Shining Through the Chaos with My Bulldog

Chapter 668 Hidden Treasures

Natalie raised her voice in excitement. "This is already more than enough!" There were even more emeralds here than at Fiorella's place. More importantly, the quality was incredible. Many of them were collector-grade. Back when she first started upgrading her storage space, just this pile alone would have pushed the space size and blink distance straight to max. It would have boosted the stay time too. But now, upgrades were getting harder and harder. Even taking in emeralds worth hundreds of thousands of dollars barely caused a reaction. She had no idea how much this batch would help. Before long, Natalie cleared out the entire warehouse. The bracelet on her wrist now showed several new streaks of green, very clearly visible. She took a moment to calm herself, then smiled brightly at Cassian. "Let's go! Let's see the ocean. After that, we'll head into the storage space early and test how much it upgraded." Cassian stopped her. "Not yet. There's more inside." Natalie lifted a brow. "More?" Cassian pressed a small gray button near the entrance. The wall on the east side slowly slid downward, revealing another hidden storage room. Natalie's eyes lit up the moment she saw it. "A Paramount Overlord?!" This was the same heavy armored vehicle on the same level as her Knight XV. It was known as the most unstoppable vehicle in the world. A moving fortress. A million-dollar beast. Natalie happily ran over and patted it a few times, then turned to Cassian. "You actually own two monsters like this?!"Cassian knew she loved cars. Seeing her so happy lifted his mood too. He smiled and said, "I like tough vehicles. This Overlord is new. I didn't have time to ship it back to Northlorn yet." Natalie admired the hard steel body for a long time before finally storing it away. The Overlord vanished, and right behind it, another car appeared. Because it sat so low and had been completely blocked before, she hadn't noticed it at all. Natalie stared at the red badge on the hood, eyes going even wider. "A Bugatti?!" Cassian nodded. "Bugatti Firebolt." Then he smiled. "Like you asked. This one isn't black." Natalie couldn't take her eyes off the supercar. The smooth body lines. The X-shaped headlights. The massive rear wing. Exhaust pipes that looked like rocket nozzles. It was stunning from every angle. How much did this thing cost again? Around 5 million dollars, maybe? They said it had up to 1,850 horsepower and a top speed close to 300 miles per hour. Some called it the king of supercars. Others said it was a jet that hugged the ground. Natalie didn't blink as she stared at the supercar. She turned to Cassian and asked, "Did you just buy this one too?" "No," Cassian said. "After I bought it, I realized it suits younger drivers better. I don't look very steady driving it, so I left it here." Didn't look steady enough? Natalie immediately pulled the car into her storage space. I'll drive it. I don't care about looking steady! Even when I'm 70, with white hair all over my head, I'll still dare to drive a supercar down the street. Then she glanced around the now-empty room. "Alright, the cars are packed up. Should we head out now?" Cassian walked to a corner instead and pressed another button. "There's more," he said. Natalie blinked. "More?" As the inner wall slowly lowered, Natalie finally saw what was hidden behind it. Her mouth fell open. "A luxury yacht?!" Her eyes went wide as she stared at the massive white yacht in front of her. It stretched hundreds of feet long, with three full decks. "You parked something this huge under your house?!" she asked in disbelief. Cassian smiled and corrected her. "This doesn't really count as part of the house. It's just an underground storage space." Then he explained, "It was meant as a gift for an overseas client. His wife and daughter liked collecting yachts. But before I could deliver it, the apocalypse hit." Collecting yachts... that was a very niche hobby. Natalie's idea of collecting was still stuck at million-dollar emeralds. Meanwhile, other people were collecting yachts worth tens of millions. This monster clearly wasn't a regular yacht. Most yachts were only around sixty or seventy feet long. This one was on a whole different level. Natalie turned to Cassian. "So, how much does this thing cost? Tens of millions?" "About 40," Cassian replied. Natalie paused. "Oh."She had underestimated it. Natalie clicked her tongue. "Just how big is your business empire, anyway? You're giving away something this expensive as a gift." Cassian answered calmly, "If it opens access to a special overseas market, the return is worth far more than the cost." Natalie frowned. "What kind of market makes that much money? This isn't anything illegal, right?" Cassian laughed. "Relax. I'm a legitimate businessman." Natalie ran her hand along the sleek body of the yacht. "I don't know if you're legit, but this yacht definitely is." With this thing, they were truly set—land, air, and sea. They could go anywhere. Natalie blinked. In an instant, she brought Cassian and the pets onto the deck. She immediately began exploring her brand-new yacht.
