Revenge of the Rejected

Chapter 139

"Now this is a big deal." Charles said to himself with a smile, as he brought out his phone from his pocket and took pictures of the illegal drugs. He checked the pictures, and ensured they were bright enough, and couldn't be mistaken for any other thing before zipping up the bag, and returning it back to its place. Then he looked around, ensuring there would be no cause for suspicion. He didn't want them noticing anyone had sneaked into their rooms. He left immediately, walking down the corridor, as fast as he could, and immediately Charles got down the stairs, he sent the pictures of the drugs to the cops, and to James. He got a call from James immediately, and smiled. "Did you find all those at Mr. Lincoln's house?" James asked, immediately Charles picked his call. "Large amounts of it. They were in Sandra's room to be precise. Although I found some dollar bills covered in cocaine dust in a safe in Mr. Lincoln's room." He answered, pulling the fridge open, and taking water out of it. "They do hard drugs." James said, in an awed voice. That was an advantage to them. "I also found some documents that belong to my mother. They're with me. I'll bring them very soon." He added, opening the bottle of water. "I'll check them out when you bring them." "And also there's this key with my name on it. It's the key to a safe box." "Do you know what safe box?" James asked, as Charles gulped down water. "Charles?" He called, when Charles didn't reply. "Sorry, I just had some water. I don't know what safe box it is, but I doubt it's anywhere near here. I feel it contains more plans to bring me down, but it doesn't really matter because he'll never be able to open it, and he's going down soon." Charles replied, bottling his water, while his phone laid on his shoulder. "That's very true. I'll be expecting the documents." "That's fine." Charles replied, and ended the call. Shortly, the maid returned from the errand Sandra had sent her on, and Charles left Mr. Lincoln's house. He only had to walk a little distance, before he spotted his driver, and he got into the car. Then he received a call from Vera. "Good evening." She greeted. "Good evening. Is there a problem?" Charles asked, looking at his mother's documents, which he had taken from Mr. Lincoln's safe. "I heard you found hard drugs in Sandra's room." She said, and Charles smiled. "James already told you?" "Yes, I went to review your schedule with him, and he kept on smiling, so I asked, and he said you found indian hemp in Sandra's bags." She replied. "Yes I did. Not just indian hemp. She had cocaine too." "Who would think that lady uses hard drugs? We've totally got them? Have you informed the cops?" "Yes, I have, but they won't move now. I prefer Mr. Lincoln taken aback when he returns. When Charles got home, he took a long shower, reliving himself of the stress of the awful day. Tyson had given him countless errands to run, and it had him exhausted. After his bath, he went down to the dining, and looked at the dinner that had been laid down for him. It had been prepared not too long ago, and was still warm. Charles began to eat, but even as he did, sleep crowded his eyes. He was tired, and needed rest. After his dinner, he left the table and went back to his room, falling on the bed immediately. ~ The next morning, Charles woke up feeling extremely tired, and without strength. Thinking of returning to the Lincoln household was exhausting for him. But just as he was about to get out of bed, a notification from the system popped up in front of him, and his sour mood shot high into the sky like a firework. YOU HAVE RECEIVED A MILLION DOLLARS. Charles heart beat skyrocketed in excitement, as he realized he didn't need to return to the Lincoln house, and that they were done for. He knew exactly what he was using the money for, and it was to buy off one of Mr. Lincoln's companies. Mr. Lincoln, despite his haughty demeanor actually had a few loans he hadn't paid off, and due to that, a bank had liquidated one of his companies. So, he was going to buy it off, and Mr. Lincoln was going to get one hell of a nasty surprise upon his return. Charles immediately jumped to the bathroom, taking off his clothes, and stepping under the shower. He had to act fast. He could see his dreams of revenge coming true. That last notification from the system had been what he needed all along. After taking his bath, Charles dressed up, and left his house, without having breakfast. Then he called James. "Good morning, Charles." James greeted, cheerfully. "Good morning, James. I received a notification from the system this morning, and i've been granted a million dollars." Charles said, getting into his car. "Really?" James asked in shock. "Okay, so what's the plan?" "I'm going to buy off one of Mr. Lincoln's companies. Right now, I'm headed to the bank that liquidated one of his companies." He replied, signalling to his driver to start moving. The driver did, and Charles leaned back in his seat. "Do you need me to be there?" James asked. "It's alright. I can take care of this myself. Just keep on with whatever you're doing. I'll give you feedback soon enough." Charles answered, and they talked for a while longer, before Charles ended the call. With every step, and decision he took, he was getting closer to destroying his father, and repaying him for all the pains he had caused, and scars he had given him. Not long, Charles arrived at the bank, and got down from the car. He smoothened his tie, and walked in, his shoes knocking on the floor confidently. It would no longer be easy for the Lincoln family. As of that moment, Charles was taking everything from them.
