Harvest Moon: Bound to My Four Stepbrothers
Hunter’s P.O.V. It is exactly a year ago that Dad walked in to our lives and in the past year I have learned that he will do anything for me. If I need him he drops whatever he is doing, he even walked out of a meeting once with some Alphas when I got injured at training. He listens to me when I am bothered by something, we can still collide from time to time and it still amazes both of us that we haven’t killed one another yet. Mom just sits there during those moments, a huge smile on her face. Mom smiles every day, all day long and sometimes I ask her to stop smiling before I wipe it off. We both laughed at Gabe’s remark that I couldn’t do that , the first time I made that remark and Brent had to explain that I was kidding. Gabe and Brent have been discussing adopting a Pup for the past few months and Gabe is reluctant to say the least. He won’t tell me what is holding him back, but I know he will tell me when he is ready. After I settled into a routine with my training and studies, I realized I had too much time on my hands and spend a whole lot of time in the Library. Talking to one of the Council Elders I came to the conclusion I needed something extra to do. I had taken a break from visiting the Library and just wandered the Palace grounds. I ended up at the training grounds and watched as a female tried to teach Pups some fighting skills. When I asked Dad about it he told me it had been one of the teachers at the Pack school, but that most of the teachers didn’t like training the Pups. Not because they didn’t want to, but because they didn’t know how to. I volunteered to take over those classes and Pops volunteered with me, said he could use the exercise. Pops might be over a hundred years old, but he is still fit and in good shape. So Pops and I started training the Pups up to the age of eight. They are a handful, but Pops and I love the time we spend with them. They call me Princess Hunter and it doesn’t annoy me as much as being called Your Highness.I have even made friends here and one of them is Matt, he is the older Brother of one of the Pups I train and he had decided to see why his baby Brother was so damn exited to get training from this guy “Hunter”, not knowing I was a female. He had not made the connection between his baby Brother’s new trainer and the Princess, it broke the ice and we have been good friends ever since. My friends all call me Princess Hunter and I always refer to Matt as my Gamma and the twins as my Betas. The twins moved onto the Palace grounds almost two weeks after I did, their Mother is the second chance Mate of one of our Warriors as he is hers. Ella and Emma are smart and joined me in my studies after a few weeks. The Council Elders like teaching us, they like to challenge us and we always look forward to our time with the Council Elders. On Tuesday and Thursday the three of us spend the afternoon in the Library, because Matt has extra training on those days. I have not seen much of my Brothers in the past year, they have been working a lot for the Council and I know they are just taking over from Dad. The time they do spend at the Palace is usually divided between getting up to speed with everything that happened at the Palace and annoying the hell out of me. I got into a huge argument with Jayce after they returned home from their first assignment, they had been gone for almost two months and he had the audacity to growl at Matt. We were watching a movie in our private living-room and Matt and I had cuddled up in one corner of the couch, while the twins sat in the other corner. He had growled at Matt to get his fucking hands off me and he had a murderous look in his eyes. Luckily for Jayce Pops had been in the room or I would have kicked him in the balls. Mom and Dad had rushed in and told Jayce to calm down, not that it stopped him from glaring daggers at Matt. Ever since that day my Brothers have been acting like jerks, one of them is always home and pops up whenever Matt is around. I have been able to ignore them so far, but it is getting harder day by day. This time Jason stayed home and the only days he doesn’t show himself is on the days Matt has his extra training. Emma and Ella are both engrossed in the first book I ever read in this Library and I love the way they respond to certain topics. “Girls, I need your help.” I say and both their heads snap in my direction. “How much trouble can we get in to?” Ella asks with a mischievous look in her eyes and the three of us start laughing loudly. I tell the girls what I have in mind and Emma and Ella agree to help me with my plan, even though we all know it will get us in trouble. Not only with my Brothers, but also with my parents. At dinner Dad tells me that all my Brothers will be home for the Harvest Moon, I shrug my shoulders at his announcement and I see Jason look at me with a strange look in his eyes. I keep my eyes on my plate and don’t say much during dinner, knowing very well it annoys the hell out of Jason. Everyone tries to get me to join their conversation, but nothing more than a few words leave my lips. “Princess, is something wrong?” Jason asks and I release a huge sigh, “I am not looking forward to this Harvest Moon.” I mumble and I can feel all eyes on me. “Why is that, Princess?” Jason asks. Justice is rolling around in my head, she loves playing with our Brothers and their temper. “Matt turned eighteen three weeks ago and I am afraid he might find his Mate. I know I should be happy for him, but I don’t want to lose him. He is the only guy I feel comfortable around and I know he loves me for me, not for my title.” Mom puts her hand on my arm. “You and I are talking about this after dinner, Pumpkin.” Mom says through the mind-link and I send a little thank you to the Goddess for my Mom’s silence. Jason doesn’t say anything but I can tell that he didn’t like what I said. As soon as dinner is over Jason bolts out of the room and I have an out-of-control laughing Lycan in my head. “Hunter, was that necessary?” Mom asks and now everyone is staring at her. “Mom, none of them gave Matt a chance. They have been growling and staring daggers at him since the first time they met him. I am done.” I look at her as I speak and show her that I am serious. “If my Brothers can’t act normal when I have friends over or when I am talking to a male, they better stay the fuck away from me.” I get up and walk away from the table. “Oh, by the way, Matt is gay.” I don’t wait for anyone to react, I just go to my room and shut the door. I link Emma and Ella to tell them how dinner went and we laugh at the expense of Jason. “Warn me if you ever put me on your shitlist.” Ella states. The following day I decide to spend some time in the gardens, I need to clear my head and this is one way of accomplishing that. I hear Victor complying to Chris that he still hasn’t found a way to get even with Jax. “What did Jax do to you, Victor?” I ask and he tells me what Jax did after he found out I had jumped him. “Would you like to help me put my Brothers in their place?” Victor and Chris both jump at the opportunity to annoy my Brothers. I tell them what I did and what I have planned, but that the last part of my plan is a bit tricky. It can get everyone involved into trouble, but Victor and Chris don’t seem to mind. Chris tells me he knows a few Lycans that would like to get back with at least one of my Brothers and none of them will be too bothered with consequences.
