Pampered By Billionaires After Betrayal
Mr. Satan seemed to be in a particularly good mood. Emily guessed that the matter he mentioned was almost resolved, which made him more relaxed. Moreover, they had limited time together recently, and whenever possible, he would find a way to talk to her alone. He was considerate, though sometimes, in moments of passion, he found it hard to control himself. He always maintained enough restraint, never touching her belly. But his kisses were so intense that they left her breathless sometimes. Today was no different. After leaving the Norman family, Mr. Satan kissed her passionately in the car before reluctantly letting her go back to the Morgan family. When Emily walked in, her lips were red and swollen. In the living room, Herry was alone, watching TV with a bowl of popcorn. Emily glanced at the screen; it was a popular variety show where celebrities were playing games. Herry laughed out loud, scattering popcorn all over the floor. Emily frowned slightly. “I’ll clean it up myself later,” Herry said coolly, his eyes still on the TV. “Don’t lecture me.” “Where are your parents?” Emily asked. “They’re out, and won’t be back tonight,” Herry sneered. “They went to the airport to pick someone up. No idea who’s important enough for my dad to pick him up personally.” Logan had a wide social circle in Europe, so it might just be a friend. Emily didn’t pay much attention and walked over the scattered popcorn, heading upstairs. She paused and asked, “Have you had dinner?” Herry looked pitiful. “If there was dinner, would I be eating popcorn?” Emily teased him, “Even if you had dinner, you’d still eat popcorn.” “That’s a snack. If I’m full, it’s a snack. If I’m not, it’s my main meal. Please make me something to eat. I’m hungry.” Emily glared at him. “Your mom didn’t cook before leaving? Where’s your sister?”“She went with them. Emily, please cook something for me. I’m still growing, I can’t starve. I bought you food with my pocket money when my dad locked you in the attic.” That was true. Herry was kind-hearted, not a bad kid. Emily went to the kitchen, put on an apron, and checked the fridge. “How about I make you some noodles?” “I want pizza!” “I’m making noodles. You’ll have to settle for that today.” Herry felt wronged and upset. “Emily, you’re so biased. You cook delicious food for your masked boyfriend every day but only noodles for me…” Emily was startled by his complaint. “Who told you that?” “My sister,” Herry said. “This afternoon, they were talking in the room. I heard them say you were having an affair, living with a man, cooking and washing for him, staying at the Hilton. Or something like that.” Emily put down the tomato she was holding and walked over. “How do they know about this?” “I don’t know.” Herry frowned, looking doubtful. “Are you really having an affair?” Emily bit her lip, unsure how to answer. “But I don’t believe it,” Herry said confidently. “I know you pretty well. You’re more old-fashioned than my dad. You wouldn’t have an affair.” Emily cooked dinner absentmindedly. Grace and Sophia knew she and Nathan hadn’t divorced, and now they had told Logan. She and Nathan had already signed the divorce papers. If Nathan hadn’t been so persistent, they would’ve been legally divorced long ago. But Nathan suddenly changed his mind, causing this delay. After cooking the noodles for Herry, Emily quickly went back to her room, locked the door, and called Nathan. The phone rang for a long time before someone answered.“Hello? Nathan, let’s get a divorce tomorrow. I’ll wait for you at the city hall.” There was silence on the other end. Emily heard some background noise, like Nathan was in a bar, with loud music and heavy beats. “Nathan? Did you hear me?” “...Sorry, are you Mr. Reed’s wife?” A strange male voice came through the phone. Emily checked the number to confirm it was Nathan’s. “Who are you?” “I’m the bartender at Moonlight Bar. Mr. Reed is drunk here. I’m looking for someone to take him home. Mrs. Reed, please come and get him. He’s been drinking here every night for the past month, no one can stop him. If this continues, his health will deteriorate…” Emily hung up the phone. She had fallen for this once before, and she wasn’t going to fall for it again. Even if Nathan was drunk, it wasn’t her responsibility to fetch him. She suspected this was a trap set by Grace and Sophia. Thinking of this, Emily found a ride-hailing company online and made a call. “Hello, I need a ride from Moonlight Club to Kings Community… Yes, he’s at the bar now. His name is Nathan Reed. His family will pay you.” After making the call, Emily sighed in relief. She took a long bath, then sat by the bed, drying her hair while reading a book on design. Beep beep— A text message arrived. [Grace has people watching at Moonlight Club. If you go, they’ll take photos and send them to the Norman family. – Satan] Just as expected. She replied: [I didn’t go. I called a ride for Nathan.] [Good, you’ve turned from a little kitten into a little fox.] His words made Emily blush. These were lessons taught by Grace and Sophia. But... She wondered if Nathan would go to the city hall for the divorce tomorrow. [Nathan will divorce you tomorrow, don’t worry.]
