Theresa, the Doomsday Queen

Chapter 602 Underground Mall Siege

A huge wave of zombies poured out from the underground mall. After Theresa used her fire ability to clear a path, she said, "You guys go start the car first." "Got it," Miles replied. "Quentin, get the old man and his dog out of here!" "Yes, Beautiful," Quentin said lazily. He pushed the old man toward the train station. Louisa didn't leave. "Theresa, please help my brother! He's still alive!" "Do you have his tracker?" "Yes!" Louisa nodded hard. She pulled out a locator. "He's down there! Please save him!" "Let's go!" Theresa grabbed the locator and ran downstairs. Louisa and Dominic had helped her before. She would save him. Theresa swung her hand, forming an Aeroshield that pushed the zombies aside. Louisa followed close behind, completely stunned by what she saw. That was another ability. Just who is Theresa? How can she be this powerful? Louisa used to think she was one of the best. She had dual abilities and was proud of her strength. She thought she was unstoppable in this apocalypse. But now she realized that compared to Theresa, her abilities were nothing. She was so shocked that she couldn't even speak. She followed Theresa quickly into the underground mall. The place was dark and full of zombies. The smell of rotting flesh filled the air. Zombies were everywhere—in the hallways, inside the stores, and behind the shelves. Then they heard a woman screaming. "It's Flora! She's up ahead!" Louisa said nervously. The next second, she ran after Theresa. Inside a nail salon, three people were backed up behind the counter, blocking the front with cabinets as zombies crowded in. The first zombie clawed through the wooden cabinet. It reached inside, its sharp nails scratching the wood again and again, leaving deep marks. Wood chips fell to the floor. Splinters stabbed into its gray fingers, but it didn't care at all. The people hiding behind the counter felt the pressure from the zombies pushing in. Their hearts pounded like crazy. It felt like those claws were already on their heads, ready to tear into their skulls. Liam, who had strength-based abilities, held the cabinet with all his might. Dominic kept throwing out his water and metal abilities nonstop. He managed to stop a few zombies in front, but there were too many rushing from behind. His powers were almost useless against the crowd. Flora had plant and space abilities, but they didn't help at all. With a loud crash, the nail polish shelf beside her fell apart. A zombie's dark hand broke through the gap. Right at that moment, a bright burst of fire lit up in front of them. Flames roared like the sun. They heard the sound of arrows flying through the fire. The strong impact sent the zombies flying, clearing a path.Dominic and the others stared in shock at the figure walking through the sea of flames and corpses. "Dominic, your sister... she's this strong?" Liam said with his mouth wide open. Dominic looked even more stunned. Was Louisa's fire ability really this powerful? He had never known that. Flora was also staring, but not at Louisa. She was staring at the woman with the high ponytail behind her. Those flames weren't from Louisa. They came from that woman who had joined them halfway through the journey, the one who didn't seem very strong at all. It's her! Flora's face tightened, her feelings mixed. Before Theresa joined, the team only had her and Louisa as the female members. No one really treated Louisa as a girl since her brother was there and her personality was straightforward. Everyone took care of Flora first. After Theresa arrived, she could feel everyone's attention shift. Flora had been jealous. Louisa even gave Theresa the lead position on their route, which annoyed her even more. At first, she thought Theresa was just a pretty face with no real power. But now, seeing those raging flames, she was completely stunned. "Why are you still standing there?" a clear voice called out. Then Louisa shouted, "Come on! Theresa's here to save us!"
