Shining Through the Chaos with My Bulldog

Chapter 506 Threatening Philbert

They weren't just a couple—they were a team who completely trusted and understood each other. The two of them shared a quick look, no words needed. Cassian gave a small smile. "Take a rest here. We'll take care of things." Natalie nodded. "Be safe." After everyone was gone, Natalie pulled Philbert out from her storage space. She could see everything inside that space like she was standing there herself. Every little thing he'd done after going in was under her watch. So when she saw him, she joked, "Such a great hiding spot, but you didn't even get out to look around? Pretty cautious, huh?" Philbert froze, eyes wide and mouth open in shock. He couldn't even speak. How on earth was I back on Greenhaven Mountain again? How did this woman do it?! He looked around in panic, but his van full of explosives was nowhere to be seen. He remembered locking himself inside. So how was he standing here now, all alone, the van completely gone?! "Are you looking for this?" Natalie waved her hand, and the van full of explosives appeared. Before he could even take a good look, she waved again, and it vanished into thin air. "Sorry. That van and the explosives are mine now," Natalie said. Staring at this freaky woman in the heavy fog, Philbert felt like he'd fallen into hell. Magic. This had to be magic. His legs felt weak, and he could barely run. Trembling, he asked, "H-how did you do that?!" Seeing how scared he was, Natalie couldn't help but smirk before going back to her usual teasing tone. "What's so surprising? I just have a simple superpower." Simple? She really called this simple? Philbert's breath quickened. He asked, "What kind of superpower?" She looked him right in the eye and lied smoothly. "I can move people and things anywhere I want." A cold feeling crept down his spine. "A-anywhere?" Natalie's smile widened. "Yeah. Did you like where I sent you just now?" Then she added playfully, "See how nice I am? The world's falling apart, and I still let you visit a little piece of paradise." He didn't believe her for a second. There was no way she meant well. He frowned, keeping his eyes on her warily. But she kept that calm, teasing smile. "What? You didn't like the last place I sent you? "How about I send you to a desert instead? Nothing but sand and heat forever. A totally new experience. You'd never find your way out ... " Philbert stumbled back, heart racing. "No, please, no!" His voice cracked as he begged, "What do you want from me? Stop playing around! If you're going to kill me, just do it already!" Natalie's grin widened. He was scared enough now. Time to talk business. "I'm not asking for much. I just want to know how you got my info. You even knew my name." From how the Grayhound Sect had acted before, this guy's rank was clearly high—probably the leader's right-hand man. He had to know something. Even though he was shaking all over, Philbert kept his mouth shut, lips pressed tight. Loyal and stubborn to the end. Natalie watched him quietly for a moment. She didn't expect him to be this loyal. She tilted her head, then let out a dramatic sigh. "So, where do you think your leader ran off to?" Philbert froze when she mentioned Lisa. "What are you trying to say?" Natalie gave a short laugh. "If you won't tell me, I'll just go ask her myself." He stiffened right away. "You'll never find her! Do whatever you want to me, just leave her out of this!" That reaction said enough. He was definitely loyal. Natalie smiled. "You're forgetting something. I have a superpower." She looked him straight in the eye, her tone sharp and cold. "I could teleport her back here right now." She raised her hand as if to do it. After all the fear and tricks she'd pulled, Philbert finally broke. His face went pale. "Okay, I'll tell you!" Their plan to take over Greenhaven Mountain had already failed, so telling her now couldn't make things any worse. And knowing Lisa, she'd never return to this place anyway. So Philbert told her everything—how Lisa had sneaked into the Hillside Villa District to collect information, and all about Iris, Lillian, and Whitney, right up to what happened to them in the end.Natalie lifted an eyebrow when she heard Lillian's name. She had already worried that something inside the neighborhood had gone wrong. Taking out the leftover Grayhound Sect wouldn't be enough—she'd also need to find and deal with the neighbor who worked with outsiders and leaked her information.
