Grief, Betrayals, and a Core of Blaze

Chapter 581 Let's Go to a Hotel

Their noses were touching. Their warm breath caressed each other's cheeks, sending a tingling sensation through them. Baron could even hear his own heart pounding like thunder. His breathing instantly lost its rhythm. "Honey..." Baron whispered, only to hear Natalie say, word by word, "Honey, I missed you. Let's go to a hotel." "Honey, what did you say?" Baron felt the surprise was so sudden, so abrupt, that he thought he must have misheard. Seeing his reaction, Natalie was suddenly too embarrassed to repeat what she had just said. "Forget it. If you didn't hear me, just forget it." She turned to leave, but Baron yanked her back. "I heard you clearly. No backing out now." He immediately hoisted Natalie onto his shoulder and strode toward the nearest hotel. Natalie was startled, then, realizing what he was doing, felt a bit embarrassed. "Baron, put me down. I can walk myself." Natalie's voice was quiet, shy. Baron felt like he was walking on clouds. This bonus from his wife had come so unexpectedly, he could barely handle it. "This is faster." Baron took large, quick strides and arrived at the hotel. The hotel manager saw this and was momentarily stunned. "Sir, are you...?" "We want the best presidential suite. Bill it to Layne at Grant International Holdings. Tell him Baron booked the room." Without breaking stride, Baron headed for the elevator. The hotel manager certainly knew of Layne at Grant International Holdings, but was this man telling the truth? He didn't dare delay and quickly called Grant International Holdings. Layne was still fuming when he received the call. Hearing that Baron was now booking a hotel room made his stomach hurt with anger. "Fine, fine! He doesn't have time to handle company business, but he has time to go to a hotel? Right! Baron, you win!" Layne grumbled and cursed, but he approved the charge for Baron. Once the hotel received payment, they naturally wouldn't ask any more questions, though they were curious about Baron and Natalie's identities. To book a hotel room and have Grant International Holdings pay for it... they had to be important people. The hotel manager went to handle the check-in procedures. Baron, however, couldn't control himself. He swiped the key card, opened the door, and immediately pinned Natalie against the wall, his hot, dominant kiss instantly overwhelming her. Natalie hadn't expected that one spontaneous sentence could drive Baron into such a frenzy. She tried to control her emotions, but the tempest Baron unleashed completely submerged her. She was dizzy and disoriented, unaware of when Baron carried her to the bed or when her clothes disappeared. She could only sink into his movements and drown in the pleasure. Jensen couldn't find Natalie. His calls were blocked, so he had to find someone else's phone to call her. While Natalie and Baron were lost in each other, the phone rang shrilly. Neither of them could spare the attention to even look at it. When the call didn't connect, Jensen assumed Natalie wasn't picking up and had to give up. He knew he had to find a way to secure his position in the Luke family. If Yulia wouldn't help him, he would have to find another way. Natalie and Baron spent the afternoon in the hotel before falling fast asleep. Baron, having been fully satiated, was naturally very happy. He watched Natalie sleep, remembered the ringing phone from earlier, and picked up her phone. He saw several missed calls from an unknown number. Baron called the number back directly. A man answered. "Who are you looking for?" The man's voice was impatient. Baron frowned slightly and asked, "Why did you call my wife's phone around ten this morning?" "Ten in the morning? Oh, that wasn't me. It was Mr. Jensen from Luke Corp. He said his phone was dead and he needed to contact someone important. He paid me a hundred bucks to borrow my phone. I don't think it went through." When the man realized what this was about, he quickly explained. Jensen was well-known, so the man naturally recognized him. Besides, even though the call didn't connect, he had definitely received the money. "Sir, Mr. Jensen seemed really urgent when he called. It might be important. Since you called back, you should probably give Mr. Jensen a call." The man felt that since he'd taken a hundred bucks from Jensen, he should at least try to be helpful. When Baron learned it was Jensen, he was instantly displeased. This man really was like a lingering ghost. He must be having a hard time at the Luke family right now, right? Although the situation with Rachel hadn't been exposed yet, the people Baron had assigned to monitor the Luke family reported that Jensen was not having an easy time lately.
