Rejected Their Shattered Luna

Chapter 39 -The Two Fuckboys!

The audience was left in stunned silence, unable to even release a sigh to convey the shock they felt from witnessing me slap their beloved Alpha across the face. The entire incident had occurred in the blink of an eye, but the aftermath was explosive. Atticus shot up from his seat and forcefully shoved the table aside, causing me to step back in fear. "Oh shit," Enzo muttered, quickly following after him. everybody had gone silent for a moment as the new events unfolded in the worst way. It wasn’t that I wasn’t scared of them, I was just so concerned for Mara that I didn’t care about my own safety. "HOW DARE SHE! HOW DARE YOU SLAP ME?" Atticus bellowed, making sure his angry voice reached every corner of the cafe as he pointed a finger directly in my face. "What the fuck?" Rosalie displayed extreme shock and swiftly rose from her chair to stand beside Atticus, her eyes flashing with the color of her wolf. She promptly approached me and pushed me forcefully from a distance, while Enzo made sure to restrain Atticus. "You are disgusting," I muttered quietly at Atticus, further fueling his anger. "Who do you think you are? Just because he showed you some kindness and cut you some slack, you thought you could hit him?" Rosalie yelled louder than any of us. "I AM NOT TALKING TO YOU!" I screamed back at her, and I used all the force in my body to push her away. She was the one who had first laid her hands on me, so my reaction was justified. The shock on her face spoke volumes, and she was too stunned to react. To prevent further harm to me, Atticus swiftly moved over to Rosalie and gently held her behind his back. The smile that appeared on her lips when he did so was sickening. "What's going on here?" Hila, the main reason I had taken this step, emerged and shouted at all of us. "She slapped Alpha Atticus!" one of the students from the crowd finally broke the silence to provide an explanation. Hila gasped and stared at me in disbelief. Well, at least now she would escort us to the office, and the principal would have no choice but to pay attention to my case. "You!" She pointed her finger in my face. "Follow me to my office," she declared, but she had barely turned around when she noticed Atticus's protest. "It's okay, you don't have to come," she told him, her tone shifting. "She hit me. I must come," he grumbled, keeping a close eye on her. "Follow me," her voice took on a stern edge as she pointed at Enzo, me, and Atticus. I wasn't fazed by her sternness; I had a bigger battle waiting in the principal's office. I was eager to see how they would justify their terrible actions there. However, I scanned the crowd, searching for Mara because her presence would be crucial, but I couldn't find her. Walking to the principal's office with Enzo and Atticus trailing behind me was a somber experience. As my anger slowly began to subside, my rationality started to warn me about the potential danger I had placed myself in.For a girl without a wolf, I had certainly been bold to slap the Alpha. We all took our seats in the office, and the first few moments were spent with Hila simply glaring at me from head to toe. "What you did was disgraceful," the principal sighed, shaking his head wearily. "Tell me why you did that," Hila demanded, making sure to convey her disgust through her tone when addressing me. Enzo was probably unaware that he was about to be exposed, so for now, Atticus was the focus of attention. I noticed the tension in Atticus's body every time the slap was mentioned. His muscles tightened. "I didn't do it to get the Alpha's attention. It was your attention that I wanted," I replied, which left them all confused. However, this statement pushed Atticus's anger to its peak. "SO YOU HIT ME BECAUSE YOU WANTED HER ATTENTION?" The most frightening thing about him was his enraged presence, which loomed over me as he shouted, his finger almost touching my face. I had to keep my eyes closed to avoid his gaze. "What did you want our attention for?" Hila asked, even though she could have told the angry alpha to calm down. They didn’t even ask him once to present himself with decency, like they tell the rest of us. Alpha Atticus was like a God to them, obviously because his pack was the richest among others. "He--," I paused. "These two have been blackmailing my friend into doing stuff on the school’s grounds after they secretly recorded her in the changing room." I whispered with my head down. I will never be able to forgive myself for not stopping all this from happening when she was getting robbed of her virginity. "What the fuck?" Atticus yelled, getting pulled back by Enzo. "Are you insane? Why the fuck are you lying?" It was time for Enzo to yell at me for taking his name. "What is this matter?" the principal finally spoke up after hearing what I was accusing them of. "It is true. Atticus helped Enzo record my friend, and later Enzo used those recordings to sleep wit---h her on the school’s property." It was so hard to give them details. Since Mara wasn’t around, I had to speak entirely on her behalf. "She is fucking lying!" Atticus yelled at me, "Punish her or I will." He was huffing and puffing like he was on a hunt. "You're the one who deserves the punishment. Why don't you inspect Enzo's phone?" I raised my voice, realizing that the principal wasn't really concerned about who was being rude at the moment. Atticus glanced at his friend, and Hila did the same. My confidence seemed to make him briefly question Enzo. "Show her the phone and let's put an end to this," Hila urged Enzo, who was giving me a fierce glare. "Why? There's nothing incriminating on my phone," Enzo retorted loudly, making them question whether I was being truthful. If he had nothing to hide, he would have displayed his phone.
