I Became a God After the Apocalypse Game
Even with the Ravager Horn of the Destroyer and the Cooldown Stone in hand, the plan was far from simple. The two seal nodes were separated by a great distance, and skill activation took time. The entire sequence was tricky from start to finish. One slip, and the only chance would be gone. But Aiden was no ordinary human. Back then, he had climbed to the absolute peak just below the divine tier wearing nothing but junk-tier gear. His control over skill timing was second nature, as effortless as breathing. As the saying went, with numbers on one's side, nothing in the world was truly difficult. Under the Undying Phoenix' baffled gaze, Aiden quickly calculated the exact positions and timing for the skill activations. He dashed to the first target point and instantly triggered Might of the Destroyer. In the next heartbeat, the Cooldown Stone flared, forcefully resetting the skill. Might of the Destroyer activated again. Two terrifying surges of power tore through the air in opposite directions, one after the other. Yet in the end, they struck their respective seal points at precisely the same moment. Boom! Boom! Both seals shattered simultaneously. In that instant, the Undying Phoenix clearly felt the chains binding it lose all effect. Savage power flooded back into its body. Rumble! Flames roared across the sky. The monstrous divine beast that had been imprisoned here for centuries finally saw the light of day again. "Human! Offer up your miserable life! The great Hephaestus has descended! Kneel!" At the same time, a majestic voice thundered across the world. Hephaestus had crossed countless dimensions and finally arrived at the Temple of Hephaestus. With a single step, the god appeared at the edge of the rift, gazing down with lofty arrogance. But what stood before him was not a trembling human crushed beneath divine might. Golden flames surged upward instead, carrying scorching waves of heat that rushed straight toward the sky. A colossal figure slowly rose within the fire. Two eyes filled with boundless killing intent emerged, blotting out the heavens as they locked onto Hephaestus. Hephaestus was stunned. For a split second, he wondered if he had woken up wrong. Seeing a firebird rampaging around like this had to be a hallucination. After all, the seal beneath the rift had been laid jointly by five major gods. How could it possibly be broken so easily? And yet this happened. The moment something went wrong at the Temple of Hephaestus, he had set out at once, specifically to prevent any accident. Even so, he was still too late. "Hephaestus… you didn't expect this, did you? I have… returned!" The heavy voice carried a burning wind that slammed into Hephaestus' face. Even as Hephaestus, he had no confidence whatsoever against the terrifying being before him. "Impossible! How did you break free from the seal? Even you couldn't have done it! You lost so much of your true power!" Hephaestus roared, disbelief written plainly in his eyes. "No… was it that human?" Suddenly realizing something, his gaze shot toward the depths of the rift. "That wretched human—how could he possibly achieve this?" His eyes flickered. Compared to the Undying Phoenix breaking free on its own, the idea that an extremely weak human had caused all this was even harder to accept. "That doesn't matter." The Undying Phoenix' deep voice rang out once more."What matters is that you despicable pseudogods must now pay for your crimes. Only your filthy blood can cleanse my shame." Rumble! As the final syllable fell, the temperature around them skyrocketed. Golden light poured from the Undying Phoenix's body. At that moment, it was like a blazing golden sun, radiating heat beyond endurance. The air twisted. Stone melted like caramel, flowing down along the edge of the rift. With a single beat of its wings, scorching winds sharper than blades ripped through everything in their path, shattering all they touched. Two massive fire tornadoes formed instantly, stretching into the sky as they swept toward Hephaestus together. "You really think you've got me cornered? You were sealed for all these years and had your true power stripped away. I don't believe you still have much strength left." Hephaestus let out a cold laugh and raised his staff high. The crimson gem at its tip erupted with blinding light.Obscure chants spilled from his lips like a low murmur. A blood-red sun slowly rose into the sky. At that moment, it was as if this world held two suns at once. One golden. One blood-red. The entire world seemed set ablaze, light flooding every corner. Even the deepest depths of the rift were illuminated. Boom! The twin fire tornadoes slammed head-on into the blood-red sun, unleashing the fiercest collision yet.
