You Were Warned

Chapter 124 Pirapancam

Pirapancam I sat with my seer as we had tea, lost in my thoughts, “Do you think my daughter is alright?” I could always when one of my beloved children was stressed and unwell. Sipping on her tea, “You have many daughters, Mistress, which one do you speak of?” She chuckled, placing her cup on the saucer that was in her hand. Huffing out loud, “The one that gives me the most grief … Merna!” I pondered on our last argument that we had. The conversation began as it always does! She would have a dream of the past, and come to me for answers. As I have done in many of her past lives, I would take the conversation in a different direction. The last conversation we had, resulted in disaster. No different than the other times in her past lives, I want to protect her from the pain that is bound to happen. “My Mistress …” She exclaimed out loud, “Merna is different from the others! She is an inquisitive child that will not settle for not knowing. She has a thirst for knowledge and understanding. I do not blame the child for her frustration, but she can not know! It is not time. There are eyes and ears everywhere! If they should know about Merna, her whereabouts and who she really is … all of our hard work will be for nothing. We must wait!” I understood what my seer was speaking about. Each lifetime, Merna only gets stronger. But to protect herself from my brother and sister, Parppavar and Mannel … my seer and I could only see disaster for all realms and species. “Wait we will … the frustrating part is … how long must we wait for!” It had been seen by many seers! Each only seeing a piece of the puzzle to the final purge. All those who were in favour of Chaos being the head of all realms had been executed after the last purge. Parppavar making it a public display. What will happen to those who side with Chaos? Of course that did not stop everyone, many sided with my brother. Chaos is a strong leader and understands the needs and desires for the balance of all things … living or not! The harsh reality is, that the struggle between us is still going on. Chaos is the head leader but he does not hold all the power. Parppavar had made it clear that she held just as much power. Where she came into this power … only rumours tell that tale. Stolen magick from those she had killed. “What I have seen has yet to change!” My seer began, “We have to wait for the phoenix to reach maturity! We already know that it takes many … several … lifetimes for a firebird to reach adulthood. All we can do is aid Merna in the trials she will face. I also see your daughter mated this time to Chaos! This might aid Merna into reaching adulthood!” “Do you think I should tell that bastard about Merna! And how his mate bond has formed again?” Remembering how Merna was taken away from my brother for more than one lifetime. It never did settle well with me how she was snatched away from my beloved Chaos.“A tragic love story I must admit! Foul play always ruins the greatest unions!” My seer said with sympathy in her voice. “I recommend not telling him. As bullheaded as Merna can be … Chaos can match Merna and take things to a whole new level!” “You do speak the truth! If he finds out before he can get to know Merna and build a relationship with her, he could reject Merna solely based on the word ‘mate’. It has left a nasty taste in his mouth.” Knowing full well that if I even mentioned the word mate, my brother would start to go on a tangent about how horrible a thing it is to have a weakness displayed for everyone to see. Bringing the topic back to my beloved daughter, “How do I calm Merna down this time?” I shook my head back and forth knowing this would not be the last time I would see the wrath of my daughter. Chuckling, “The same as always!” She sipped her tea, “Merna loves you and would protect you with her own life if it should come down to that. Does not mean you will not see her wrath when she feels like you are being jaded with her.” “Arg!” I leaned my head back in knowing that my seer was right as always. “Leave Merna alone until she simmers down!” I replied. “I just feel like something has changed, as if she is in a great deal of pain! BUT … she is shutting me out! More so than normal!” “I do understand what you are speaking of! Yet I have not seen anything that would alarm me about her life as a mortal! As always! She will come around, the child has a bond with you that none of your other children have. She loves you! Finds you annoying but loves you with all her being!” I watch my seer move her head back and forth. “What do you see my dear friend?” “When it pertains to Merna …” My seer went silent, “Your brother is coming!” She got up from her seat, “Chaos is coming for a visit!” My seer was quick to move. My brother has never been fond of seers. Finding their ability to be not as factual as he wants it to be. “How odd!” I commented as I stood up! “You know what I find fascinating?” I chuckled. “Mistress, I would never assume what is on your mind!” She cleverly replied. Still laughing “How quickly you leave when my brother should arrive!” With a bow, “He will never think about dislocating your head from your body, he respects you that much. I on the other hand … he would not think twice!” With that my seer was gone as my brother, Chaos made his presence known! I got up from my chair and motioned myself to join the area where Chaos had landed through his portal to my region, “Dear brother, I was not expecting you!” I said in a cheerful voice. My brother's energy hit me with a force that made me take a step back. Chaos was beyond livid, something I was all too familiar with when something was not going his way. “I do not want tales! I do not want lies!” He tossed me a slip of paper that was folded. “I do not want half of a truth … AND … by all that is pure and innocent … Do not tell me I need to wait for the truth to reveal itself! TELL ME THE TRUTH DEAR SISTER!” As I was opening the paper, I matched his tempo, “I do not know what I have done to deserve such hostility from you, but you …” I started to read what was written on the letter. What caught me off guard was a sentence that stated that Merna was my daughter. My jaw hung open, I knew that Chaos had seen my reaction. There was no way I could sweet-talk my way out of this one. “I know you have the truth to all!” Chaos growled like a feral animal. I glanced at the paper, then at my brother and repeated this action several times. “I will have to speak to my seer!” I was unsure of what was going on with the situation at hand. I have always been careful not to reveal my relations with Merna. Each lifetime my seer and I would conceal and hide the truth. I even tempered with the Akasha Records. Making it appear as if my beloved daughter was just created. So how is it that Chaos has this information? In his own writing? Venom coated his words, “Do something better and bring your seer here, so we both can hear what is to be said!” He hissed at me. “My seer fears for her life!” I stated, “With the temper you are displaying … I fear for her well being as well!” Hissing again, “For good reason I believe!” I handed the page back, “For good reasons!” I repeated what he said. Narrowing his eyes on me, “I sent my mate away with no memories to speak of! I ruined my SON … prospects of a future and FAMILY! TELL ME WHY? There has to be a reason that is greater than a mate bond that would cause me to do THIS!” I took a couple of steps back as Chaos’ words sunk into my very being. “NO!” The words came out as I covered my mouth not wanting my brother to see my lower lip quiver. “That is because someone has been playing with the timeline of events to benefit themselves!” My seer had let herself be known. “Mannel!” Both Chaos and I said at the same time! Glancing at one another there was fear written on all of our faces. His words came out shakily, “Dear beloved sister …” Chaos stared at me with so much fear, “What is it that would cause me to fear more than anything ... to push my mate … mine and Ashur’s mate away?” “I do not know! I swear to you dear beloved brother …” I could see my brother's temper boiling. “I am as lost as you are!” My seer stepped between the both of us, “I know part of why!” My brother’s eyes glowed red, “tell me seer or die!” I knew that if my brother could get away with it he would snap the life forces out of my seer. “Dear brother … This is why all seers avoid you! PLEASE!” I begged my brother. My seer bowed to me, “with all due respect my Mistress … you should be as irate as your platonic brother. For you and he were made a fool … Merna is in a great deal of danger! More than she ever was!” Upon hearing this Chaos roared, shaking the very foundation we stood on. Allowing them to have his dragon temper tantrum, I waited. “If you are done I would like to continue, my king!” My seer revealed the side of her neck in respect. Heaving, “Continue seer!” “It is true we all do not remember! Your grand high mage is to blame for this. Who he truly worked for … I can not answer that question! I do know that he is to blame for our memory loss. He is also to blame for the butterfly effect!” My seer positioned herself in a comfortable position. “This is just a feeling and not a fact. I only see shadows that are not fully formed but I believe that Gwydion had plans to collect Merna for his own! Chaos I believe he was working for himself. What I know is this … because of his plan to fool you Chaos … someone else stepped in to save you!” Chaos let out a breath of relief. “Do not get so comfortable yet my king!” My seer warned! Chaos glared at my seer as if he was about to pounce on her and kill her. My seer continued, “Mannel still exists again! All that was … was re-written! The spies still live and the only one with the memories … is Merna and the one that stepped in to save you!” Chaos and I glanced at one another, “what?” We both said at the same time. “What had happened has been undone! Their work no longer holds Mannel. He wanders free! Free to collect the human borns … the hybrids and those of magickal descent!” “The hybrids are rare … far apart from one finding to the other!” Chaos sputtered his truth.“This is where you are wrong my king!” My seer began, “hybrids were plentiful … until Mannel and Parppavar started to collect them once they found them.” My seer joined the tips of her fingers together. “The reason you do not hear of them, the hybrids, is because once one is found … Mannel kills them, taking them for his own! Sharing the powers with Parppavar!” Chaos snorted, “a master can only collect …” “My benevolent king!” My seer bowed, “You are the only one that follows the law! The law of natural order and balance! Those I speak of, abduct, kill and claim as their own!” “This is not possible … they are foul but even they …” Chaos panicked as his thoughts were spoken out loud. “Mistress tell him!” My seer told me. This caught my brother's attention, “What should I be told?” “Tell him Mistress or I shall!” My seer warned. “His mate is not with him!” I hissed! “Chaos knows of his mate!” She retorted back. “TELL ME WHAT?” Chaos roared. My seer bowed gracefully, “your wife to be is of the bloodline Neruppu paravai! A very rare bloodline for sure! I have seen it myself!” “The Neruppu paravai are extinct …” Chaos glared at me, “Correct!?” His eyes bounced from me to my seer. I smiled at my dear beloved brother, not knowing how he would react to what would be told to him. “Do you have time for tea? Possibly a long tale of the past that our platonic siblings do … not … have knowledge about!” Chaos pinched the bridge of his nose, “Tell me again why I put up with you dear beloved Pirapancam?” I embraced my brother and kissed him gently on the cheek, “Because there are few that can handle your temper! I so happen to be one of them! And survived several of your outbursts!”
