I Became a God After the Apocalypse Game
"Fine." Merrick dipped his head and snapped his wrist. A compact portal array unfurled beneath Gray, glowing like a miniature star. The flame realm locked them down tight, trapping him far more securely than before. A short blink, though—that still fell within reach. The portal array pulsed, then Gray vanished. A split second later, the baby dragon—barely Level 20—shot straight into the Inferno Dragon's burning dimension. The move felt reckless enough to get them all killed. Dragons in Doomsday's hierarchy lived at the absolute peak. Their Dragon's Might crushed nearly anything that stepped within range. Most creatures collapsed long before contact, their bodies shaking uncontrollably. Yet, Gray stood unfazed. Even staring straight into the Inferno Dragon's furnace-like eyes, he looked eager. His posture practically screamed, 'Let me at him.' Aiden ordered, "Gray! World-Shaking Dragon's Might!"Gray threw his head back and unleashed a fierce "Ryaaaa!" that rattled the fiery air. Their thoughts aligned instantly. The little dragon needed nothing more. He lifted his head again and released a soul-deep roar that ripped across the burning sky. He looked tiny, yet he carried the bloodline of a Mythical Beast—a true Dragon King. A tidal wave of ancient dominance burst from deep inside him, rolling outward like a shockwave. Everything inside that radius bowed instinctively. The Inferno Dragon was included. World-Shaking Dragon's Might threw the near-divine dragon into a one-point-five-second stun. The elemental storm froze mid-swirl, the magma's brilliance dimmed, and the entire flame realm shattered like brittle glass. The Inferno Dragon's massive frame sagged downward, suspended without power. Its Dragon-class forbidden spell, already at its climax, collapsed instantly. "You're kidding me! It actually worked?!"Merrick's eyes nearly popped out. His hand twitched like he might rip his entire beard off. Gray's body looked no bigger than a toddler's backpack, yet his roar knocked a behemoth dragon from the sky. The shock rattled Merrick all the way through. That little dragon could headline a throat-lozenge commercial with that voice. Shame nobody scouted him. What made the whole scene even wilder was Gray's refusal to stop. He launched another breath attack—Dragon Fangs—a forced five-second silence. "That's enough," Aiden gave the order sharply. Gray's rank soared high, though the Level gap remained vicious. They landed two absurdly powerful abilities through sheer surprise. Pressing further meant instant death once the Inferno Dragon recovered. They already accomplished the impossible. As the top-ranked powerhouse, Merrick caught the cue immediately—no explanation needed. A quick sweep of his hand opened a portal array, and he yanked Gray out of the fight. "Nice work." Aiden patted the chubby dragon's head before sending him into the beast space. Pop! With the flame realm down for a blink, Merrick clamped a hand onto Aiden's shoulder and crushed a portal scroll. Light engulfed them, carrying both out of the Dragon Mountain Range. Only then did the Inferno Dragon fully register the reality. Its pupils thinned, fury boiling under its scales. "No. Unacceptable! A mere roar shattered my forbidden spell and broke my consciousness for a moment. And..." Boom! Its claws slammed into nearby stone pillars, cracking them like soft cheese. It stared at its own talons. No mana responded; its entire casting core seemed sealed tight. Dragons were nightmares incarnate for spellcasters. As a Holy Judgment Dragon—apex of the apex—it erased mana from others effortlessly. Being suppressed itself? Unthinkable. The stun, the silence, and the collapse mattered far less than what the Inferno Dragon sensed next. That pulse inside the fledgling... That's my bloodline. That's kin. That tiny creature... is a dragon. "A presence even I cannot endure... Could the legend be true?" The Inferno Dragon murmured, "A being from beyond this plane... the greatest existence... will it truly carry the hope to halt the apocalypse?" Wind shrieked as its wings unfurled. The dragon lifted slowly, gaze fixed toward distant Leafport. It needed answers. ... Far from the mountain range. A portal array lit beneath two figures, returning them to reality. "Can't believe we made it out alive." Merrick drew in a deep breath of fresh air, eyes stinging. Still breathing... miraculous. My old bones nearly signed a lifelong lease with the Dragon Mountain Range.
