If It's Not Me
"Why are you so agitated?" Janice asked him immediately. She had been growing up with Nelson since they were young, so she treated him as her bosom friend and felt that they had no romantic feelings for each other. Only then did Nelson realize he was being rude and said hurriedly, "I-I'm just afraid that you're trusting the wrong person. Does your family know about this? This is a serious matter, you know." As soon as he said that, Janice's expression turned cold at once. She then said icily, "Don't talk about that. From the moment I left home five years ago, I have no connection with the Tillmans anymore." When he realized that he had touched her bottom line, he quickly ended this topic. On their way back, he kept probing Daniel's information from her, and she didn't guard against him as well. Almost immediately, he knew that her relationship with Daniel was just a contract marriage. Only then did he heave a sigh of relief. "Let's go eat." "Sure, I want to thank you as well." Janice forced a smile, but she still looked like she had something bothering her. At this moment, her instincts told her that Daniel definitely had something to do with her signing the contract. Meanwhile, Daniel was walking down the street. He had already returned here for a few days, but this was the first time he had walked alone on Goldshore's street. When he looked at all the buildings around the street, which were totally different from his image of the place, only then did he realize that ten years had passed and everything had changed. He then walked to Lowell Hotel and could still remember that this was the place where he got framed and arrested a decade ago. At that time, Ingrid, who was pursuing him all the while, suddenly told him that she had been raped. He rushed here in a hurry but fainted after being attacked from the back. When he woke up, he found himself lying in bed with Ingrid, stripped naked. Then, he went into prison without any evidence. If he wanted to clear his name now, the only way was to do it through Ingrid. As he was walking down the crowded street and waiting for the green light, he felt a familiar presence coming from his back all of a sudden.Just then, a beautiful lady in a denim jacket linked arms with him and said softly, "Hey there, handsome. Are you free tonight?" Hearing that, Daniel turned his head to look at her. This beautiful lady was in black tights which showed her long legs. Inside her jacket was a black spaghetti strap top, displaying her exquisite collarbones. She had pronounced facial features as well, which gave off an extraordinary charm. Daniel asked with a frown, "Why are you here?" As he said that, he pulled his arm away from her. The beautiful lady then smiled at him charmingly and said softly, "Do you want to join me for lunch, handsome?" She even winked at him cheekily when she said that. "Answer my question." His eyes narrowed, and his tone became cold. "Why are you so ruthless? You haven't seen me in such a long time. Don't you miss me?" She pretended to be upset and pouted her lips. However, he wasn't moved at all and just looked at her without a word. "Hey! Can't you give me some sort of reaction?" she said unhappily. However, when she saw the chill flashing in Daniel's dark eyes, she finally took her hands off him reluctantly. "Fine, I won't play with you anymore." After saying that, she took a step back and bowed a little. "Isa Rose, the adjudicator, is here to meet you, General Hardon."
