Pampered By Billionaires After Betrayal

Chapter 263 Emily's Back

Olivia had a whole series of activities planned for Emily. As soon as Emily got off the plane, Olivia picked her up. "I'm throwing you a bachelorette party." "A bachelorette party?" "Yes, to celebrate your last moments of freedom before marriage. Once you're married, you'll be busy taking care of your husband and child, constantly running around the kitchen and bathroom." Emily chuckled awkwardly. "Olivia, you don't need to be so afraid of marriage." "That's impossible. Emily, I'm telling you, there's no way I would ever get married. If I have to take care of a man and be his maid, it better be God himself." Emily teased her, "Not even your idol, Lucas?" Olivia raised an eyebrow, keeping her eyes on the road. "An idol is just an idol. After meeting him, I'm even more certain. I like the Lucas in my head, not the real him. Seeing him still makes my heart race, but marry him? No way, not happening." Emily laughed. "What if you meet your true love?" "True love? Emily, men in this world are heartless. Mr. Satan is a rare gem. I don't have your luck to find another rare gem." "How do you know you won't?" "I just know," Olivia said, her expression turning disdainful. "Emily, as long as Allen Parker is around, dating is a pipe dream for me." Emily blinked. "What did he do this time?" "Oh my God! He's worse than my dad. He treats me like a child. I'm almost twenty-seven, a grown woman, and he acts like he's my father." Olivia, being a Sagittarius, loved freedom and disliked being controlled. She also enjoyed challenging authority. Emily turned to look out the window. She thought she should find an opportunity to talk to Allen Parker. Olivia was like a wild horse, needing the open plains to run free, not a golden cage. "Huh?" Olivia suddenly focused on something in the distance. "Is that Sophia?"Emily followed her gaze. On the sidewalk, not far away, a man and a woman were entangled. To be precise, the woman was clinging to the man. They both recognized the couple. Olivia scoffed. "She really has no shame. Her reputation is ruined, yet she still dares to cause trouble?" Emily saw that Sophia seemed to be kneeling, clinging to Logan's leg, crying and shouting. Logan looked furious, barely holding back from kicking her away. "Emily, you've been in Europe these past few days, so you wouldn't know. Everyone is saying Sophia and Logan are having an affair." Emily gasped. "What?!" Olivia smirked. "Why are you so surprised? Sophia and her mother are professional mistresses. But even mistresses' families get destroyed by new mistresses. It's karma. I wonder what Grace thinks now." Emily was still in shock. "Is it true?" "Does it matter if it's true? Sophia, Grace, and Logan are all scum. Birds of a feather." The car soon passed the scene. Logan and Sophia's figures faded into the distance. Emily slowly turned her gaze back. "Olivia, what exactly happened?" Olivia chuckled. "Logan turned against them. Grace and Sophia were kicked out. They're homeless. Allen Parker told me they don't have a penny. Their credit cards are frozen! It's poetic justice. The bad guys finally got what they deserve." Just then, Olivia's phone rang. She glanced at the caller ID and answered. "This is not my working hours. I took the day off. No matter what you say, I'm not coming back. I'm taking Emily to a bachelorette party!" Suddenly, Olivia paused. "You're not Allen Parker?" She checked the caller ID again. "This is his number. Who are you? ... Jackson? Why are you using Allen Parker's phone?" On the other end, Jackson explained, "My phone died. I borrowed my brother's. Emily's phone was off, so my brother said she should be with you. I had no choice but to call you!" Olivia looked at Emily. "Did you forget to turn on your phone after the flight?"Emily quickly pulled out her phone from her bag. "Oh, I did forget. I'll turn it on now." Olivia cleared her throat and continued on the phone. "Jackson, Emily has her phone on now. Do you want to call her directly, or should I pass the phone to her?" Jackson replied, "No need. I'll send you a location. Bring her here." Olivia became cautious. "Where are we going? I need to ask Emily if she wants to go." Jackson said, "Tell her I found out the truth about her mother's death. She'll definitely want to come!" Jackson's voice was loud enough to be heard through the phone. Emily's mind went blank for a moment. Olivia realized the gravity of the situation. She pulled over and checked the location Jackson sent. "This place is so remote..." She asked, "Emily, do you want to go?" Emily bit her lip. "...Let's go." Jackson might be unserious, but he wasn't a bad person. He wouldn't joke about something like this. Olivia thought the same. She started the car and followed the navigation. "Emily, do you want to tell Mr. Satan first?" Emily nodded. She dialed Mr. Satan's number. But there was no answer. She frowned and tried again. Still no answer. Emily felt a pang of anxiety. She had never failed to reach Mr. Satan before.
