Theresa, the Doomsday Queen

Chapter 741 She Has Moved On

Lily raised her broad hand and brought it down hard on the man who had strutted over as if begging to be punished. After only a few blows, Harrance's already cracked skin puffed up angrily, and several frostbitten patches split open, seeping thin streaks of blood. Calvin trailed behind Lily, took in the scene, and couldn't help feeling a flicker of sympathy. He had never watched Lily get physical—let alone hit someone as weak and shriveled as Harrance, who seemed one touch away from collapsing. Each slap cracked through the air with a crisp, echoing snap. At last, when a thin line of blood slipped from the corner of Harrance's mouth, Lily let her slightly shaking hand fall to her side. Harrance stared at her with blind adoration, hardly noticing the pain. "Lily, you forgave me, didn't you?" "Don't kid yourself." Lily brushed his hand away. Her eyes burned, and her voice carried a cold, steady distance he had never heard from her before. "I'm hitting you because you've become a liability—to me and to our alliance. "You think this pathetic condition makes you look noble? Dedicated? All you're doing is draining our supplies and wasting the energy of people who actually want to survive. Everyone here values life. If you don't care about yours, we'd rather save someone who's already dead." Her calm, even tone cut deeper than a whip—each sentence slicing across Harrance's racing heart. Because she had never spoken like this. Lily had never treated him this way. She used to talk to him gently—lower, softer, with a warmth she never showed others. Now she sounded like she was speaking to a stranger she barely remembered. Every word carried withdrawal—cool, remote, uninterested. The pain in Harrance's chest surged until he went numb. "Lily, it's me. I'm Harrance." His chapped lips trembled as the shock hit him. His voice cracked with panic and raw desperation."I know who you are." Lily's expression didn't shift. "Anything else?" Only then did Harrance understand—she wasn't faking forgetfulness. She had truly let him go. Fear hit him like cold water. Panic crashed down on him. "Lily! Lily, I messed up. Please don't treat me like this." Harrance grabbed for her with shaking hands. "I love you! I love you, Lily! I know you still love me—don't push me away!" Before he could reach her, Calvin stepped in front of her. "Mr. Campbell, have some dignity." Calvin held him back with one arm, unmoving. Lily didn't bother to drag things out. She simply looked at Harrance with a detached calm. "Harrance, we ended things long ago. There's nothing left. If you want to throw your life away, go ahead. I'll just take it as you dying early in the second wave of the zombie outbreak with the East Sea Camp. At least then I can remember you with a bit of grace." With that, she turned and walked out. At the doorway, Theresa—who had been observing everything—glanced at Lily with unconcealed admiration. She was absolutely ruthless. Theresa followed them out. They had barely taken a few steps when a scream erupted from behind them in the ward. "Lily! I'll win you back! "Lily, I won't lose you again!" Theresa was speechless. That night, Theresa received an application from Harrance requesting to join the Blazing Sun Camp. She rejected it immediately. Not because she wished him dead—just because she refused to accept him. He could join any camp he wanted. Just not hers. By the next morning, she spotted a familiar face among the new recruits in Lucas' K1 Camp—Harrance. Harrance had signed up with K1 Camp.He must have asked around within the Blazing Sun Alliance to figure out which camp ranked second in strength, aside from Blazing Sun itself. The answer was either Lucas' K1 Camp or Theron's Ember Camp. But Theron's temper made Ember Camp notoriously hard to get into. Lucas, on the other hand, was far easier to approach—especially since he had recently lost a large number of members. When he saw a newcomer eager to join, he put Harrance through a quick test on survival attitude and basic combat, then accepted him. But Harrance didn't realize something crucial—K1 Camp might be easy to enter, but its world was nothing like the Blazing Sun Camp's. Right now, Lily stood as one of Theresa's key officers, a major pillar within Blazing Sun. Harrance, meanwhile, was just another nameless recruit swallowed up by the thousands in K1 Camp. And if he ever clawed his way high enough to stand among Lucas' personal guard, he would finally understand the difference between K1 and Blazing Sun. Ten K1 Camps couldn't match half of what Blazing Sun possessed. The distance between him and Lily was farther than the horizon. But that enlightenment would only come later. For now, Harrance was bursting with motivation—especially after witnessing just how powerful the Blazing Sun Alliance truly was.
