Pampered By Billionaires After Betrayal

Chapter 341 Living Together

"Are you shy?" Satan asked, holding her close. "Yes," Emily admitted. Satan tightened his grip around her waist, pulling her into his embrace. "I’m a little shy too." Emily glared at him. "Then why did you do that?" "I couldn’t help myself." Emily’s face turned even redder. His voice dropped to a low murmur. "I couldn’t help wanting to tell the whole world that you’re mine." Emily playfully smacked him. "We both have a lot on our shoulders. It’s better to keep a low profile." "I know that," Satan replied, unable to suppress a smile. "But I just couldn’t help myself, so I did it." Emily teased, "We got kicked out because of you." "Are you blaming me?" "Of course! You attract too much attention from the girls. Even with a mask on, you can’t stop them from admiring you." Satan chuckled. "Are you jealous?" "No." "Really?" "Really." "Alright, alright, you’re not jealous," Satan said, "So, where should we go now?" Emily wasn’t sure where they should go. Should they return to the company? But the office was empty now, and there was no work to be done. Should they go back to the Hilton hotel? But there wasn’t much to do there either. "Emily, look—"Emily followed his gaze and saw Olivia standing in the middle of the hall with her back to them, wearing a T-shirt and shorts. Her hair was disheveled. Allen Parker was standing beside her, bending down as if trying to negotiate with her. Olivia’s expression was unhappy, and she seemed upset. But Allen wasn’t bothered; he was gently comforting her. As they got closer, they overheard their conversation. "...I don’t want that! I want the one I originally had! I just like that one!" "I’ll get you another one with a diamond, ten times bigger than the original." "No, I just want my original one!" "Alright, I’ll have someone find it for you..." Allen Parker turned to his assistant and ordered, "Have them search the entire building, leave no corner unchecked, and find Olivia’s item." The assistant nodded quickly and rushed off. Olivia, still anxious, spotted Emily nearby. Her eyes lit up, and she ran over. "Emily!" Emily caught her with a smile. "What’s wrong? I just got here and saw you were upset." "I lost my earring!" Olivia pouted like a little puffed-up pufferfish. "Remember the accessories we bought together in middle school? I got a pair of earrings, and you bought a hair pin, both with purple butterfly designs." Emily nodded. "I remember. But... those earrings weren’t worth much, and they weren’t made of any precious materials—they were just plastic." "But they hold memories of our youth!" Olivia muttered. "I’ve worn them for over ten years; I’ve grown attached to them! I can’t just let them go!" Emily glanced at Allen Parker. Allen quickly signaled to her with his eyes, silently pleading for her help in soothing Olivia. Emily understood. "Olivia, do you remember the last place you wore them?" Olivia pointed to the tiles beneath her feet. "Right here! I was here yesterday, and when I went back last night, the earring was gone. It must’ve been lost here—I’m sure of it!"Emily nodded. "Alright, let’s have the staff search for it. The earring is small, so it might be hard to find. If they can’t locate it, how about we go to the store together and buy a new pair? I need a new hair pin anyway; we can get matching designs again. How does that sound?" Olivia took a deep breath. She knew deep down that the earring was probably lost for good. She nodded. "Okay, let’s do that." "Good, it’s a promise." With Emily’s assurance, Olivia finally relaxed. Allen Parker also breathed a sigh of relief. Noticing that Olivia had more to say to Emily, Satan walked over to Allen Parker and patted him on the shoulder. "Come, I need to talk to you." As the two men walked away, Emily led Olivia to a sofa in the hall and sat down. An assistant brought over two hot drinks. "This is hot milk, a gift from the boss." Emily smiled and nodded. "Thank you." "You’re welcome." Olivia picked up her cup and gulped down the milk. "I came over first thing in the morning. I’m so hungry." Emily asked, "Olivia, are you living with Allen Parker now?" Olivia blushed slightly, looking a bit shy. "Yeah, Emily, I’ve been meaning to talk to you about this. I... I don’t know how to handle it." Emily chuckled. "You’re a brave and confident girl. Are you afraid of living with him?" Olivia glared at her. "But he’s Allen Parker! Do you think there’s something wrong with him? He actually likes me? And he’s serious! Oh my God, I thought a big boss like him, who’s seen so many beautiful women, would only be interested in someone like me for a little while. I figured he’d lose interest eventually. But you know what? Last night, he actually told me he wants to meet my parents—he wants to marry me! I have no idea what to do." "Olivia, you’re twenty-seven now. You’re an adult and should be able to make your own decisions," Emily said, patting her hand. "And isn’t it a good thing that Allen is serious about you? Do you really want him to be irresponsible?" Olivia frowned. "It’s just that... I feel like I’m not good enough for him, you know? He’s bound to be stolen away by some other beautiful woman eventually. So, I figure it’s better if I just stay away from him from the start." "But you’re already living together, aren’t you?" Olivia shrugged nonchalantly. "Think of it like hiring a male escort. He’s good-looking, the service is decent, and I can pay him afterward." Emily laughed. "But he’s Allen Parker—he doesn’t need your money." "Emily, I really don’t know what to do. I lost my temper over the earring just to provoke him. I didn’t wash my face or brush my teeth this morning; I rushed here hoping to annoy him so much that he’d want to break up with me, and this whole thing would just be over. I’m not a beauty, and I’ve got a bad temper. I wanted him to reconsider our relationship. But instead, he’s been nothing but gentle with me."
