Chapter 133 Ring of Attrition

Aiden's gaze drifted toward the Ring of Attrition. Ring of Attrition (Lv.40) Tier: Legendary Energy +5% Energy +300 Damage +5% Devourer (Passive): The Devourer draws strength from your attacks. 3% of all damage dealt is converted into health.' "Perfect. A magic-type ring. Exactly what I needed." Aiden smiled, sliding the Ring of Attrition onto his finger. Then he reached into his inventory again and pulled out a new stack of gear—over a dozen pieces of epic quality. Dahl blinked. "Wait… there's more?" His face turned pale, and sweat gathered along his hairline. Appraising gear drained psionic energy, and the higher the rarity, the heavier the toll. Those three legendary items earlier had already left him worn out. Eight appraisals might not sound like much, but he felt it deep in his bones. Now Aiden was dropping ten more epic pieces on him. "Think you can handle it? If not, I'll find someone else," Aiden said lightly, his tone almost teasing. "Sir, please. There's no such thing as a man who can't handle it," Dahl shot back with a shaky grin. He snatched the equipment and got to work before Aiden could say another word. The forge burst with light as he activated his skill. Sparks and glows flashed across the room one after another until finally, it was done. Every epic item had been appraised. Most were above level forty. Out of them all, Aiden could only use three—a hood, a pair of gloves, and mage boots. The lowest level requirement was still forty-two. "I'll need to pass the Tier Advancement Trial first," Aiden muttered to himself. After hitting level forty, the climb became brutal. The experience needed for each level shot up like a wall of steel. A normal player would take at least ten days to gain a single level. For Aiden, that kind of delay didn't exist. He knew these pieces would come in handy soon enough. He reached into his inventory again and poured out the rest of his gold equipment. The heavy clatter of metal echoed through the forge as the gear hit the ground. The pile grew higher and higher until it looked like a golden hill. The light bouncing off it bathed the entire room in gold. Dahl froze on the spot. His eyes widened, nearly blinded by the shine. There had to be over a hundred pieces, maybe even more. Just thinking about the energy it would take to appraise all that made his scalp tingle. "Sir…" he stammered, his lips trembling. "Do you want me to… appraise all of this right now?""The sooner, the better," Aiden said with a small wave. "But don't push yourself. Take your time." He gestured toward the glittering pile. "When you're done, leave them here. Sell them through the shop. Use the money to pay your workers and keep the forge running. "If that's not enough, come find me." "It's enough. More than enough," Dahl said, wiping his forehead. Relief flooded his face. If Aiden had made him finish that tonight, he'd probably collapse before sunrise. "But sir," he said, his eyes still locked on the golden heap, "this is worth millions of marks. You're not actually planning to hire that many blacksmiths, are you?" "Not yet," Aiden replied coolly. "But later, maybe." He reached into his inventory once more and pulled out a crafting blueprint—Divine Beastclaw Gauntlet. "Can you forge this?" "Let me see," Dahl said, taking the paper carefully. The second his eyes hit the text, he went still. His voice dropped to a whisper. "A legendary blueprint… and it's a growthing equipment?" His pulse thundered in his chest. It didn't add up. None of it did. "Something wrong?" Aiden frowned. Legendary gear was rare, yes, but it wasn't exactly a miracle. No blacksmith had ever reacted like this before. "N-No, sir, nothing's wrong," Dahl said quickly, his voice trembling. "It's just… I can't believe it. A blueprint that doesn't need a forging medium actually exists. That's impossible!" "Forging medium?" Aiden asked, raising a brow. "The medium is what's inside the blueprint," Dahl explained hurriedly. "You might not know this, but every crafting blueprint holds a set of forging data. Once a blacksmith learns it, the blueprint disappears. It's a one-use thing. "After that, the blacksmith keeps the forging medium from the blueprint. With that medium and the right materials, they can craft the item. "But this blueprint you gave me… it doesn't have that medium at all.""So what are you saying?" Aiden pressed. Dahl took a shaky breath, his eyes blazing with excitement. "It means this blueprint won't vanish after being learned. It holds an entire forging system within it! "Any blacksmith can study it as long as their forging level is high enough. "And if they have the materials, they can build the equipment straight away. "Success still depends on skill, of course," he added, voice trembling with awe.
