Jayce’s P.O.V. I still can’t believe we shared a dream, not just me and my Brothers, we somehow dragged our Princess into it with us and seeing her standing there flustered I smile. She just said her goodbyes to Jason and Justin and Jax is holding her in his arms, inhaling his scent to calm herself and Justice down. This will only get harder the more our bond develops, not only for her but for us as well and I hope we can deal with it for the next two years. I hope Elder Edward will send her the information Dad asked for soon, because that will keep her mind of Jason and Justin not being here and I hope she will find some answers for herself as well. After all she is an underaged Mate and I feel it is important she understands why things are the way they are. I know she doesn’t agree with them and a part of me understands her reasoning, but this morning showed that she is too innocent. Even though I can think of a few things I want to do with her and not do something against the Law. I know my Brothers can think of a few things as well, but none of us will act on them as she is still not of age. Jason and Justin hated leaving as it is her birthday tomorrow and for the second year in a row they will miss it. Last year was our own fault as she moved to the Pack-house, because we made living at the Palace very difficult for her. Sometimes I wonder why she didn’t figure it out sooner, but then again she was busy with her studies and getting adjusted to living at the Palace. She was an only child and didn’t realize that our behavior was not typical sibling behavior. All four of us had apologized to Matt in the past year for our behavior, but we never explained to him why we were so over-protective of Hunter. He and Victor know understand why and both of them made it clear that they would put her best interest before ours, just like Max had done. “Princess, why don’t we go to the training grounds? I would like to see how your protection detail is doing.” I say. I just want to get her mind of Jason and Justin for a little while and I hope this will do the trick.Uncle Drake, Max, Papa and Pops join us as we leave for the training grounds and Hunter has jumped on my back, holding on to me tightly. As soon as we reach our destination I see Suzy standing there and my demeanor changes rapidly. I just hope she is smart enough to leave me the hell alone as I see Macy whispering something to her. Max is staring at the women before he looks at Hunter and asks, “Suzy?” Hunter chuckles while she nods her head and I am glad I have the two of them with me. Suzy looks at Max and she lets her eyes glide over his body, up and down. She looks at me after she is done checking him out and then her eyes move to Hunter. If looks could kill I would be burying my Mate soon. “Hello, Prince Jayce. Do we get the pleasure of watching you train?” She asks as she gives me a seductive smile. Max snorts at her comment and her head snaps towards him, before they land on Uncle Drake. “Alpha Drake, it is a pleasure to meet you. My name is Suzy and my Father….” She doesn’t get to say more as Uncle Drake interrupts her. “Yes, I know who your Father is and if memory serves me right I told you last time we met to stay the hell away from me.” He growls. Suzy’s face turns pale as Hunter hides her face in my neck, but everyone can hear her giggle and that pisses Suzy off. “You better watch yourself, little Pup. If I catch you alone you will regret crossing me.” She hisses and before Jax and I can respond Max opens his mouth. “If I catch you anywhere near my Cousin I will rip you apart. I don’t care who your Father is and I don’t care what you think he might be able to do. Come near Hunter and he gets to bury you.” His voice is laced with anger and I know he will carry out his threat. Uncle Drake steps between Max and Suzy as Papa puts his hand on Max’s shoulder to calm him down. “Suzy, you are warned. Stay away from my Niece or I will allow Max to carry out his threat.” Uncle Drake’s words make her pale even more and I have to stifle a smile. Max looks at Suzy as he says, “Uncle Drake, that was not a threat, it was a promise and Nanna raised me to remember that if you make a promise you better keep it.” We all start laughing as Suzy turns and walks away with Macy right behind her.“Thank you, Max.” Jax says and I thank him as well. I am glad he will be going with Hunter where ever her studies take her and I know he will keep her from harm. Max just smiles at us as he winks at Hunter and that makes her giggling even worse. We watch her team train for an hour and a half before we go back inside for dinner and I have to admit that she picked a great team, but most of all I am glad she is taking Matt and Victor with her. Together with Max they will keep her safe and make sure she stays out of trouble. “Yeah, right. Trouble will find her no matter what.” Colt mumbles in my head and I know that he is right, if she doesn’t cause it herself she somehow finds it on her path. Dinner is spend with her whole family present and Mom enjoys getting to know her Aunts and Uncles even better. We hear a few more stories about Mom as a little girl and Mom treats us to a few more stories about Hunter. Mom tells everyone the story on how they found out that Hunter was able to link her Alpha and I see Papa and Uncle Drake looking at one another. As far as I know it is very uncommon for an underaged Wolf or Lycan to be able to do that, except of course when it comes to the family-link for Lycans. That one gets connected as a Pup turns sixteen and through the mind-link I ask Hunter to link Papa. She asks me why and I explain to her the reason for my request, I hear her giggle softly. Her entire family snaps their heads in her direction and my jaw drops as I stare at my Mate, she just linked her entire family at once. “Hunter, what did you do?” Mom asks and she just throws me under the bus as she says I told her to do it, but I just laugh at the expression on the faces around us. “Mom, for Lycans it is normal to be able to link their family from the day they turn sixteen. I asked Hunter to link Papa and after I explained to her why I asked her, she linked all of them at once.” Pops and Dad are laughing, while Mom just stares at me and it is Colt that reminds me of the fact that there are certain things Mom doesn’t know about being a Lycan. “Mom, I am sorry. I forgot that you and Hunter were never educated properly on the difference between Lycans and Werewolves, that things that are normal to us are not normal for the two of you.” I say and Mom tells me it is fine.“I thought I had learned all of it these past few years, but apparently there are still somethings I might not know. Does that mean she can link any member that is related to her?” Mom asks and I actually have to look at Dad. Dad is quiet for a while and it is Uncle Drake that finally answer Mom, “Aspen, she can link anyone she wants. She is a Royal through her Father’s bloodline and that means she can link anyone in my Pack if she wants to. I looked into it after you told me who her Father was and I wanted to know everything I could find out, knowing you didn’t get the right kind of guidance. Her being able to link her Alpha had nothing to do with the ritual, but everything with her Royal bloodline.” Uncle Drake is right, we forgot that she is from the Royal bloodline and that means she is capable of a few more things than a normal Lycan. It also explains why she was able to beat me during training the time I had to assess her. Colt is rolling around in my head and I know she will be a force to be reckoned with once she is fully trained. Damn, I hate to be on the receiving end of her blows when that day comes and I pity the fool that ever pisses her off enough. I think we have to go over everything with Mom and Hunter, because things we take for granted will be unknown to them.
