I Became a God After the Apocalypse Game
Epic equipment is extremely rare. If an appraiser is only half competent, the success rate drops sharply. "Epic?" The shop owner blinked. "Hold on. Why're you asking? Don't tell me you can… Wait, what?" He trailed off, eyes suddenly wide. Aiden flipped his hand, revealing an elegant pendant. 'Nightfall Pendant (Accessory), Tier: epic, Effect: Not yet appraised.' You've got to be kidding! It's real! The shop owner froze. His eyes lit up with the desperate gleam of a man who'd been single for centuries, suddenly seeing a goddess step out of a bath—pure, unfiltered hunger. "Sir, no worries. My shop can appraise epic-tier equipment." He straightened his posture. "Since it's epic equipment, I'll handle it personally. I guarantee a clean success." "What's the success rate?" Aiden asked."Eighty percent or higher. I'm a gold-tier appraiser. My skills are solid." "Eighty percent? Acceptable." Aiden nodded. That level sat comfortably in the mid-tier range among NPCs. Top-level NPC appraisers could guarantee complete success even on Legendary equipment. Those individuals never worked in regular shops and usually lived as hidden masters. Aiden knew where a few resided, although all were too far from Leafport to justify the trip. Epic equipment did not lose attributes on a failed appraisal. The worst outcome involved spending more money and trying again. He had no shortage of funds and valued his time more than his wallet. "The appraisal fee is one hundred marks," the shop owner said. "In case of failure, the payment is nonrefundable. Is that acceptable?" He rubbed his hands nervously. Owning rare equipment was one thing, but paying the fee was another. A hundred marks was no small amount for most Level 11 players. "No problem. I've got a few more epic equipment as well. Go ahead and appraise them all together."Aiden placed several more epic equipment from the Abyss Trial onto the counter. "Wow! All of these are epic?" Seven pieces total. Their glow filled the entire shop, nearly blinding the owner. He had never seen anything like it. Who just casually lays out seven epic items like they're nothing? It's like this kid raided a dragon's hoard. His head was spinning. Since when do Level 11 players get this insane? "You appraising or not? If not, I'm leaving," Aiden said with a frown. "All right! I'll appraise it!" The moment he sensed his walking gold mine might leave, the shop owner panicked. "Sir, please don't rush. I'm on it!" He stretched out both hands, activating his appraisal skill. Ding! A flash of white light. Luck was steady—a clean success.'Nightfall Pendant (Lv10)' 'Tier: epic' 'Energy +40' 'Strength +40' 'Dark Damage Taken –20%' "Not bad." Aiden equipped the pendant. A Level 10 epic accessory with attributes on par with Level 20 gold equipment would serve him well for a long while. "Not bad? For something this good?" The shop owner twitched at the corner of his mouth. Kids these days are outrageous. He had spent his youth roaming the world in bronze equipment until late stages, and silver equipment had been a rare treasure. Complaints or not, his hands kept moving. White light flashed repeatedly. Out of the seven pieces, only one appraisal failed. Unfortunately, the rest did not suit Aiden's build, so he left them unequipped. He opened his attribute panel. 'Player: Nighthale' 'Class: Wealthlord (Unique), Beastmaster' 'Level: 11 (1.20%)' 'Status: HP: 990, Mana: 2640, Hunger: 100' 'Core Attributes: STR: 142, PHYS: 99, EN: 264, AGI: 110' 'Rare Attributes: Luck: 65, Charisma: 68' Simply savage. Energy at 264 meant that even a basic magic skill scroll—something as simple as Water Orb—would let him deal more than 300 damage with ease. Most Level 11 combat players followed a standard distribution—two points in Strength, two in Physique, and one in Agility.
