Burned Vows
Such an experienced man—he clearly wasn’t a good person. Flirtatious and fickle!
As Xia Qingkong thought this, she pretended to relax submissively, tricking the man on top of her into letting down his guard. Then, in a flash, she raised her leg and aimed a kick upward.
Mu Chenhao immediately sensed something was off the moment her body relaxed. How could such a stubborn girl give in so easily? As soon as Xia Qingkong’s kick came, he reacted quickly.
“Bastard!”
She missed. Mu Chenhao dodged to the side and stood up in an instant.
“Didn’t expect you to be this capable.” Mu Chenhao didn’t waste any words. He grabbed her wrist, causing her sharp pain.
“What are you doing? Let go of me!”
“Let go? After putting on that whole act just to seduce me?”
He yanked her up, gripping her delicate chin with one hand.
“You—”
Rip!
Before Xia Qingkong could finish, she felt a sudden chill on her chest. Looking down, she saw that Mu Chenhao had torn open her neckline.
What now? Was she really going to be ruined by a stranger tonight? No way—this couldn’t be happening…
She was still a virgin!

Bang!
“Young Miss!”
Just as Xia Qingkong was panicking, the door burst open and a loud, steady voice rang out.
“Young Miss?”
Mu Chenhao stopped his movement and looked toward Xia Qingkong.
She froze for a moment when she saw who it was. Then her expression shifted—from calm to despair—like a night sky full of stars suddenly covered in dark clouds.
Mu Chenhao looked on with curiosity.
Why would a “young miss” wear that expression?
The man in a suit and gold-rimmed glasses first looked at Xia Qingkong with a twitching face. But when his gaze turned to Mu Chenhao, he forcibly suppressed his anger.
“Young Master Mu, hello. Could there be some misunderstanding between you and our young lady?”
“No,” Mu Chenhao replied, withdrawing his hand and releasing Xia Qingkong.
Xia Qingkong glared at Mu Chenhao, shoved him aside, and backed far away. Then she pointed at one of the bodyguards behind the man in glasses and shouted:
“Take it off!”
The man in glasses immediately understood. He instructed the stunned bodyguard to take off his jacket and hand it to Xia Qingkong.
She put it on and turned to leave, but the man in glasses blocked her path.
“Young Miss, you must come home with us.”
“Home?” Xia Qingkong was about to get angry, but when she saw Mu Chenhao watching with interest, she lowered her voice. “I’m not going back.”
She turned to leave, but Mu Chenhao stepped aside. The man in glasses said, “The Xia family’s car is at the back door. Master said we must bring the young miss back this time.”
Before Xia Qingkong could say anything, two bodyguards boxed her in. She shot a fierce glare at the man in glasses and got in the car.
Upon hearing “Xia family,” Mu Chenhao seemed to realize something.
Xia Qingkong was taken out the back door and ushered into the car. The man in glasses sat right next to her to prevent her from escaping.
The car drove steadily forward. Xia Qingkong wore a dark expression and said nothing.
“When you were born, you disappeared. Master has suffered for years.”
“He’s been searching for you all these years. Now that we’ve finally found you, it’s a shame you won’t come back.”
“We’ve spoken up for you many times. Madam has calmed down now. You can rest assured.”
Xia Qingkong pursed her lips and pulled the oversized suit coat tighter around her neck.
She had grown up with her mother Xie Qiuzhen and her sister Xie Wanying, and her mother had loved her dearly.
But just days ago, a group of suited men came and told her she was the long-lost daughter of the Xia family.
The Xia family—one of the most powerful families in all of SH city. Entering that family meant being swallowed alive without even bones left.
Not long ago, she had nearly died in a car crash on a bridge—courtesy of her stepmother trying to stop her from returning to the Xia family.
Thinking of this, Xia Qingkong shifted irritably and looked out the window.
The car drove swiftly and soon arrived at the grand gates of the Xia estate.
Even before getting out, she saw dazzling lights and a crowd gathered at the gate of the luxurious villa.
“Young Miss is back.”
The man in glasses called out and got out of the car first. Xia Qingkong frowned as she stepped out. But as soon as her foot hit the ground, she realized something was wrong.
She was still dressed provocatively—and Mu Chenhao had torn her outfit. Even with the jacket over it, her disheveled state was obvious…
Damn it! She’d been set up!
That glasses-wearing man was Zhou Yunshen, son of the Xia family’s steward—and he’d let her arrive like this, in front of all these people.
Sure enough, there wasn’t a single good person in the Xia family. And that so-called Young Master Mu—ripping her clothes and humiliating her like this—was the worst.
Well, fine. These people wanted to play dirty? She’d play too.
Standing at the entrance were her stepmother Shen Miaoyu and her “Second Miss” sister Xia Qingchuan. They looked her up and down with mocking eyes.
Xia Qingkong gave a cold sneer, then raised her head and put on a meek, trembling expression as she stepped toward them.
“Well, who’s this? Anyone who didn’t know might think she just came out of some red-light establishment,” Xia Qingchuan scoffed, arms crossed, eyes full of contempt.
“Master instructed us to bring the young miss home today,” Zhou Yunshen replied for Xia Qingkong.
“‘Young miss,’ huh?” Xia Qingchuan’s tone was deliberately ambiguous, and the ridicule in her eyes only deepened.
