Alpha Nicholas’s Forbidden Little Mate
Bonnie Watching Lottie as she steps closer to her mom is somewhat heartbreaking. What must she be feeling right now? What must she be thinking? What do you say to the one person who should have always been there for you? She's never known the love of a mom and it's heartbreaking and while I know how she feels in that department there's still a huge difference in our situations. Her mom chose to leave her, but my mom didn't. I've heard more than once about how much of a good mom my mom was, and about how excited she was to have me and Blue. She wouldn't have walked away from us ever but Lola chose to walk away from Lottie and I am pretty sure that she doesn't regret a thing about it. I can't imagine the pain that she feels. I wouldn't want to. "Why?" She asks Lola. Her voice sounds so raw and pained that I feel a tug in my heart. Nick gently pulls on my hand and leads me across the room until we are facing both Lottie and Lola. "Why what?" Lola asks acting dull. Every single person in this room knows what she is asking. "Why did you leave me? Why did you abandon me?" Lola rolls her eyes, actually rolls her eyes at her daughter as if she is asking a stupid question. "You shouldn't ask questions when there's a chance that you won't like the answer." Lola grunts. Since the moment that Lottie walked in here not once has she shown even an ounce of interest, and even now as her daughter looks directly at her, she just looks through her like she doesn't matter. Still, I guess the sad reality is that Lottie doesn't matter to Lola because if she did then she wouldn't have left her or at the very least she would have come back for her but she never did. "There ain't anything you can say that will upset me. I accepted the situation for what it was a long time ago. I guess I'm curious. Curious as to how a mother can just abandon her daughter, can just walk away and never return." "I did return." Lola grunts looking bored of this conversation. "Oh yes, that's right Mother dearest. You did come back didn't you, and why was that now? Oh yes, that's right. You came back to gain money from me. That's why you came back." Lola turns her head and gives Nick a fiflty look forcing me to lodge a growl in my throat. This isn't anything to do with me so I'll do my best to remain quiet but if it's needed then I will get involved and I won't regret a thing. "Do you think that I wouldn't tell her the truth? Why the fuck would I cover your ass?" He spits while several grunts of agreement echo around the room. Instead of answering him, she turns her attention back to Lottie as she huffs. "Look kid, I'm sure you're lovely and all that but I never wanted kids, ever! I was forced to have you. Believe me, if I could have gotten rid of you I would have but I couldn't. If it's any condolence to you I looked after you for three years before I left you here so if you ask me, your situation could have been a lot worse!" Is she fucking kidding me! Oh hell no! Now I'm beyond pissed. I know she's a bitch but good goddess there was no need for that kind of response. I keep my eyes on Lottie and feel pride as she remains standing with her shoulders pushed back and her head held high. I can imagine that those words have hurt a lot but she's not giving Lola an ounce of reaction I may not have known her for long but I still feel proud of her. "You are one sick bitch!" Robbie growls as he storms towards Lola. "You never looked after her, her Granddad did!" "Me... her Granddad... does it really matter? Who even are you?" Lola asks once again looking bored. She doesn't give a fuck what her words have done to Lottie. "Oh wait, you must be one of Nicky's brothers. You are, aren't you? You have the same eyes, although I must say that you are by far more good-looking than him. It's a shame that you ain't Lottie's dad. I could make it work with you." I hold back another growl at her calling my mate Nicky but it is quickly replaced with a laugh that I can't hold back and neither can most of the others in the room as we watch Robbie shiver in disgust while he gags."Oh, sweetheart. You couldn't pay me to go near you and if I had thought that Nicky had gone anywhere near you then I would have had his ass committed to a physo ward! Yes, I am his brother. I'm also Lottie's Uncle and I'm one lucky fucker to have her in my life." "Dad, Uncle Robbie, and all my other Uncles and family were the ones that were there for me when you weren't. They are the ones that held me when I was sad or hurt. They were the ones who helped me when I got sad because I didn't have a mom. They are everything to me and I wouldn't change any of them for the world." Lottie's words are strong and confident as she sets her mother straight and I feel Nick stand a little taller as pride shows on his face. "Oh, bore off!" She grunts. This woman is un fucking real and while I don't usually like the idea of violence right now, I'd happily take the bitch out myself! Robbie walks over to Lottie and pulls her to his side. She looks up at him before looking over to Nick and me and then puts her attention back on Lola. "You know what... You're not worth a minute of my time. You're not worth a second of my breath and I'm ok with that. I thought I'd feel different if I spoke to you and maybe got some answers. However, I have realised that I don't need you or your pathetic answers. I have those that matter around me and I'm good with that."A laugh resembling a cackle suddenly fills the room while Lola looks like she's having a nervous breakdown with how hard she's laughing. "Oh, that was so pathetic that it was funny. I know every single person that you have around you and I can tell you my girl that you would be better off in the wild with Rogues than with these bunch of assholes. Hell, your new mommy is only two years older than you. So so sad." "I may not have known her for long and she may only be two years older than me but already she has shown me more love than you ever did. She has shown me more care and compassion than you ever did. She may be only two years older than me but Lola, she is everything that you're not and I wouldn't want anyone else as my dad's mate and as my mom." While we have spent some time together unfortantly, we haven't gotten to spend as much time together as I would have liked and I have a feeling that she's only saying this stuff to try and hurt Lola but still, her words take my breath away and yes, I'm only two years older than her and I imagine that because of that, that we will have more of a friends relationship rather than mother and daughter but still, I will always be there for her and already I feel her sneaking her way into my heart. So, while I feel her words are meant to trigger Lola, I'm more than happy to go along with it. Lola goes to speak but Lottie ignores her as she walks over to us and hugs her dad before kissing him on the cheek and then shocks the hell out of me when she does the same to me. It's the first time that she has had this kind of interaction with me and it makes my heart feel somewhat fuller. Just before she pulls away from me she leans in and whispers in my ear. "I'm sorry if I made you feel awkward but I appreciate you not saying anything." I turn my head a little and whisper back to her. "You have nothing to feel sorry for. I loved what you said. We may have a long way to go Lottie but know that I'm here and I have your back regardless of our situation." She pulls back giving me a beaming smile and thanking me before looking back at Nick. "I'm going to head over to Jenny's, Dad. I don't need to be here anymore and I don't care what happens to her." Nick smiles as he gives her another hug. "Ok, darling. I'll call you once I've finished taking out the trash." She smiles and then looks over her shoulder toward my dad and brother before dragging her gaze along Blue and Lola before it stops back on Nick. "Make them hurt Dad. Not just for me but for Bonnie and everyone else that they have hurt. Make it the worst pain that they have ever felt." I can't help but smile as I hear little chuckles come from across the room. "That's my girl!" I hear Shane cheer as he comes over and takes her hand. "I'm gonna walk my niece over to Jenny's. Don't start the fun without me or I'll be pissed." Nick laughs while agreeing as we watch Shane walk Lottie out of the shed. Within seconds of them leaving the doors open once more and in comes a herd of men all as tall and muscled as the next and I feel myself stiffen before taking a step back only I stop when I hit the brick wall that is my mate as he presses his chest against my back and wraps his arms around my waist. "It's ok, baby. They're the Elders and some of their people. They won't hurt you. I won't allow anyone to hurt you ever again."
