You Were Warned
Iravu I was glaring at the data that was in front of me. In the short time that Merna had been working, she was able to get to four prisons. Successfully freed the prisoners and still had energy to spare. I am sure if I had not said something She would have continued working. It is true, that Merna is skilled and even driven. Her biggest issue is she does not know when to stop. She is so focused that she does not see how others react to the pace she sets. Not only do those around her become exhausted she will dig herself into a grave without even realizing it until it is too late. Though I can not fault her, she is no different than all youths, pushing forward to prove themselves to the world around them. Merna will find that if she spreads out the task a bit more, she will be able to accomplish a lot. Her rest time would be appropriate versus crashing. She would act instead of reacting! “Merna only rushes around because she believes she is alone in the universe, not knowing who to trust! Those she does trust, she feels like she can not speak with them … there are spies everywhere! So in the depths of the darkness, Merna moves so that she can get a head of Parppavar.” My beloved third husband, Amer advises me. “I could not help but notice dear wife how Ime spends more time close to the gates!” Sinsar my first husband said, “Could there be more behind the situation than is being said?’ “Some things are best not spoken Sinsar, Parppavar will not come here, that does not mean eyes and ears can not reach here!” Zagi, my second husband told us. “What have your eyes seen that we have not?” I asked Zagi. “The child's movement goes unseen for now, not for long! Send Ime and Ihel with the child the next time your paths cross. Our king will require their assistance.” He informed all of us. I sat there pondering what my beloved husband had suggested. It would benefit Ime and Merna a great deal to be together. Yet I could not help but wonder how deep Parppavar’s plot ran. I have tried to distract my poor granddaughter's mind from the separation of her mate! To my dismay, it only accomplished little. Ime would resort back to sulking and moping around the place. “And what do I tell Ime’s parentage?” “I will go with them! Chaos could use my eyes and knowledge!” Zagi told us. “We have never been apart!” Sinsar shouted, “once the bond was connected, we were inseparable.” Zagi motioned his head one at a time to each of us. “We must! Parppavar and Mannel are close to acquiring what they need to destroy the very fabric that holds the universe together. It is also time to bring the Triad into the fold!” I made a disgruntled noise from my throat. “They will do nothing!”“They need to see the child! They look but never see! Sometimes I believe it is they who live in the darkness and not us!” Zagi said. Ime and Ihel were given their orders while Zagi reassured us all that the steps that would be taken were for the good of the universe. As the queen, only I could summon the Triad. I waited for their response. While I waited for the Triad, I summoned Merna requiring her to be there as well. I began to believe that Merna would not show up at the time for the audience with the Triad. I knew the girl's mind could be flaky, yet I did not think that she would be bold enough to defy a summoning from me! We stood in the great hall where all meetings take place with the Triad council. As Da, Grimoire and Nido appeared sitting in their respectable spots, Ime, Ihel, Zagi and I strolled towards them, standing there before them. Once they had sat the Meeting proceeded yet Merna was still not here. “What brings you here Queen Irvau?” Da’s voice bounced around us with the command he possessed. I explained my case to the Triad. I forewarned them of everything that my so called brothers and sisters were up to. I warned them of the plot to start a new Purge. Warning them of the power that had been stolen by them. The triad glanced at us rather than among themselves. “What proof do you have? what you speak of is allegations that cannot be taken lightly!” Nido spoke calmly. “The dragon king was here not too long ago with the same accusations …” Grimoire began to chuckle. “Speaking of human borns being taken never to be found again. Why should this concern us?” I was not surprised that this would be the first line and mindset that the Triad would display. coming in from behind us Myrna strolled past us heading straight toward the Triad. Pointing at Da, “Let me guess your eyes are open yet you still cannot see!” In her hands she held folders. I could only assume in those folders was the evidence that would be required to back up our claims. Merna continued to speak to the Triad. with her eyes glued on Da, “ you I remember … Triad counsellor Da! For the other two I have never seen nor did I ever meet.” Merna said that she motioned her head to look at me. As I glared down at Merna I had to give her one thing she knew how to make an entrance and a spectacle of herself.“Who is this lowly being?” Grimoire bellowed, causing Ime and Ihel to cover their ears. Merna studied or more up and down, “lowly being how original! If I had a heart I would almost be hurt by your words … Grimoire!” “What magcik is this?” Grimoire narrowed his eyes on Merna. “It is above your pay grade!” Merna hissed. One foot in front of the other Merna continued to walk towards the Triad. Extending out her arm she handed Grimoire the folder. Briefly, Grimoire glanced at a few pages sitting on the top pile. “What is this to prove? Just a bunch of human borns disappearing!” Grimoire declared. “Your eyes are open yet you do not see. Though you are entities of the light you might as well be in the dark. These are not human borns! It is a collection of hybrids, Changelings or shapeshifters whatever you want to call them. They are Mages, Sorcerers, Bugbears and the list continues on yet still you sit here and say that there is nothing going on. Countless reports have been recorded and still nothing is being done. How can you call yourself counsellors of Justice and protection when you continue to disregard what is right in front of you … Iravu may have come here to warn you of the plot for the next Purge. I come here to tell you that I will be the reason there will not be a Purge. Justice will be served with a side order of fuck around and find out and to drink Revenge!” “You insolent little insect! Do you know who you are dealing with?” Da stood up. I could hear the laughter in Merna’s voice, “The real question is, do you know what I am?” Merna waited for a response. Not getting one, “I assume that much, if Mannel and Parppavar still have not been able to figure it out … How could I expect lowly beings like yourself to even comprehend what I am!” I should not have been surprised by the words that came out of her mouth. I should not have been shocked by the profound rudeness Merna displayed. I should not have been taken back as Myrna turned around and walked straight through me. Yet, I was! “She is perfect for Chaos!” Zagi whispered in my ear.
