Alpha Nicholas’s Forbidden Little Mate

Chapter 80

Alpha Nicholas The air feels tense as we wait for Ryan to finally start talking and I swear that Rosie is about to bite her nails off and is going to make a run for it at any moment despite not having any information yet. Both she and Tony look ready to burst and I don't blame either of them. "Ryan, you gotta start talking, please, man!" Tony pleads while Ryan nods and seems nervous and I get it. Since we started this search, this is the first time that we have had even a scrap of hope and if it turns out to be nothing then it will devastate both Rosie and Tony, and that will kill Ryan. Of course, none of us will blame Ryan but I know that he will blame himself. "Our group headed out to the south side of Rosie's last known location but after a few hours of yet another useless search, we decided to expand our search even further. We walked for around an hour searching every inch of ground along the way with no luck. We had the largest search group out there as a few guards that had been searching during the night chose to join us instead of going to bed." I see the gratitude on both Tony's and Rosie's faces when they hear this. We have been searching for a month and not once have I heard of any of my pack members complaining. They all want those boys found and are willing to search day and night and those guards that joined Ryan's search team this morning have just proven that to be even more true. Once those babies have been found I will find a way to reward my pack members for everything that they have done. I don't have any ideas yet as to what I'll do but I will find a way, that is a promise. "What happened?" She asks eager for Ryan to keep telling us what's going on. "Well, seeing as we had so many with us we decided to split up into two groups and while the first group being led by Shane carried on the path that we were on, my group decided to head further west. We walked for a few more hours and that's when we stumbled upon a clearing in the woods and there we found what appears to be some kind of camp. There are a lot of wolves there and kids." "Ok. So what makes you think that this is any different to any other normal Rogue camp?" Robbie asks, in a pretty shitty way may I add. Of course, It's a valid question and one that I was already thinking about myself however, Ryan is far from dull and if he's bringing this to our attention then I already know that there's a reason why. I doubt Robbie even realizes that he's just acted like that but the thing about Robbie is he's got a heart of gold and this situation will be eating him up inside. He just needs to learn when to keep his anger in check. "Honestly the whole set-up. From the moment I laid eyes on it I got this weird feeling. Of course, we couldn't get too close without causing suspicion but some of the guards had brought binoculars with them so we used those to see as much as possible." "And what did you see?" I ask. "There were several small tents scattered over the campgrounds, some fires set up and washing lines. Nothing that seemed out of the ordinary but then I zoomed in on one seriously large tent that was set up in the centre of the camp and seemed like the main part of the area. There were wolves constantly walking in and out of there." "Still sounds like every Rogue site that I've seen before," Robbie grunts and I want to slap him upside his head for being an insensitive dick head right now. It's clear to see that Ryan is struggling with what he's telling us and he doesn't need to be rushed so quickly. Of course, as much as Robbie is being a dick right now, I know that he will apologize once he realizes what he's done. He always does. I look back at Ryan as he takes a deep breath and runs his hand through his hair and my stomach tightens before he even starts speaking again. Fuck! "It looked like it but... Fuck... We were watching the place for around 30 minutes and in that time there must have been at least 7 pups carried out of that tent... as in newborn pups. 7 in the space of 30 minutes. And that's not all... aside from the newborn pups, we saw several older pups there and... two of them fitted the rough description and age that Rosie gave us. I'm not saying that it was them but I just got this wired fucking feeling when I saw them and I dunno..." It's clear to see that this is hard on him and I feel for him I do, but im glad that he's told us because to me it sounds like it's another one of those fucking breading farm cult places and worth a search. "I know... I know that it may not be them but there's a chance... How did they look? Did they look ok? Did they look happy and healthy? Did they look sad or afraid?" The words pour out of Rosie's mouth like water at a waterfall but I understand where she's coming from. "Baby, breathe," Tony whispers to her while he takes her hands in his and gently rubs them. She takes a deep breath and nods her head. "I'm sorry, Ryan. Please, ignore me." He shakes his head not looking in the least bit fazed by her outburst "It's ok, Rosie. While I could never understand how you feel physically, I do get where you are coming from. I only saw them for a few minutes but from what I did see, they looked clean and healthy. I couldn't tell you any more than that but that's because I didn't stay around long to watch. I wanted to get back here to inform everyone ASAP." "And we appreciate that, we do," Tony says as he continues to help Rosie stay somewhat calm. "Fuck, Ryan. I'm sorry, man. I didn't mean to be a asshole just now. I'm just so fucking angry but still, I shouldn't have taken it out on you." And there it is. "Nothing to be sorry for, Robbie. I think it's safe to say that we are all feeling it and all get heated at times. It shows how much you care about those little boys already and how much of a good uncle you will be to them." "The best," Tony says while everyone in the room nods agreeing. Robbie walks over to Ryan and slaps him on the shoulder and just like that all is back to normal. One thing I love about my pack is how almost everyone is quick to forgive when something happens especially the smaller things. Life is too short to waste time hating someone. "So what's the plan now?" Tony asks looking straight at me. Fuck, I need a plan and quickly. "We are going to gather a few hundred men and head for that camp. While we do not know if your boys are there yet, it still seems like this could be another cult and if it is then it's going down and going down today!" I shout as anger races through my veins."What about any innocent victims that are there? What about those babies and children?" Rosie asks. At first, im pissed at her question, the small underline accusation making me want to bellow but then I remind myself of her life before she came here and the fact that she still doesn't know us greatly and I swallow all those feelings down and just go with answering her honestly. "All innocent parties and children will be brought back here and we will help them to get home back to their families. Don't worry, Rosie, we would never harm any innocent children." "I'm sorry. I know you wouldn't. I guess I just had a moment. I'm sorry, Alpha, I didn't mean any offensive." "I know you didn't, sweetheart. It's ok. I can understand why you mind when like it did. No harm done" She thanks me but still looks guilty as hell even when she doesn't need to be. "I want everyone to head out of here and get changed and get something to eat. We will meet out the front in one hour and head for this camp. And before anyone starts, I know that you all want to get going now but I have some arrangements to make and need time to together some things. One hour isn't long to change and eat but it's the most amount of time that I'm willing to spare." "Please, everyone eat before we leave. I dont want anyone caught off guard because they were distracted by a growling stomach." Tony says and thankfully it seems to do the trick as everyone starts to leave my office aside from my brothers of course. Once everyone else has left the guys take seats in front of my desk while Bonnie suddenly stands up making me want to whine from the loss of contact. "I'm going to check on the women, make sure that Lottie is ok. I'll meet you in the kitchen." She leans down and places the sweetest kiss on my lips before pulling away leaving me wanting more. Fuck, I love her kisses. I'm not sure what conversation she had with Lottie before they came in here but knowing both of my girls, im not too worried. "Fuck, I hope they are there, im not sure how much longer I can do this." Robbie grunts while the rest of us nod agreeing. While we always remain strong and confident about finding the boys when Tony or Rosie are around, I can't deny that we dont have our weaker moments when they are not. They dont need to hear us speaking in any way other than positive but that also doesn't mean that we dont think about it so instead, we keep our weak moments between us and only give them our positive. "Well, it's been the only positive that we have had so far and I for one intend on focusing on that until we are given a reason not to." Shane says and I can't help but agree. "If those boys aren't there then we will deal with it then but until that moment comes we will continue forward with all we have and take down every evil fucker at that place!" I growl as my brothers make only noises of approval.
