Pampered By Billionaires After Betrayal

Chapter 121 His Design Skills

The day after receiving the notification, Emily saw the news. "Reed Group President is Going to Get Married! The Background of the New Bride is Powerful!" "Nathan Reed is Getting Married! What's the Background of the New Bride?" The media always liked to cover some tabloid news, whether it was celebrity scandals or the affairs of millionaires. Nathan fell into the latter category. As Emily browsed the news on her phone, she was in the kitchen cooking chicken soup, preparing to bring it to William. Olivia, following Satan's orders to accompany Emily, was helping her simmer the soup in the kitchen. "Nathan is quite funny. It's just a wedding, but he seems to want everyone to know he's getting married. I think he wants you to see this news." Emily took a bite of an apple. "Who knows, but I doubt it's related to me." "True," Olivia rested her chin on her hand, watching the steam rise from the pot, "He's probably doing it for his father-in-law's sake. After all, Logan Morgan is a celebrity. His daughter's wedding has to be made into a show." Thinking about this, Emily set down her phone and asked, "Olivia, your dad works in real estate too. What does he think of Logan Morgan?" James Taylor owned a real estate company. Though his company wasn't as big as Reed Group, he had a lot of experience. Emily wanted to know James Taylor's opinion of Logan Morgan. Olivia thought for a moment. "Emily, do you want to hear the truth or a lie?" Emily smiled, "Of course, the truth. I won't get mad, will I?" "Logan Morgan is your biological father. If I say something negative about him... wouldn't you be upset?" Emily's smile quickly faded. "I have no connection to him; his daughter is only Sophia." Olivia leaned over, embracing her. "Okay, don't be sad. How about I take you to a concert tonight?" "I'm not sad.""Alright," Olivia hugged her, gently stroking her hair, "I've known you for so many years; I can tell what's on your mind. I knoe how much you've longed to meet your father all these years. But now... oh well, let's not talk about that. Lucas is having a concert tonight at the arena, and I'm working there. I'll take you to see it. I can get you front-row seats!" Emily shook her head, politely declining, "I'm not familiar with Lucas." "I'm not saying you have to like Lucas; I'm suggesting it as a way to change your mood." Emily suddenly asked, "Are you Lucas's agent now?" "Intern agent. Allen Parker is a big villain! The probation period for new employees is three months, but he's making me intern for a year!!! If it weren't for Lucas, I would have quit long ago!" Emily pursed her lips, "But isn't Lucas having a concert tonight? Don't you need to work?" Olivia shrugged, "Let me tell you, I used to really like Lucas. I dreamed of marrying him. But after working with him for a while, I realized he's just a normal person! He burps and farts. But to be honest, Lucas is incredibly handsome. He only studied singing and dancing for three years, but now he's better than most other stars." Talking about Lucas got Olivia excited. "Emily, come with me to his concert. You've never been to one, have you? I'll take you through the staff entrance; you won't need to buy a ticket." "But... I still need to make dinner for Mr. Satan." "He's an adult; he can handle it himself. We have a deal; tonight you're coming to the concert." Emily thought for a moment; Satan mentioned earlier in the morning that he might come back late and not to wait for him. "Okay." "Haha!" Olivia brightened up, "Don't worry; I'll take good care of you." Emily helplessly said, "You still haven't told me how your dad evaluates Logan Morgan?" Olivia responded directly, "My dad mentioned it to me once. He said Logan Morgan's abilities aren't really top-notch. Moreover, his designs are a bit outdated, but he's very good at marketing himself, so many people think he's impressive." Emily nodded, "So that means Logan Morgan's design skills are not on par with famous designers?" "It's not just a matter of being on par; my dad says his designs are actually quite average," Olivia pouted, unconvinced. "Nowadays, many companies want to hire Logan Morgan; they just need his fame, not his design skills." Olivia's blunt assessment gave Emily a better understanding. "Olivia, does your dad recommend any other capable designers?" "Yes, there's a designer in our company. He's young, with innovative design ideas, but he lacks the fame compared to Logan Morgan, so he hasn't produced many works. My dad wants to nurture him; he has a lot of potential." Olivia suddenly smacked her forehead, "Emily, aren't you planning to apply to university? Why don't you try design? With your talent and dedication, you could become a famous designer." To be honest, Emily was intrigued. At the very least, she wanted to see if she could surpass Logan Morgan.
