Alpha Amarath
Hunter’s P.O.V. Instead of paying a visit to the Pack-doctor I am in our living room with Emma and Ella on their way up and I smile at Jayce as he walks over with a cup of coffee for me. “I want you to think about something, Princess.” He says and I can tell that this is serious business. “If you are not pregnant, do you want to wait with having Pups or not?” He asks, but before I can answer him he shakes his head. “I want to you to take time to think about this, I want you to be absolutely sure on whether or not you want Pups in the near future. If you are pregnant this Pup is more than welcome and we will all love this Pup, but if it is not meant to be than I want to know if we can toss the condoms in the garbage bin.” Smiling I nod my head, even though I already know the answer to his question. I am reading through the Succession Law once again, even though I know it by heart, I just don’t want to overlook anything. Jayce tells me he will be in his office as Emma and Ella walk into the living room and he kisses me on the lips before he turns around, seeing a pout on both their faces. He walks towards them, kisses them both on their forehead and walks out of the room. The three of us giggle at his antics and they tell me I am a very lucky girl, not that they have to remind me of that and I tell them so. Martha brings in breakfast and tells us she will be back later to pick up the dishes. Max is with her and asks her what she will be making for lunch and dinner, they talk about recipes as they leave us to our work. I quickly tell Emma and Ella we need to find as much on Half Claw Pack and Alpha Hank. We talk about who is going to do what as we enjoy the food Martha brought up and I ask them how far they are with everything regarding our little secret. They both start telling me what they have done so far, they chose the rooms for the nurseries and they had decided on a color scheme for the nurseries. They made a list with Mom on everything they are going to need and they already started looking at furniture for the nurseries, they even showed me pictures of some ideas they had come up with. Mom had been a great help according to them and I smile as I hear them talking about Mom’s help. Once we are finished with breakfast we dive into the Archives the Council of Elders keep on every Pack and we go through everything we can find. Hank took over from his Father over fifteen years ago and his parents enjoy their freedom by traveling a lot. Hank chose his Beta and Gamma as a young boy and the three of them grew up together, but there is no mention of Deltas in Half Claw Pack. Emma and I check if his Father had Deltas and to our surprise he had two Deltas while he was Alpha.I am at a loss, why would Hank not have Deltas while Half Claw Pack has had Deltas for as long as it excited? Ella started looking at the bloodlines within Half Claw Pack and she decided to start at the beginning, just to see if and where the Succession Law was broken. It is almost time for lunch when I hear Ella cuss and swear, indicating that she found something in the Archives and both, Emma and I, stay quiet to give her time to calm down. Once she is calm again she tells us it is best if we have lunch first and then discuss what she has uncovered. “PJ, are you able to join us for lunch. Ella found something, but says she needs some food first.” I ask Jayce through our mind-link and he tells me he will meet us downstairs in the main dining room. I link Jax to see if he has made any progress and I sigh in relief when he tells me they finally resolved the issue. Jason is the next one I link and I can tell he is happy to hear from me, he lets me know that Elder Ward had not been completely honest with his family. They finally accepted the Law after he and Pops answered every single question once again and they would be coming home soon. At first I don’t want to link Justin as I still have no answers for him, but Ella tells me it is probably best if he comes home and she tells me that it will take some time to get to the bottom of this, “We will find the answer, but it will take time to find all the pieces of this puzzle.” Ella says. Instead of linking him I decide to call him as we walk down the stairs, he picks up after the first ring and I tell him to come home with Dad, “PJ, we are still investigating Half Claw Pack in regard to the Succession Law. If the other thing is resolved one way or the other you and Dad can come home.” I say the moment I hear his voice. Justin tells me he and Dad are already on their way home as Alpha Hank recanted his objection to opposing the Law. “Dad thinks he did it to get us out of his Pack, that Alpha Hank doesn’t want us to spend to much time in his Pack.” I quickly say goodbye to Justin as I walk into the main dining room and find that Jayce is already waiting with two plates of food. I tell everyone that Jax, Jason and Justin are on their way home with Papa, Pops and Dad. Aspen’s P.O.V. Daniel already called me to let me know that he is on his way home and I almost blurted out the news I have been keeping from him. I told him I couldn’t wait for him to come home and to tell him what I had been up to with Emma and Ella. He had chuckled at my excitement and told me he wanted to hear all about it, but I have made a little surprise for him. It took me a little sneaking around to get it done, but it will be worth it when I see the look on his face. I listen to Hunter as she tells us that everyone is heading home and I smile as I see the excited look on her face as she talks about her Mates. I am glad the boys told her and that they have resolved the issues between them, they look so good together.Life had thrown me a few curves, the first one being pregnant with Hunter and I think back on how I moved to a new Pack before finding out I was pregnant. I thought I would have to handle this all on my own, but my new Alpha had reassured me that I would get all the help I needed. I raised my Daughter the best I could and I don’t think there is anything I would chance, I am proud of the young woman Hunter has become. During my pregnancy I had thought I would give birth to a Werewolf, but after she was born one of my nurses told me that the chance of her being a Lycan would be bigger. I read everything I could on Lycan Pups, but there was not much I could find and I am glad I decided to talk to Alpha Malcolm. He told me that unlike Werewolves Lycans are known to shift at an earlier age, he told me to keep that in mind as we didn’t know anything about Hunter’s Father. He told me that she should start training after her first shift to give her Lycan a chance to release some of the tension, Lycans are known to have a shorter fuse than Werewolves and training helps a lot to keep a Lycan out of trouble. This time around I will have Daniel by my side and I know both my Dads will help me whenever I run into a problem, I won’t be going through a next pregnancy on my own. A hand on my arm pulls me from my thoughts and I look at Gabe to see that everyone is looking at me. “Sorry, I was just thinking about my life and everything that happened in the past. How my life has had its ups and downs and that I couldn’t think of one thing I would change if I could go back to change anything. If I were to change something I might not be where I am today and I like where I am. I have an amazing Mate, four annoying Sons and a strong-headed Daughter.” I say as I look at Jayce and Hunter. “Pumpkin, I am proud of you and everything you stand for. You have and always will be my reason for living, there are only a few more things added to that list.” “Thanks, Mom. I know my Mates can be annoying, just remember that they love you and otherwise I can always kick their asses for you.” Hunter says with a huge smile on her face, while Jayce just stares at her in disbelief and I know she will get an earful about that remark. We spend the rest of the afternoon in the main living room, talking with one and other about what Hunter heard from her Mates and how her trip with Jayce went. It showed that Hunter had been right in her assumptions that none of them had been informed correctly by Elder Ward. I ask her when she is going to del with Elder Ward and the rest of the Elders, “Why don’t we leave that for tomorrow afternoon? That will give Elder Matthew enough time to order all of them to the Palace and it will give all of us some time with the family. Daniel and Justin are the first to arrive home and I am still amazed by the howls our Warriors and Guards release whenever one of my family returns home. The smile on Hunter’s face grows bigger as we both rush towards the front door.
