pack declined. That's why, all these years, he and Rae have been living quietly in a small town." I sighed again. "Before Raelyn's father passed, he asked me to take care of her, so…" Regina's expression softened, and she sighed, holding my hand. I squeezed her hand, but in my heart, a ripple stirred. The truth was, neither Regina nor Raelyn knew. Vanessa hadn't died… Raelyn's POV When Aiden and I got back home, the only people left on the sofa were Robin and Regina. Somehow, Regina unexpectedly and sincerely apologized to me. I didn't hold a grudge, so I went upstairs to rest. After I finished showering, there was a knock at the door. I opened it to find Regina standing there. "Luna, do you need something?" "I want to talk to you," she said. After walking into the room and sitting down, Regina spoke directly. "Raelyn, I've accepted your place in Eclipse Pack, and I approve of you marrying my son, but you cannot choose Aiden." I was taken aback for a moment, but asked slowly, "Why?" "Aiden is the heir to Eclipse Pack and will undoubtedly become its future Alpha. He's so talented that his Luna cannot be a low-ranking Omega. So, stay away from him." The Luna of Eclipse Pack was clearly saying that I wasn't worthy.I replied calmly, "I understand." Who would be worthy of Aiden? Without asking, I knew it would be Taylor. The next morning, it was time for me to spend time with the second son, Alex. Alex was the vice president of Eclipse Corporation and the second heir. I heard he often clashed with Aiden. As soon as I got in the car, Alex spoke up. "How did things go with Aiden yesterday?" It was clear that the rumors of their rivalry were true. I casually responded, "It went alright." "I'll tell you this, Aiden isn't a good guy. He's ruthless and cold-hearted. You should never choose him." I couldn't help but laugh and looked at him. "Then, should I choose you?"
