I Became a God After the Apocalypse Game
Aiden felt that completing the class advancement must have consumed some of the divinity in that drop of Divine Blood. Even so, it had boosted all four of his core attributes by a full 1,000 points. So what would a full drop of Divine Blood do? How massive would the increase be? He glanced at the remaining drop of Divine Blood in his inventory. But he only thought about it. He didn't intend to use it just yet. After all, this last drop had a far more important purpose. With a thought, a massive, fiery-red egg appeared before him. Even a god of that strength had been torn apart—the Undying Phoenix's power was unquestionable. As its direct descendant, this egg was almost certainly of Mythical level. And that drop of Divine Blood had been prepared precisely for this. Aiden studied the Undying Phoenix egg. There was no hatch time listed. Not even an Attributes Panel appeared. It was as if this wasn't an egg at all, just a lifeless stone. Just as the Undying Phoenix had said, after so many years of divinity being drained, the egg had lost its vitality. Without hesitation, Aiden took out the Divine Blood and let it drip onto the eggshell. Immediately, the Undying Phoenix egg began to shake violently, and searing heat surged out. "What the—" Merrick froze, dumbfounded. Where had that huge egg come from? He didn't know the details, but judging by the intense aura, the tier couldn't be low. This kid hadn't just gotten a dragon egg, had he? Something that could rival a Tier-5 beast egg? Merrick stared at Aiden, suspicion written all over his face. It was entirely possible. After all, the Temple of Hephaestus was a godly domain. The danger there was only greater than in the Wyrm's Lair. Even if he didn't understand why a beast egg was there, seeing something of this quality wasn't impossible. "Unbelievable… this is insane. Could he actually be a god's illegitimate child? How could his luck be this ridiculous? You're d*mn cursed!" Merrick was completely shocked. One dragon egg had already made him jealous. Now this? He felt like breaking his own molars out of frustration. No matter what Merrick thought, Aiden didn't care. He focused solely on the Undying Phoenix egg. Soon, it seemed the egg had absorbed all of the Divine Blood. The searing heat subsided, and the egg returned to a calm state. And then, finally, the Info Panel appeared. 'Hatch Time: 71 hours 59 minutes 59 seconds' "Just three days?" Aiden's eyes lit up. He had worried that, like the previous dragon egg, the Undying Phoenix egg would need Life Essence to catalyze it after using Divine Blood. But it seemed that wouldn't be necessary. Only three days. Satisfied, Aiden stored the Undying Phoenix egg back in his inventory. All that remained now was to wait patiently. "Merrick, let's go." "Huh? We're leaving already?" Merrick blinked. "Not gonna explore a bit more?" "We've been through the temple. What's left to see?" Aiden asked, frowning. "Did you find anything?" "N-No… just asking." Merrick shook his head in frustration. This trip had netted him absolutely nothing. In hindsight, he might as well have stuck to collecting marks as a bodyguard—at least he would've made some money. Now, he had been nothing but a tagalong.Thinking back on their earlier talk of cooperation and mutual gain, Merrick wanted to smack himself. In the end, if he wanted any real profit, he had to follow this kid. Cooperation? Forget it. If he could do it all over, Merrick swore he wouldn't make the same mistake. But now, it was too late. All he could do was sulk as he made his way home. … Soon, the two returned to Leafport. Aiden wasted no time and headed straight to where the Dwarves had temporarily set up. "Get out of here! If you bother me again, I won't hold back—I'll smash you to pieces!" Just as they reached the door, Thor's furious voice echoed through the air. A white figure stumbled out of the room, tumbling awkwardly. "What in the world is that?" Merrick gawked. The creature before them was bizarre in every possible way.It had arms and legs, looking almost human, but its outfit was absurd—completely oval-shaped and entirely white. "Alan?" Aiden squinted, recognizing the figure. It was none other than Leafport's City Lord, Alan. But why was he dressed like that? "What are you wearing?" Aiden asked, confused. Why would a City Lord be in a full-body mascot costume? Life got rough, and he decided to busk? "Uh… Nighthale, it's you?" Alan looked embarrassed, adjusting the crooked suit over his head. He resembled a long, upright grub more than a man.
