Alpha Nicholas’s Forbidden Little Mate

Chapter 121

Alpha Nicholas I close my eyes and focus on taking slow deep breaths but every time I open them I still see red as that prick of a doctor continues to exist. I'm in my head and in this moment I just want to end him plain and simple. Just rip his heart out and be done with it but I can't, I can't for a lot of reasons one being the fact that he has information that we need, information that could be the answer to all our questions and a way to end this nightmare and two, well, the second reason is simple really, he needs to suffer for what he's done and not just get a quick and easy death. One thing I've always prided myself on is my self-control but right now it is being tested to the max and as much as I keep telling myself to rein it in I can't, not right now anyway. Luckily for me, the worry is taken away from me when Shane steps up and stands in front of me putting all of his focus on the doc while Will pulls me back. I hear grunting and look to my left only to find Robbie being held back by my dad and Tony. Fuck, maybe he's struggling more than we realised. Once we get this shit with the doc dealt with we need to get some focus on Robbie and help him as much as we can. Shane takes a step closer to the doc until they are practically nose to nose and the doc is shaking like a shitting dog. "Ok, doc. Now it's time for us to have a little chat...." "So how about you tell us what you know about the cult? Or better still why you would work for them?" Shane growls. The doc remains shaking but I start to get a strange feeling and I don't like it but I keep quiet and let Shane do his thing. "If I tell you what you want to know will you let me go?" Shane shakes his head but before he can say anything Tony walks over to the doc and wraps a silver collar around his neck. It's not tight enough to harm but with my head, as messed up as it is right now it takes me a minute to realise why he does it. "Just in case you wanted to mind link any of your little cult friends." He growls and that's all it takes for everything to fall into place in my head. "You don't work for the cult do you, doc? You are one of them isn't that right?" I say as I take a few steps towards him, Will makes a move to stop me but I give him a look assuring him that I'm good and he backs off. I am good because the more I rein in my anger the more I can see what's really going on here. "Oh, please tell me you're joking?" Robbie growls as his head goes between the doc and me. "Oh I wish I was but it's true isn't it doc?" I ask keeping my attention firmly on him watching his every move and reaction. I don't miss the small twitch that he gets in his jaw and more than anything I don't miss the small smirk that appears on his face before he can stop it. I'm not sure who noticed it and who didn't but one thing is for sure, I did and so did Robbie if his growl is anything to go by. This also leads me to another question. Is he really scared right now or pretending? "You were asked a question, asshole!" Shane growls kicking out at the doc. "You have five seconds to answer him or I'm going to get the silver knife out to play!" So maybe Shane saw that smirk too. The doc pales but doesn't say a word only watches as Shane walks over to the table we have placed at the back of the room holding several tools that are sometimes needed when we are in this room. He walks back over to the doc while twirling the knife in his hand careful not to touch the top that is covered in silver. Not enough to kill but enough to cause an incredible amount of pain. "You going to talk, doc?" He asks as he walks around him and stops at his back so that he can't see him. Doc tries to twist himself to see Shane but it's no use and all he ends up doing is letting out a whimper when Shane brings the knife to rest on his shirt just inches from his neck. Maybe he really is scared after all. He'd be stupid not to be. "Ok, ok. I'll answer you. Yes, yes I am a member of the sanctuary." "Sanctuary? Are you fucking kidding me! It is a cult. A nasty evil place. A place that we are going to end!" I roar as I step closer to him. "It's not a cult. Cults are evil. We help people." The more I listen to him talk the clearer it becomes that either he is that far gone or he has simply lost the plot. Right now, I wouldn't like to guess as to which one it could be. "And how exactly do you help people?" I ask using every ounce of strength that I have to hold myself back before I flip and kill him before we have all of the information that we want. He looks around the room before returning his gaze to me. "We help wolves who can't have children. We are very similar to an adoption agency for childless werewolves.""Fuck, he sounds so convincing that I'm actually starting to think that he believes what he says," Shane grunts. "Yeah, you aren't the only one there, brother." Robbie sounds completely dumbfounded and I'd bet my last dollar that most of the men that are in this room feel the same including myself. "You really believe that you are doing good, don't you?" I ask. I need to hear him answer me. I need to hear the words. "Of course." He nods. "We are just doing the goddess's work. We are just helping those that need it." How has he kept up such a good act all of this time? He has been the doc at this pack for decades and yet, always kept up his act. How have I never noticed how fucked up in the head he truly is? How hasn't anyone noticed? Deciding that this line of talking isn't going to get us anywhere I decide to try a different way of getting what I want out of him by being blunt and straight to the point. I walk over to the table and grab myself a chair before bringing it over so that I can sit in front of the doc. "Grab him a chair, Beta. It's time for a chat." The look Shane gives me tells me that he's not happy about the request but as always he does what I ask without question when around our men. It doesn't mean he won't question me on it later but he never fails to keep up appearances in front of our men unless it's something incredibly serious that he feels needs addressing right away. I don't take my eyes off the doctor the entire time that it takes for Shane to bring over a chair and lower the chains so that he can take a seat. "So doc, tell me something. How does it work? What is the process from the moment someone comes to you wanting a baby to you handing one over to them?" I want to know everything and if that means keeping my anger in check a while longer then so be it. "It's just like any other adoption sanctuary. They come in and tell us what they want and we deliver just that." He's way too calm and collected about this whole thing for my liking. "And you get a nice efty check for your time, right?" I ask while working to keep both myself and Storm calm. "Yes, we get paid but that is just to cover our costs. The costs of providing for the mother while she is pregnant and so forth." "So tell me, where do you find these pregnant women? How old are the other children that you sell off like cattle? Where do they come from?" I fire out question after question with the hope that he has the least amount of time to think and will answer quickly. "We have children of all ages available. Some of them were Rogues, and some of them had lost their families for one reason or another. They are lost children lonely and unloved. We help them by finding them new parents. I don't see why that's a bad thing!" He growls trying to act bold when everyone in this room can see that he is anything but. "And where do you find the women?" Before he even opens his mouth I know that he is about to continue lying because let's be honest, so far that's all he has done. But I let him keep going wanting to see just how tongue-tied he gets before he starts to fall apart. "Sometimes they are Rogues. Sometimes they have lost their mate and don't want to raise a baby on their own or the connection to their mate is too much. Sometimes it's women who have cheated on their mate and need to hide it. We don't judge anyone. We will help them regardless. I start clapping, I can't help myself. One second the room is in complete silence, the next it's filled with the echoes of clapping as everyone follows my lead while the doc looks on confused and wary. Good he fucking should be. "While that is very kind-hearted of you we all know it is nothing but a story, a great one at that but it's just that, a story and all a big fat lie. You know it, I know it and the moon goddess herself knows it. "What do you mean?" As soon as he realises I know more than he thinks he's back to scared. Doesn't like being caught out. "Don't play the innocent act with me. You have no idea how much my wolf wants out and trust me when I tell you that you had better pray that he doesn't get out." He pales at my words while for the first time since we've been in this room he shows real fear. I stand up tipping my chair over in the process before getting right in his face as my anger starts to take over once more. "Those women didn't come to you voluntarily!" I bellow. "They were all kidnapped and forced to breed and give birth for your sick cult. They were forced to give their babies away and when they weren't of any value to you anymore you killed them. You impregnated teenage girls you sick fuck!" My body starts to shake from the force of my anger and I'm not sure how much longer I can control it. I step right into his face and let Storm come through for a moment to show him that I'm not messing around here. "You have a choice right now. A chance to choose how you die. It can be done quickly and easily or it can be done in ways that you don't even want to think about but I can guarantee you that you don't want to find out. "I want to know everything about these cults and I mean fucking everything. Now It's up to you, the choice is yours."
