Revenge of the Rejected
Sandra walked out of her room, and headed downstairs to see Charles sitting humbly, and looking around like he was awed by the beauty of the mansion. She smiled, and walked down the stairs like a boss woman who has all she needs at her feet. When Charles sighted her, he rose to feet with both his hands humbly clasped together, and he bowed a little when she got closer to him. “Good day, ma’am.” He greeted her with respect. “Good day. Have a seat, Andrews.” She urged as she took her seat proudly and comfortably. Charles was excited and happy on where this was heading to, and he couldn’t wait to start his work here. At least, if he continued gardening this place, it might come to a period when he would be allowed into the house to run some quick errands or for any reason, and from there, he would have access to a few primary things that would aid him in destroying the entire family. “So, I’m happy you came early because there is somewhere I need you to accompany me to before you get back to work. I know you came here for the lawn, but I need you for something else.” She voiced out, with a smile. “And you don’t need to worry. I’ll pay you for it.” She added, now waiting for Charles’ response. Charles was more than ready to go with her because he felt that could be the number one information, he could get that would bring the Lincoln’s closer to their ruins. “I’m always at your service, ma’am.” Charles responded in a respectful tone. “Alright then. You’ll have to be patient a little for me to get ready.” “Sure, no problem, ma’am.” Then Sandra stood up, feeling elated as things were working out for her, then she walked back to her room. Charles on the other hand waited for her to be out of sight before he contacted James. “Hey boss. How’s it going?” “Much better than I expected. Now, I need your help.” Charles spoke out, and then looked around to be certain no one was lurking around to pick up on what he was about to say. “Alright, boss.” “I need you to get me a bug as soon as you can. And any tech that can serve as a little camera so you can watch whatever I’m seeing or wherever I am.” Charles laid out his plan. “Alright, on it, boss.” “I need it as fast as possible. At least, before Sandra gets back to the sitting room, and that should be in fifteen to twenty minutes time.” Charles urged, and James understood the urgency of what he had asked for. After ending the call, Charles impatiently waited for James to carry out his instruction as he didn’t want Sandra to get back to the sitting room before James got here. About twenty minutes passed, and James wasn’t here. Charles was beginning to get frustrated that his plans weren’t going to go as he wanted, and worse was that he heard Sandra’s footsteps down the stairs. “Shit!” He cursed under his breath. “I need to buy myself some time.” He thought to himself. Then he rose to his feet, and walked up to Sandra before she got tohim. “Is there anything wrong?” Sandra asked, out of curiosity. “I… I need to use the bathroom.” Charles lied, hoping that would buy him enough time for James to come around. “Alright then. You can leave. I’ll be waiting. The bathroom is just at the left corner.” “Thanks, ma’am.” He appreciated her, and hurried down to the bathroom. As soon as he got to the bathroom, it dawned on him that he hadn’t figured out a way for James to get to him without suspicion brewing from Sandra. “Shit!” He cursed again as he slammed his fist on the basin. Then his phone vibrated, and he discovered it was a call from James. “Hello boss. I’m right in front of the Lincoln’s house.” James informed him. “You got here late. Sandra is in the sitting room, and there’s no way I can meet with you without any suspicion. She looks like someone who suspects even the little things, so she would catch on.” Charles said and connected the heel of his palm to his forehead. James also sighed deeply, feeling bad that he hadn’t tried his best on this when they had just gotten something that could possibly turn out for the best for them. Then Charles raised his head up as an idea had just come into his head. He glanced at the bathroom’s window, and smiled satisfyingly as it was possible to climb out. He climbed to the , and looked outside, then jumped out and landed at the back yard. He hurried swiftly towards the front door, and noticed James’ car parked somewhere not too far from the Lincoln’s home.“Hey! Quickly!” Charles urged as he got close to James’ car and James hurriedly brought out the devices, and attached it to Charles’ shirt, and behind his ear. “Alright, it’s all done, boss.” “Thanks.” Charles appreciated him, and went back the same way he got out. Sandra had not even noticed he had gone for quite a while as she was busy laughing while scrolling through a few things on her phone. “Ma’am. I’m sorry I took long. I’m here.” “Oh, it’s alright. Let’s leave, now. Do you know how to drive?” “Certainly, ma’am.” “Nice.” They both walked out and with her directions, Charles drove her off to where she was heading to. It was a big building, but more like a garage, and almost like the one he was held at, when he had to use George as a bait. He walked in with Sandra and looked around carefully. “I do not want you to say a word of this to anyone, alright?” Sandra warned, and Charles nodded. A few men in dark suits who looked like they were someone’s goons were around a barrel of fire, and were discussing about something which seemed important. “It doesn’t surprise me that you could be involved in something fishy.” He thought to himself, but a look of shock appeared on his face when he caught sight of someone he never expected to see. “George.” How connected and interwoven are all these dirty politicians or wealthy people?
