Pampered By Billionaires After Betrayal

Chapter 307 The Reunion

Mandy stormed her way back home. Bryden had just woken up and was eating breakfast. Mandy glanced at him and asked, “Where’s your father?” “Huh?” Bryden frowned deeply. He had gone to bed early the night before, and when he woke up this morning, he saw the news about Emily, which made him too upset to eat breakfast. He hadn't paid much attention to Mandy's question. “I’m talking to you!” Mandy snatched the phone from his hand and tossed it aside, noticing that he was also reading the news. She sneered, “You’ve seen it too? This woman is utterly shameless! Do you still want someone like her as your sister-in-law?” When Bryden first saw the pictures, he was shocked and in disbelief. However, he gradually calmed down. The woman in the photos bore some resemblance to Emily in profile, but all the pictures were blurry and unclear, clearly intended to mislead everyone. He shook his head firmly, “Mom, I don’t think that woman is Emily.” Mandy’s eyes widened in anger, “The evidence is right in front of you, and you’re still defending her?” Bryden didn’t want to argue with his mother, so he explained, “Mom, you’re biased against Emily, so these photos easily mislead you. Did you meet Grace this morning? Was she the one who showed you these pictures?” “Shut up!” Mandy was already disappointed in him. “It doesn’t matter who I met; these disgusting things were done by Emily! I’m going to confront your father and grandmother right now. Let’s see what they have to say!” Bryden quickly grabbed her arm, “Mom, please don’t act impulsively. Grandma has high blood pressure; I’m worried she can’t handle this…” “What are you two arguing about?” Alex came downstairs, wearing reading glasses and holding a newspaper. He didn’t look happy. “It’s early in the morning, and you’re making a racket. I can’t even read my paper in peace.” Seeing him, Mandy’s anger flared up even more. “Have you read the morning news?” “I was trying to, but you guys made such a fuss that I couldn’t,” Alex took off his glasses and put them aside, looking closely at Mandy. “What’s the matter? Who made you so angry this early? Bryden, was it you?”Bryden raised his hands in surrender, “I wouldn’t dare…” “Then what’s going on?” Mandy took a deep breath, “I’m going to fetch Mom. There’s something I need to discuss with you both.” “Hold on—” Alex stopped her, “What’s so serious that you need to bring Mom into it? Vincent and Emily’s wedding is about to happen. If you don’t want to help, I won’t force you, but don’t stir up trouble. Mom is thrilled about Vincent’s wedding. Can’t you let her be happy for a few more days?” Mandy snorted, standing up straight, “What I have to say is about the wedding. If you and Mom still insist on having it after hearing me out, then I’ll have nothing more to say!” Alex was getting impatient, “What now? Emily and Nathan were never married; we cleared that up last time. What more do you want?” “This time, it’s not about Nathan. It’s—” Bella hurriedly walked in through the front door, respectfully greeting, “Mr. Norman.” Alex responded, “Bella, is Mom feeling unwell?” “Don’t worry. Ever since Meggie started taking the herbal medicine, she’s been doing much better. Meggie’s excited about the upcoming wedding and wants everyone to join her for a meal.” Alex nodded, “Alright, let’s go. Vincent was raised by Mom, and now he’s getting married. Soon, she’ll have another great-grandchild. Mom must be very happy.” Bella smiled, nervously glancing at Mandy, “Will you join us?” Mandy had been going out frequently lately and rarely joined family meals. Bella thought Mandy might not be home, but since she was, of course, she had to invite her too. But… Bella hesitated, worried Mandy might clash with Meggie again. “Of course, I’ll go,” Mandy said. “Let’s go now.” “Mom…” Bryden was concerned. Mandy glared at him, “Why are you stopping me? Grandma invited us to eat. Are you saying I shouldn’t go?”“Where’s Janet?” “She’s still asleep.” Mandy said, “Go wake your sister and bring her to your grandmother’s place.” They soon arrived at Meggie’s room. Mr. Satan and Emily had already arrived. They were talking to Meggie, who was laughing heartily about something. Bella entered first and softly announced, “Everyone’s here.” “Great, now that everyone’s here, ask the chef to bring in the food.” “Yes.” Meggie held Emily’s hand, smiling, “When I was young, America wasn’t so prosperous. Many mothers couldn’t nurse their babies, so they had to raise them on goat milk. It’s very nutritious. You should drink more.” Emily nodded. Alex and Mandy walked in. Mr. Satan stood up and greeted, “Dad, Mandy, you’re here.” Emily also stood up, “Alex, Mandy, good morning.” “Good, good,” Alex smiled and nodded. “You’re pregnant, so sit down. We’re all family.” Emily was about to sit down when Mandy coldly sneered, “Emily, how do you still have the face to come to our house for a meal?”
