Jax’s P.O.V. Papa and I are standing on the front porch, just like we had discussed with Hunter and as she had predicted the Alphas are not to pleased. We don’t care about what they think, we just want to make sure that they understand the Law and that they will be under surveillance if they keep opposing it. As I wait for the crowd to quiet down I think about the conversation I had with Hunter, Jason and Justin. At first I wanted to tell her they had to wait for us, but Brick told me that our Lycans had already discussed this and they agreed that they would let Jayce mate with Hunter first. Brick knows that we also agreed to that, but he surprised me when he told me that they knew that once he was allowed to mate with her they wouldn’t mind if it happened without them there. Brick told me that we had only seen a small part of the problems Jayce and Colt went through. That both of them had been agitated far worse than what we had witnessed and that Colt had been even worse from time to time. Knowing that our Lycans had already made up their minds Jason, Justin and I agreed with Hunter and told her that they didn’t have to wait until we were all home. Papa jabbing his fist in my back pulls me from my thoughts and I see that the crowd has finally decided to give me the attention I asked for. Some of the females try to draw my attention towards them and Brick growls loudly in my head. I decide to get that unwanted attention out of the way first, “Goodmorning, I am Prince Jax and I want to make one thing perfectly clear. I have found my fated Mate and even if I didn’t I wouldn’t go for a chosen Mate.” I look at each Alpha as I speak. After that Papa and I explain the Law to them, but we get a lot of back talk as we go trough the Law step by step and we need to take a break for lunch. Papa and I grab a plate full of food and head back to the front porch to eat out there with our Warriors. Two of them found their second chance Mate and I allowed them to travel to their Packs to pack. I hope that we will be done by the time they get back here and that we can head home before dinner. I want to sleep in the arms of my Mate tonight, but I have a feeling that won’t be happening.Daphne chose unmated males and females at Hunter’s request and I believe this is the way we should put our teams together from now on, it gives them a better chance to find their Mate. I had send Mom a text to inform her about the two females we would be bringing home. I know she will make all the arrangements that are necessary and it will be done by the time we get home. “Papa, do you think there might be others that found their Mate?” I ask, just to make conversation. “That depends on how many males and females they run into that were rejected or lost their first Mate. Only that way some of our Warriors will find their Mates along the way, but I wouldn’t be surprised if outside our team there will at least be one more team that loses or gains a member.” He answers and I hope that he is right. Jason’s P.O.V. Pops and I arrived at Moon Stone Pack an hour ago, but all we are getting is attitude from the Alpha and he refuses to gather everyone in front of the Pack-house. The other Alphas and every member they brought with them are waiting for what is to come. I hope the others are doing better than I am, why are they opposing a Law that benefits so many of us. It is not as if this Law was made to benefit just me and my Brothers. I can’t wrap my head around it, but I hope I will get some answers soon. Pops decides it is time to take matters into his own hands and starts addressing the Werewolves and Lycans in front of us, “My name is Benjamin and I am Father in Law to the King, my Daughter was his first Mate. She is the Mother of his four Sons, Jason is one of them.” He points towards me as he mentions my name. “Over two years ago your King found his second chance Mate and she has a Daughter named Hunter, she was fourteen when she arrived at the Palace. My four Grandsons found out that Harvest Moon that she was their Mate, but they didn’t know that all four of them were mated to her. For two years they hid that they had an underaged Mate or that they shared a Mate and when they finally found out it brought an other huge problem with it. They knew that Hunter would be pissed if she found out, but they also knew they had to tell her if they didn’t want to lose her in the end.Hunter came to terms with what they did and she found out that we are no longer taught that we need to tell an underaged Mate because of this. We also forgot that the Law on age of consent excited, it was created three hundred and fifty years ago to prevent Prince Drew from losing his mind. My Granddaughter could have chosen to leave the Law is it was, but she found out that a part of it could cause trouble for an underaged Mate and for that reason she removed a part from the Law. At seventeen you are considered old enough to consent to mating, but for marking the couple has to wait until the Harvest Moon. My Granddaughter wants what is best for the majority of all Werewolves and Lycans, she doesn’t want Laws that benefit just a small part of our community. She is a smart young woman that will do whatever she can to improve the lives of others. We are here to answer any question you might have on this Law or the consequences of breaking this Law. The Alpha of Moon Stone Pack has refused to gather his Pack-members to listen to what we had to say, but I would like to thank every other Alpha for gathering here with their Pack-members.” Pops looks at every Alpha and their Pack-members as he speaks and I can tell that he has taken away any worries they had. The Alphas approach us and thank us for our time. They each withdraw their objection to the Law and I feel relieved that we only have to deal with Moon Stone Pack, even though I know this won’t be an easy task with the Alpha being related to Elder Ward. Justin’s P.O.V. Hunter warned us that these Alphas might not be willing to cooperate and would try to keep this Law from becoming common knowledge under their Pack-members. She had been partially right, three Alphas had been more then willing to listen to me and Dad. The other four Alphas had refused to join us out front, but I had seen several of their Pack-members listening to us and I knew that this would spread like wildfire. None of these Alphas could stop it from becoming known under their Pack-members. I stare out the window as Alphas, Betas and Gammas are talking and I can’t focus on just one voice. I let it all pass by me as I think about my Mate and how much I want her by my side right now. I smile as I think of Hunter, her face as she is fast asleep and her smile as she looks at one of my Brothers or me. She is everything I wanted in a Mate and then some, she is everything my Brothers and I need and I am glad that the Goddess decided to pair her with the four of us. Dad pulls me from my thoughts as his voice booms through the room, “SHUT UP.” I turn around to see that they all have their heads bowed in submission, even though the Alphas are trying to fight it. “I will only give you this one chance, after that I will put your Pack under surveillance and if you break even the tiniest of Laws I will destroy you.” I look around the room at every male present and I wonder if they would be against this Law if it concerned one of their Pups. I decide to keep an eye on all of them as Dad starts explaining the Law, the conditions and the punishments. When I look at Alpha Hank, his Beta and his Gamma I get a feeling something is not right here and I tell Dad through the mind-link as a Gamma is asking a question on the punishment from the Pack. “The Pack-members get a say in the punishment and as an example I will tell you about Three Mountain Pack.” I say and I tell them what we found there. How the Pack-members were allowed to decide on their punishment and what was decided after we read through all the suggestions from the Pack. “When you mentioned the Succession Law all three of them paled, it looks like you are on to something.” Dad tells me through the mind-link as they are thinking about Three Mountain Pack and the punishment the Pack handed out. “Prince Justin, I will withdraw my complaint on this Law. Princess Hunter has thought this through and I believe this will benefit a lot of males and females in the future.” One of the Alphas says and two more Alphas withdraw their complaint as well. Leaving only Alpha Hank to oppose this law, but I have a feeling I might get to take him down on another Law all together.
