Pampered By Billionaires After Betrayal

Chapter 334 The Office Atmosphere

They came to see her? Emily felt a bit shy. She wasn't an animal at a zoo... The round-faced employee enthusiastically introduced himself, "Hello Madam, I’m Daniel, a designer currently heading the architecture department." Emily was a bit surprised. "Excuse me for asking, but how old are you?" "Well, I'm actually a few years older than the boss, but I look young, so it’s hard to tell, hahaha..." Another employee immediately chimed in, "You're five years older than the boss. He’s about to have a child, and you're still single..." Daniel quickly grabbed his colleague's neck and mock-threateningly said, "Ken, remember who your superior is and watch your mouth!" Ken laughed, "I'm sorry, Daniel. You’re like a brother to me." "Don’t get too close. Who's your brother? I only have one twin brother, and though he’s not as handsome as I am, he's good-looking." Ken pleaded, "I respect you like a brother." Daniel finally let go of his neck. Ken, looking aggrieved, complained to Emily, "Madam, you see? My supervisor is violent towards me!" Daniel laughed and lifted a foot, pretending to kick Ken's butt. Ken immediately ran away, shouting, "You can't catch me..." Everyone laughed heartily. Emily joined in the laughter. Emily knew that Mr. Satan’s company was full of young people and that the atmosphere would be lively, but she didn’t expect it to be this cheerful, almost like a school. However, Emily was more intrigued by Daniel’s twin brother. "Daniel, does your brother also work here?" "Oh, no," Daniel adjusted his glasses. "I prefer learning design through real projects, but my brother is more into academic research. He’s studying for his PhD under a very renowned mentor." Emily nodded. "You both are very accomplished." "Hahaha, I don’t have the patience for a PhD. I was lucky to meet the boss." "Hmm? But you said you’ve barely seen him." "Whenever I complete a design, the boss reviews it and leaves notes. That's how I've learned under his guidance," Daniel waved his hand dismissively. "My brother and I are both fortunate. His mentor is Mr. Morgan. He’s quite famous in the design field..." Emily's brows furrowed. "Mr. Morgan?" "Yes, Logan Morgan!" Daniel continued. "He won the top award in architecture right after graduation. His designs are genius! But after that, Mr. Morgan's work became very average. Despite that, I still admire him for that one brilliant work." That award-winning design right after graduation was Emily’s mother’s last work. Except for that one drawing, Logan Morgan's designs were indeed mediocre. Emily couldn't help but scoff. He stole someone else's work and claimed it as his own? She would expose that hypocrite for who he truly was, sooner or later. And Emily remembered, Logan always had a student with him, whom he called Bobby. Could Bobby be Daniel’s twin brother? But they didn't look alike at all. Daniel had a round face, good skin, and wore black-framed glasses, looking young and cheerful. Bobby, on the other hand, had a shrewd and cunning look, likely from years of following Logan Morgan. "By the way, Madam, this afternoon we’re interviewing some students for part-time positions. Would you join us?" Emily shook her head quickly. "I don’t understand design..." "The students don’t either. It’s no big deal. The part-timers we hire will do basic tasks and won’t be involved in anything too technical, and of course, they won’t have access to our business secrets!" Despite her initial reluctance, Emily was persuaded by Daniel to join the interview on the company’s sixteenth floor. Joining her for the interviews were Daniel and Ken.Daniel whispered to Emily, "Ken might seem unreliable, but he’s very talented. He's in his third year of college and has already secured several major projects for the company. The boss even offered him a position! At first, I was a bit jealous, but Ken’s designs are truly impressive!" Emily nodded. "I see." "I heard from Dylan that you’re teaching yourself design? If you don’t mind, you could learn from Ken. He’s a great teacher." Emily smiled and nodded. Daniel was pleased. "I didn't expect you to be so kind and approachable. I thought beautiful women were all aloof." Ken interjected, "Daniel, remember to keep a distance from Madam, or the boss might throw you off the rooftop. I won’t be responsible for collecting your remains." "Shut up, Ken. I plan to live to five hundred. Enough talk. Are the interview questions ready?" Ken shrugged. "We don’t need questions to hire part-timers. We just need humble and dedicated students. Don’t you agree, Madam?" Emily smiled without commenting. "No worries. With Madam here, we’ll hire whoever she likes." Soon, the assistant brought in the students applying for the part-time positions. There were fourteen applicants, but the company only needed three. The assistant handed several resumes to Daniel. "Here are their resumes." Daniel glanced at them briefly and then handed them to Emily. "Madam, take a look. Do you see anyone you like?" Emily scanned the resumes, puzzled. "Why are there high school students? Aren’t part-timers usually college students?"
