Mr. Mysterious's Spontaneous Bride
All four members of the family were beautiful and handsome, making the photoshoot a breeze. So, the family photo was soon completed. “Ivy, you and your mother go downstairs and have fun. Your brother and I will go and greet the guests. We'll introduce you later when the banquet begins.” “Alright, Grandpa,” Ivy agreed and went downstairs with her mother. Andy stopped Dom and instructed him, “Bob Alter, that old man just tried to contact me. He said he has important news to share. I suspect it's about the child in Lilith's belly. You know who the child's biological father is, right?” Dom pursed his lips. “I know. Jasson Brown, that lapdog, struts around in England but willingly acts as a lackey for DT Investment in City A. He's even messing around with other women. Tonight, he got humiliated, and he deserved it.' Andy disregarded Jasson; he had figured out the gist from Dom's words. “From what you're saying, you don't like DT Investment?” “Do you like it, Grandpa?” Dom countered. “If it weren't for Cato Alter's interference, the Alter Group would have been ours by now. If it weren't for him and Jasson causing trouble, our strategic plan in City A would have begun.” Andy was taken aback, realizing that this kid was still holding a grudge over the DT Investment incident from the shareholder meeting. What should he do? Cato Alter was his brother-in-law! They hadn't even met, and they were already enemies. If he found out that Cato Alter not only thwarted H Capital's plans to enter City A but also married his sister, it would be quite a spectacle to witness. “Well... regardless of how tonight unfolds, Lilith is innocent. You need to tell her that,” Andy instructed Dom. “I've already talked to her,” Dom had contacted Lilith as soon as he got wind of the situation. “She doesn't care. She said the news of her pregnancy was already known worldwide, and tonight's humiliation will only affect others. It won't hurt her, and she told us to come as we please.” It seemed like she was blatantly using tonight's spectacle to reveal Jasson's involvement. When the world found out that the child was his, the Brown family, a highly reputable one, would have to address the issue. “Haha, this young lady,'”Andy thought Lilith's eccentricity was quite charming. She seemed naive, but she had a plan. “Well, make sure to handle it well and don't let her down,” Andy advised Dom. “Remember, the goal tonight is to make it seem like everything unexpected and was orchestrated by the Alter family. Our Livingston family is also a victim.' Dom lowered his head and nodded. “Grandpa, you can trust me. I understand.” With that, he turned to attend to his duties. Andy watched his back with mixed emotions. “Dom and Shawn, both talented. It's really hard to choose which one to let go as a son-in-law. Why is the world limited to one husband and one wife? It would be perfect if Ivy could bring both of these men into his family.” "Oh, Grandpa, you shouldn't talk like that," Uncle Jim, who was standing by, reminded with a smile. "If Miss Ivy hears that you're currently looking for her next husband, she'll be in a hurry." Andy also realized he was being too childish and smiled awkwardly. "It's just... I can't bear to let go of two young talents!" "Well, isn't it just right, now?" Uncle Jim shook his head in resignation. "Mr. Tate is your son-in-law, and Mr. Dom is your grandson. You have both, so you're not missing out!" "That's true!" Andy finally relaxed. "That DT Investment guy still has to call Dom 'brother.' Just thinking about it feels great. Let's go, let's have some fun." He walked out of the room and coincidentally saw Dom finishing his work and coming to meet him. Andy couldn't help but admire him more and sighed, "Dom is great in every way, except for his passion for work. I wonder which girl will be lucky in the future." "Grandpa, what are you talking about?" Dom had seen his grandfather and Uncle Jim muttering quietly from a distance, and he didn't know what they were scheming. "Don't mind me." But it didn't matter; Grandpa had always loved gossiping with Uncle Jim. In the past, he was the center of gossip between master and servant, but now that Ivy had come. It seemed he wouldn't have a chance anymore. Thinking of this, Dom quickly walked up to Andy, taking his hand, and they strolled into the backyard together. At this moment in the garden, Ivy had just seated herself with her mother and Lilith when Tanya, whom they hadn't seen for a long time, arrived, holding onto Kevin's arm. "Ivy, long time no see," Tanya greeted with a smile, leaning against Kevin. Ivy frowned almost imperceptibly and didn't intend to speak. Seeing that Ivy was ignoring her, Tanya turned to Emma and said, "Auntie, don't you find it awkward being here?"Just as Ivy was about to speak, Lilith, who had a short temper, immediately flared up, "What did you say, you idiot?" "You!" Tanya widened her eyes, being called an idiot for the first time. "Did you just call me an idiot?" "I called you an idiot, what about it, Dr. Potts? Are you in a hurry to claim someone?" Lilith retorted. Low and behold, Lilith turned her frustration towards Tanya. "Wait, just don't cry," Tanya said with a sneer. "Cry?" Lilith was equally unfazed. "Don't you cry either!" "Oh, isn't this Dr. Jones?" Jasson's obnoxious voice suddenly rang out, and everyone turned to see him striding into the backyard. Dressed in a burgundy suit with a flashy smile, he seemed utterly ostentatious. He quickly approached, affectionately taking Ivy's arm while keeping his eyes on Tanya and Kevin. "Has someone insulted you and Auntie here? I'm an international lawyer; I can help you sue them!" Ivy had a flat expression on her face. Lilith, however, couldn't believe that she had to face this crazy man who happened to be her child's father. Seeing Jasson here, Tanya immediately put on an innocent look and apologized, "Mr. Brown, you've just arrived, and perhaps you don't know what happened. I was merely greeting Dr. Jones, but it seems that my good intentions were misunderstood by Lilith. It's my fault, and I apologize, Dr. Jones." Her speech was impeccable and gracious, making her seem wronged in the eyes of others. But Jasson, with his extensive experience in the world of women, saw through her act. He knew that she was pretending but decided not to expose her. Since she apologized, he would let her off the hook. "All right, Dr. Potts, making a mistake isn't a big deal; the real issue is whether you learn from it. Now that you've recognized your mistake, I'll accept your apology on behalf of my client. But let's not make it a habit, okay?" he said. "You!" Tanya was so infuriated that she almost lost her temper, glaring at Jasson. "Outsmarted?" Jasson mocked."Don't be too confident. Wait and see, I'll enjoy your embarrassment tonight!" With that, Tanya let go of Kevin and walked away with Kevin. "Embarrassment?" Jasson rubbed his nose and asked Lilith, "What embarrassment?" Lilith, without a word, took Emma's arm and left. "Dr. Jones, did Tanya say that I'll be embarrassed?" Since Lilith had left, Jasson had no choice but to turn his attention to Ivy. "Aren't you the star of the night?" Ivy smirked and quickly changed the subject. "Mr. Brown, how's Mr. Tate in City G?" "He's fine," Jasson sighed as he remembered Mr. Tate's instructions. "He's been locked in a meeting room for days, helping Mr. Alter with various matters. I've been busy too; as a lawyer, I have to attend an event and then rush back." "Oh..." With that, Ivy turned and left. Feeling that something was amiss with Tanya’s sentence earlier, Jasson dialed Shawn's number. "Hey, Shawn, I've applied to leave. I have a feeling something bad will happen tonight." The man on the other end of the phone, who was looking at the message just received from Sanders, didn't say a word. Sanders had said that tonight, Tanya would reveal that Lilith had cuckolded Dom, and the child's father was Jasson. "You have to stay until the end of the banquet, or I won't let you off," he ordered, and then he hung up the phone without giving Jasson a chance to reply. Sanders, the executive assistant, suppressed a laugh and said, "Mr. Tate, tomorrow, Mr. Brown will definitelyhold you accountable." "Is that so?" Shawn couldn't help but feel that life was unfair. Jasson didn't want the child, but it had been delivered to him. He wanted the child, but he couldn't even see his wife's face. The more he thought about it, the more unfair it seemed. "Tell Sanders to stay at the Livingston residence. If Jasson tries to escape, bring him back again!" "Yes, Mr. Tate." ***
