I Became a God After the Apocalypse Game
'Innate Talent: Infinite Tamer (Level 1). As a Divine Beastmaster, you have already grasped the true essence of beast control. There is no limit to the number of beasts you can tame.' Aiden was caught off guard. No limit to the number of beasts he could tame? Was he seeing things? He read the skill over and over again, unable to snap out of it. Rich Man's Defense was already a cheat code itself. Who would've guessed that Infinite Tamer was just as absurd? In Doomsday, people believed Beastmasters had the most potential and least favorable starting point. Aside from the differences in the strength of the beasts themselves, another major reason was that unlocking more beast slots required extremely strict conditions. Take Aiden himself, for example. Currently, he only had one beast slot. If he wanted to open up a second one, he would first have to reach Level 30, and he would need to exceed 1,500 Energy Points. This applied to every Beastmaster out there. One could say the conditions were so harsh they were downright insane. Even with Aiden freely allocating points to his Energy, plus all the rare, one-of-a-kind opportunities he had encountered, he only had 2,200 Energy Points. For anyone else at Level 30 to reach 1,500 Energy Points was simply unachievable. And the requirements for the later beast slots would only become more rigorous. Because of this, even though Beastmasters technically could have multiple beasts, the overwhelming majority of them only ever had one, including NPCs. The few exceptions were all people with absurd levels of wealth and power. For example, Steven. As a member of the royal family, he had both the money and exceptional innate talent, which gave him the qualifications to raise multiple beasts. But even so, he only had three core beasts. Now, Aiden had shattered every single restriction with one stroke. The only thing left to think about was how many resources he would pour into his tamed beasts. But that led to another question—what was his second class again? The Wealthlord. In that moment, Aiden almost felt like he could hear his own heart pounding wildly. Was this how the game worked? "Holy Dragon above, from now on, I'm sticking with you." He added, "You handle the fighting, and I'll stick to the celebrations." Aiden was so moved he almost felt like crying. He had never believed in God, but now, he decided he'd pay his respects to the Holy Dragon on one auspicious day. He held so much power! "Alright now, calm down." It took him a long while, but he finally patted his own face and forced himself to settle down. The Holy Dragon's blessing granted him two valuable skills. If Rich Man's Defense gave him a solid, reliable safety net, then Infinite Tamer gave him a downright heaven-defying potential. However, the two of them had something in common—they both required money. "Gosh, why does everything need money?" When he thought about it carefully, even while holding a fortune of 1.8 billion marks, Aiden still felt a dull ache in his chest. Rich Man's Defense was fine. It was only there as a safety buffer for critical moments and didn't require pouring much resources into it. However, Infinite Tamer was a bottomless pit. No amount of marks would ever be enough to keep it running forever. "I shouldn't rush things. Gray is already strong enough for now. For the time being, there's no need to start mass-raising beasts. My priority is making use of my advantage to look for some key divine artifacts and items. "Once I've saved enough resources, combined with the returns from the Wealthlord's power, I'll start raising other tamed beasts. "At the very least, aside from necessary expenses, I need to save up to a hundred billion marks before I can even think about spending it on training." Aiden thought it through carefully. At this stage, the strange entities hadn't invaded yet, and the pressure of the game wasn't all that intense. Right now, the combat power of a single pet was far more important. If he was going to nurture one, it should be the most valuable one first. To be honest, while the Infinite Tamer was indeed powerful, its usefulness at the moment was still rather limited. But as long as the possibility existed, that was more than enough. When he eventually raised an entire army of divine-level beasts, it'd take the world by storm. Moreover, with a skill like the Power of Wealth, where spending money directly increased his stats, Aiden's own growth was absolutely terrifying. And once those stats were transferred onto his beasts… He was like a root buried deep underground, constantly feeding life and power upward. If only it weren't so costly… "Who would've thought that I, the freaking Wealthlord, would ever find myself short on money?" Aiden couldn't help but sigh. Being a Wealthlord was strong, but the Infinite Tamer skills required a huge amount of money. "Right! I still have Gray." He remembered all of a sudden. After all, the only reason he was able to accept the Holy Dragon's blessing in the first place was thanks to that little guy. Since he had obtained such powerful skills, Gray, who carried the hopes of dragonkind, was bound to be extraordinary.
