The Cherished Pet of Nine Beast Husbands

Chapter 404 When Will Remy Wake Up?

Edric rolled his eyes at him. "Do you really think Emma could eat that stuff from outside?" Calum was stunned into silence, but he figured Edric had a point. Food from outside couldn't even come close to what Emma made. These past few days, Calum had been eating food Emma taught Edric and the others to cook, and he was hooked. After all these years, he felt like he'd never really lived before. "What happened?" Emma's voice came from the stairs, and the next second, she was standing in front of Calum and Edric. Kieran and Drake, who had heard the noise, ran over as well. "Emma, did we wake you up?"Edric saw Emma and instinctively took a step back. He was covered in soot and didn't want Emma to get it on her. Silas followed, glanced at the kitchen that had been blown apart, and asked, "What's going on? Why did the kitchen blow up?" Calum kept his head down, not daring to look at Emma. He nervously tried to explain, "It was my fault. I wanted to learn to cook from Edric, but I messed up and blew up the kitchen." He'd only been here a few days and had already managed to blow up the kitchen. Emma isn't going to hold it against me, right? Calum was incredibly anxious inside. Emma's mouth twitched. She looked at Calum and Edric, concerned. "Are you two hurt?" Edric and Calum shook their heads in unison. "No.""Emma, you don't have to worry. We ran out fast and didn't get hurt." Edric glanced at the kitchen, sounding a little down. "But now the kitchen's blown up, so we can't make breakfast." "As long as everyone's okay, it doesn't matter." Emma felt relieved when she saw neither of them was hurt. She glanced at the kitchen and smiled. "I can just have some nutrient fluid today. Once the kitchen is fixed, I'll cook again." Calum looked up at Emma in surprise. Emma hadn't gotten mad, and she didn't scold or blame him. "Emma, I'll get someone to fix the kitchen right away," Calum spoke up quickly. He'd blown up the kitchen, so he had to take responsibility and get it repaired. "Okay."Emma nodded. Since Calum blew up the kitchen, it was right for him to fix it. Now that she knew it was just the kitchen and nothing more serious, Emma felt relieved. She turned to the men in the room and said, "Alright, everything's fine. If you were sleeping, go back to bed. We'll use the kitchen once it's fixed. For today, everyone can just have nutrient fluid." Then Emma looked at Edric and Calum, barely holding back a laugh. "You two should go wash up. You're both covered in soot. That's not a good look." "We'll go shower now." Edric glanced at Calum, then turned and headed back to his room. Calum looked at Emma, then went back to his own room as well. Emma yawned and told Drake and Kieran to go back to sleep. Then she pulled Silas back to their room, too. With no breakfast to worry about, Emma went back and downed a nutrient fluid, then pushed Silas onto the bed. She leaned over him, looking down from above. Her eyes landed on little Remy, who was resting on Silas's shoulder. "Silas, when do you think Remy will wake up?" It had been so many days, and Remy still showed no signs of waking up. "It might take a while longer." Silas looked at Emma as he answered. Remy was still absorbing energy. Silas could feel his vitals were steady. But Silas really couldn't say when Remy would finally wake up. Emma gently tipped Silas's chin up, then whispered in his ear, "So, do you think while Remy's asleep, I can steal a few kisses from you?" Silas really had been living like a saint lately. Even when he slept next to her, he'd bundle himself up tight.Silas's long lashes fluttered a little. He looked at Emma, and she saw her own teasing, expectant face reflected in his attractive eyes. "Emma, you can try and find out." Silas's voice was soft, with a hint of nervousness. A faint blush appeared on his ears. He'd wrapped himself up tight, afraid he wouldn't be able to control himself. But Emma making the first move was breaking his self-control. "So, should I try?" Emma's finger traced his smooth chin, enjoying the soft feel of his skin. She bent down, her warm breath barely brushing Silas's cheek, carrying her own unique scent. The warm air on his face made Silas's breath catch. Emma moved closer, close enough that he could count every one of her thick lashes. Her bright eyes were full of stars, drawing him in."Then try." Silas suddenly sat up and gently bit Emma's lips. Emma hadn't expected him to be the one to make a move, and her eyes widened. Silas let her go after a moment, smiling at her, his deep blue eyes sparkling with light and happiness.
