The Cherished Pet of Nine Beast Husbands
Marcus stood to the side, silently clenching his fists. He had carried Lucien all the way up here, only to end up as nothing but background. He used to think Silas just had a lot of romantic ideas, but now he realized Silas played the talent and devotion card, too. It was downright unfair. When it came to scheming, none of them could match Silas. Just then, Edric and Calum arrived quietly in another elevator. The moment they stepped out, the breathtaking scene stunned them. But a second later, they saw Silas and Emma holding each other, with Marcus off to the side, his face gloomy as a brewing storm. They were speechless at the scene. Honestly, they never should have come up here.Silas, still holding Emma, paid zero attention to their reaction. His chin rested lightly on Emma's head, his eyes full of deep possessiveness and satisfaction no one else could see. "Ms. Tibarn," Marcus' voice sounded utterly defeated. "Is it really okay for Lucien to be left on the bed like this?" Emma froze, suddenly remembering Lucien and Marcus in all her excitement. Silas glanced at Marcus, then at Lucien on the bed. "Lucien should be fine sleeping like that." He turned back to Emma with gentle eyes. "Emy, it's getting late, you've been busy all day, you must be tired. "You should rest, and we'll go get our rooms ready." He figured since Emma had given Lucien so much blood today, even with the Beast God's fruit helping her recover, she had to be exhausted."Mm!" Emma nodded; she really was tired. She told Silas and the others, "You all should get some rest, too." The others nodded, gave her one last longing look, then left quickly. None of them wanted to go. But Emma needed sleep, so they couldn't stick around. As they went down from the top floor, the crew they'd called for room set-up had arrived. They started decorating each room quickly with spatial stones. Silas' room was right below Emma's. He had finished decorating his own room while arranging Emma's. Silas was about to head for his room when Calum stopped him. Calum held out a piece of vine. "Marshal Calum, what's this for?"Silas gave the vine in Calum's hand a calm look. Silas glanced at the vine, recognizing it as Mystra Moonsprout. Calum didn't beat around the bush. "Teach me how to make Ms. Tibarn happy. If you do, this Mystra Moonsprout vine is yours." He knew Remy needed the Mystra Moonsprout now. Silas looked at the vine and smiled. "Marshal Calum, even if I didn't help, as Remy's father, wouldn't you still give this vine to her anyway?" Calum was speechless. Silas never changes. He's impossible. He'll swindle anyone if he gets the chance. Seeing Calum almost lose it, Silas took the vine from his hand. "All right, I'll stop teasing. "I'll send you the method on your lightcore in a bit."With that, Silas twirled the vine and headed to his room. Remy had just woken up yesterday and slept a lot. He'd only been awake for a little while today. The rest of the time, she'd just slept. Silas went back to his room and didn't wake him up. He simply put the vine away carefully. He grabbed some pajamas and went to the bathroom. ... Upstairs, after Silas and the others left, Emma first took off Lucien's ragged clothes. She had the smart robot clean him up. She went to the bathroom for a relaxing shower. When she came out, Emma changed into comfy pajamas and lay down on her bed. Her bed was huge and soft. Lucien lay on the other side; she had to roll several times just to get to him. Emma rolled over, pulled the covers over herself and Lucien, and kissed his face."When you wake up tomorrow, we'll settle this." After such a long day, Emma was truly worn out. She closed her eyes. The scent of Starlune Blossom lingered at her nose, quickly lulling her to sleep. She didn't know how long she slept, but at some point, she vaguely felt a pair of cool arms carefully sliding under her knees and back, gently lifting her from the soft bed. Emma wanted to open her eyes to see who it was, but her eyelids felt so heavy she couldn't lift them. Her body was limp, as if bound in invisible chains, unable to move at all. Soon, the heavy wave of sleep swallowed her up again, and she lost consciousness completely. ... When Emma finally opened her eyes again, daylight was streaming through the massive floor-to-ceiling window. The view outside was quiet and green. Emma snapped awake. This was not the room she'd gone to sleep in last night. Where was she? Did someone move her while she slept? Was it Marcus or Edric? Emma propped herself up, her silk pajamas sliding down her shoulder.
