Everything Stolen, I Left to Become CEO
Darcy wiped her mouth with a napkin. Feeling much better now, she sighed and told Cindy everything—how John had been harassing her mother, and her connection with Zora. "Holy crap! I can't believe you and Zora are technically sisters!" Cindy felt like the world had gone mad. At the end of the day, it all traced back to her deadbeat dad. Of all the families to marry into, he just had to marry into the Moss family. Now that bitch Zora must be over the moon. Cindy gritted her teeth. "Zora definitely sent your sperm donor to harass you on purpose. She's hated you for ages, using him to get under your skin." "I think so too. But there's no easy fix right now," Darcy said, sounding resigned. "As long as he leaves my mother alone, I can tolerate the rest.""Tolerate my ass!" Cindy exploded. "We're not ninja turtles! We don't practice endurance! Why put up with it?" Her beautiful eyes lit up with an idea. She lightly slapped the table. "Your sperm donor is just Zora's puppet. Dealing with him isn't enough. We have to deal with her." A wicked smile spread across her lips. "She's getting engaged to Zane, right? Let's send the Vance family a big 'gift' before the engagement!" Darcy was taken aback. "What gift?" "Expose Zora's fake PhD! Let her be publicly shamed! The Vance family would never accept a woman with fraudulent credentials." Darcy hesitated. "We'd need solid proof. Her degrees are from overseas. Gathering evidence would be tough." "Leave it to me!" Cindy thumped her chest confidently. That evening, Jethro went to celebrate with Darcy, gift in hand. But when he received the address from his sister, his brow furrowed deeply. Paradise Club... The name alone sounded sketchy. He drove over. Looking up at the blaring neon sign, bright enough to burn retinas, Jethro's lips twitched. He suddenly remembered. This was a new nightclub. But unlike traditional ones, its target clientele was wealthy young women. Consequently, it featured the top-tier gigolos. Most patrons came for their looks and physiques. Jethro had heard clients mention it during business dinners. One client in his fifties had complained bitterly about his daughter being obsessed with the club's top gigolo, refusing blind dates or marriage, driving him crazy. At the time, Jethro had just listened amused, advising the client to relax. "Men can visit gentlemen's clubs. Why can't women hire gigolos? Times have changed. You need to update your thinking, sir." Now, the boomerang had come back to hit him. His feelings were... complicated. Going upstairs to the private room, he pushed open the door. His eyes immediately landed on two indescribable men sitting on either side of Darcy, fawning over her attentively. His sister was on the other side of the sofa, gazing starry-eyed at a guy with a unique hairstyle. Jethro felt his breath catch. He tugged at his tie, but it didn't help. He realized the tightness wasn't from the tie. "Jethro, you're here!" Cindy spotted him and bounded over cheerfully. "Oh, you brought Darcy a gift! Let me see what it is." Jethro swatted her hand away disdainfully, shooting a cold glance at the man on the leather sofa. "Go wash your hands. They're dirty."Cindy blinked, then understood his implication. She pouted. "These guys are all new. They haven't entertained clients yet." Entertained... Jethro's face darkened further. But Cindy, utterly fearless, plopped down next to him and said with faux innocence, "Darcy was feeling down today. Experts say looking at handsome men boosts estrogen. More estrogen means a happier woman." Outwardly calm but inwardly burning, Jethro shot her a look. He crossed his long legs, leaning back on the sofa lazily. "So, how would you rate your brother's looks?" "Huh? "Well, of course they're excellent," Cindy said, unsure where this was going. The next second, Jethro narrowed his eyes dangerously. "Then why are you hiring random men? Hmm?" "Uh..."Processing his logic, Cindy's expression shifted from confusion to sudden glee. "You finally get it!" But her joy was short-lived. His expression suddenly turned icy. Following his gaze, Cindy's own temper flared. Oh, hell no! Hands off! She rolled up her sleeves, but someone was faster. "Ah! Ouch, ouch, ouch...!" One of the gigolos crumpled to his knees in pain. The other two looked terrified. Darcy was also startled by the sudden commotion.
