You Were Warned

Chapter 81 Pierre

Pierre I had gotten back, the blood moon was in full effect. Sadragon rushed me into the bathing room. It had been so long since we had seen each other that all I wanted to do was bathe and cuddle with my mate. That was not going to happen. With the event going on, we were all expected to be in attendance or working. I groaned as Sadragon told me that there was no rest for me. Dressing in uniform, I followed Sadragon to the setup ballroom. I was not too particular to closely eyeball everything in detail. “Love!” Sadragon nudged me, “there is your friend Merna!” The place was crowded with many different species. The one that stood out the most was Merna with her red hair and green dress. Merna was looking at a female, “who is the female that Merna’s looking at?” I pointed with my head. Sadragon glanced at the individual I mentioned, “That would be Puabi, the mother of the Master's offspring. I spoke to the Master briefly.” This caught my attention, “About what?” “Go have a conversation with your friend! I told the Master that we have nothing to worry about, you two will not conspire against us and leave!” His hand was cupping my arse. I took Sadragon into my arms and embraced him, “I could not leave you even if I wanted to.” Sadragon gave me a quick peck on the lips and pushed me in the direction of Merna. A smile hit Merna’s face when she realized that I was coming her way. For a brief second, apprehension crossed her expression, with a glance back towards the Master. He gave both of us the nod of approval. Strolling over to me Merna gave me a brief hug, “how have you been?” I told Merna everything that had happened minus the assignment part. “I want to officially meet my brother in law!” Merna said with the biggest smile on her face. Yet, there was something in her eyes that did not match her expression. Pushing the notion from my mind, I started to take Merna’s hand and we strolled back to where Sadragon was mingling with other hunters. I cleared my throat to get Sadragons attention. “I thought you would have been longer!” Sadragon said as he turned around to see me.I was glowing with happiness, “My sister wanted to meet her new brother-in-law!” “Brother in law?” Sadragon did not seem convinced. “Yes! Anyone who can put up with this beast is a brother of mine!” Merna said as she hugged Sadragon. Yet again her eyes did not match her demeanour. Sadragon stood like a statue unable to decide what to do. Merna let go of her hug when she heard the Master growl. Glancing over her shoulder she shook her head shooting her hands up in the air. In a silent way telling the Master to relax. Sadragon started to chuckle, “we dragons are fearlessly overly protective of our territory and everything that lies within our borders.” Merna grunted and spoke audio words, glancing at Sadragon, “Thank you for taking great care of my brother in my place. It means the world to me to know that Pierre is happy. I have never heard nor seen him so at peace in any surrounding besides the woods. He belongs here!” Sadragon beamed when he looked at me more than Merna, “I thought that fate was never a thing until I saw Peirre in the woods with you. From that point on … I knew we would be together until life existed no more.” Merna places her hands on her hips, “well that is going to be for a very long time.” Merna glared at me, “be nice to Sadragon, he is your perfect match.” I got all defenceless, “what does that mean?” “You have the habit of being moody when you get restless and things do not go your way.” Merna set her sights on Sadragon, “sometimes he can be an overgrown baby when he is not taken care of properly. All he needs is plenty of fresh air in the woods, and he is back to new in no time!” “I am not an overgrown baby!” I started to play pout. Which caused Merna and Sadragon to have a laughing fit. Sadragon inquired, “Anything else I need to know about my mate?” Merna tapped her foot on the floor, pretending that she was in deep thought. “Nothing that I can really think about, but …” Merna had a devilish grin on her face. “What?” Sadragon was leaning towards Merna. “If you want to hear a few funny stories, I have plenty on this jerk!” Merna was belly laughing now. “You would not dare!” I placed a hand on my chest for dramatic effect. “I would! I have never had the chance to tell anyone and Sadragon is the perfect individual to tell the stories to. I am sure you would LOVE all of the tales of Pierre and his mishaps!” Merna’s eyes bounced from me to my mate. “I would love to hear them, though it appears as if the Master is wanting your attention!” Sadragon had his sights set on the Master. All of us were looking towards the Master. With a quick nod, Merna gave both Sadragon and me a hug earning her a loud growl from the Master. Chuckling, “It is so easy to get him going.” With that, she was off towards the Master. Sadragon grabbed me and pulled me towards his body. “You are right, she is a lovely hybrid. I do not know why I was so jealous of her in the first place.” Sadness was in his eyes. I took his display as a means of wishing he had not treated Merna with ill will. “Does this mean you are more relaxed around Merna now?” My mate huffed out, “It is not fully gone, but I am relaxing more. It is the Master’s jealousy that you have to contend with now.” Sadragon and I had a passionate kiss. “I will see if you two can see each other now more often, now that we know you two can be trusted. I am sure the Master will allow it.” I did one round of seeing the people in the area, “what do you say we have fun under the sheets once this is all over?” “After the auction is completed we will! I have been desperately waiting for you to come home!” Sadragon cupped my arse and started to massage it. I was still having to deal with the public display of affection. Something I would have to tell my mate that he would have to calm down on. At this moment all I could do was gaze into his eyes as my manhood started to throb with desire. “I can not wait!”
